History

Deneth Aleski (official name on record: Wilhelm Deneth Aleski) was born on December 3rd, 789 A.S. in Wolfsburg, New Berlin. Intelligence indicates that he lived a quiet, upper middle class and aristocratic life. His mother (Jeannette Schrodinger-Aleski) is the Head Nurse of a small hospital and his father (Eckhard Aleski) currently serves as chairman of Stahl Arms, a moderately large corporate conglomerate providing light arms and tactical equipment to Rheinland ground forces. Intelligence also indicates that the family (at the very least his father) maintains strong ties with the Chancellery of Rheinland.

Little documentation about his early life exists. Richness of information increases only when the subject reaches age 18, when he enrolls in the Military College of Rheinland. He took a 3 year Officer Training course, along with a civilian collegiate degree. This is customary in Rheinland. Graduates at the age of 21.

Documentation concerning the subject's military service in Rheinland are scarce. Entered service at age 21, most likely in a space-borne unit. What we do know is that internal disputes with superiors forced Aleski out of the service at the age of 26. He may or may not have spent 6 to 12 months in a Rheinwehr "black" operations unit tasked primarily with covert operations.

Upon defection, the subject spent one year in the Red Hessian Army as a fighter pilot. He left the paramilitary organization at the age of 27.

On December of 816 A.S., the subject requested political asylum at the New London Central Recruitment Station. The subject identified himself as "Wilhelm Deneth Aleski" and indicated his place of birth as "New Berlin, Rheinland". After an initial background investigation cleared him of any immediate threat and given wartime necessities, the subject was enrolled into the Bretonian Armed Forces as a frontline pilot. Naturalization occurred after 6 months of military service.

Career in the Bretonian Armed Forces

- Enrolled on December 12th 816 A.S. to the rank of Ensign, assigned to BAF 5th Fleet "Suffolk". Exempt from Basic Qualification due to past experience.

- Head trauma sustained a few weeks later due to catastrophic failure in the pilot's standard-issue Templar VHF. Medical leave of 3 weeks granted. Went AWOL for two more weeks. No charges laid.

- Promotion to the rank of Lieutenant, pilot transferred from Battleship Suffolk to the BAF 6th Fleet based on the Essex. (Longer than usual delay for initial promotion explained by an executive order from MI5 to allow for a thorough background check on pilot.)

- Lieutenant Deneth Aleski is declared Unfit for Combat by his immediate superior, on advice of the HMS-Essex Medical Staff. Reason cited was previous head trauma sustained in non-combat related activities. Recommended administrative action: Transfer to BAF Logistics & Support Branch.

- Transfer from BAF 6th Fleet Essex to Admiralty Headquarters (HMS-Harlow), Aleski was selected to replace a vacancy in the communications team of the Fleet Admiral. Military Occupational Specialty modified from 011 "Strike/Fighter Pilot" to 426 "Communications Specialist - Non-commissioned"

- Promotion to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander. Posting maintained.

- Promotion to the rank of Commander, MOS modified from 426 to 427 "Communications Specialist - Commissioned". Posting maintained.

- Promotion to the rank of Captain. Posting maintained.

- Appointment to the position of Acting Admiral on April 24th 818 A.S. on orders of Fleet Admiral James Ralston (on advice of the Admiralty Board). Justification for the appointment was to fill the vacant positions of Military Governor of Newcastle and leader of the BAF 11th Fleet "Grimsby". Permanency of the appointment is to be determined by the Admiralty Board.

- The Admiralty Board votes unanimously to institute Captain Deneth Aleski to the rank of Admiral. Introduced as a permanent member of the Admiralty Board, effective April 25th 818 A.S.

- Admiral Deneth Aleski is released from his duties as member of the Admiralty Board, as well Commander of the BAF 11th Fleet. Officer resigned of his own volition, with no mention of misconduct in his service record.

- Re-enlistment request accepted, given the rank of Commodore.

- Re-instated to the rank of Admiral, tasked with military coordination of Bretonian allies against Gallic royal forces.

Ships

Because of accumulated head injuries sustained both in combat and in non-combat related military service, Admiral Deneth Aleski was declared unfit for combat and is thus prohibited from piloting any strike craft. Similarly, because of his leadership role in the Armed Forces' bureaucracy, the officer only rarely commands capital vessels.

Former ships

  • Falcon - CTE-3000 Civilian Heavy Fighter: Aleski's former personal ship. Fate: Sold in August 818 A.S. to a freelancer of unknown origins. Sale is registered to have taken place on Planet New London.
  • Wraith - 90-ARKM-N45 Rheinland Very Heavy Fighter: Rheinwehr-issued. Fate: Unknown, presumably under Red Hessian Army custody.
  • Odin - RH-GM40 Red Hessian Very Heavy Fighter: RHA-issued fighter. Fate: Registered by Central Leeds Planetary Spaceport authorities soon after Deneth Aleski defected to Bretonia. Kept in storage for two weeks there. Subsequently transferred to Winchester Station for technical inspection on orders of the Armed Forces Special Research Group. Craft was then fully dismantled for reverse-engineering and then sent to an undisclosed location for further evaluation. Was used briefly by the Queen Carina's Academy for training purposes. The craft was finally dismantled and melted.
  • Templar - B-1290 Bretonia Very Heavy Fighter: BAF-issued fighter. Given back to the BAF upon release from military service.
