Chartres Space Colony is the oldest space colony in Gallic space that still retains its original core modules since the foundation of the colony in the year 341 A.G.S. It was expanded several times, increasing its housing capacity to over 1.500 by 650 A.G.S. Along with multiple housing modules, the station also has a number of light factories, and is known as one of the primary sources of high-quality plastics in Gallic space. The station has been operated by EFL since its foundation, but the company is rumored to be considering to transfer the station to civilian authorities due to the low profit margins versus the high administrative costs.
