Background

"Cardamine...

The fools who landed on Malta got a dependence of the stuff and now they are paying the price. Still, they've become rather powerful in the time we've been here" -HutuTutsi

The Hispania

What was suppose to be the normal trip to Sirius on the SS Hispania turned into a disaster by the hand of the Coalition saboteurs. Half of the crew decided to cut their losses and leave into Omicron Gamma. The rest of us, a mixture of South Americans, Spaniards, and Italians, stayed with the ship until we stopped in a system called Omicron Alpha.

The Colonization

A man by the name of Gustavo Petro who was of Colombian descent was the first of many to refuse to land on Malta and that it was safer to build a space colony and begin trading. Unfortunately, most of the passengers went on to the planet and developed into the Outcasts. Due to the bad name that the Outcasts had given to themselves in the houses, there was little chance of trading with them so the Colombians had to keep a very close alliance with the Outcasts.

The Colombians went on to colonize a remote part of Omicron Alpha and set up their home headquarters called Bogota Station. This was their main colony and is the most guarded station to this day. They tended to go wherever there was strong Outcast influence and considered themselves to be "uninfected" Outcasts. The scientists of the Colombians developed an anti-cardamine chemical that could clean the commodities from Malta and make them safe for use and consumption. The Colombians therefore no longer needed to be good with the House governments so their relationship with the Outcasts as close allies was sealed.

New Alliances

On an expedition to Omicron-82, the Colombians discovered a rather hostile faction known as the Phantoms. However, by agreeing to provide technology and commodities to each other, they formed a close alliance. As a result, there are Colombians flying out there with both Outcast ships and Phantoms ships. The Colombians made no further effort to become friendly with any of the surrounding factions especially the ones that do not lay in the Omicron Belt. There is also the well known war between the Outcasts and the Corsairs which the Colombians refuse to be a part of due to their strong hispanic ideals. They refused to kill their own and may be considered friendly by the Corsairs.

Uneasiness

While there were many alliances with the various factions of the Omicron Belt, there was the uneasiness that came about with all of the hispanics againsts the house governments. The Colombians in particular completely disliked anyone associated with the 4 main houses and anyone in the Taus systems. The direct connection to Tau-37 in Omicron Alpha allowed Colombian raiding parties to easily go in and cause trouble. There was an incident in Sigma-19 with the GMG and the Kusari Naval Forces which wiped out a big chunk of the Colombian Navy and left Omicron Beta virtually unguarded. The huge amount of asteroids in the system made it too much work for the Kusari Naval Forces and they withdrew their forces. To this day there is big conflict between the Colombians and the GMG and Kusari Naval Forces.

Gallia

The Colombians were very surprised to see the "abandoned" minefield in Omicron-80 explode with a path leading into Lorraine. The Outcasts did not give a friendly welcome but the Colombians happily listened to The Council. Over time the Colombians realized that Gallia was trying to take over the Taus and the House governments. The Colombians therefore turned on The Council and made a deal with the Gallic government to help them on their endeavor to take over the Tau's and House Governments in exchange for keeping the Omicron systems intact, although it is not clear how trustworthy Gallia really is.

Current Roster

Rank Structure

All new members will be known as a Recruit, or "Marinero". They will receive the clan entrance bonus and are not bound by any RP rules that may be associated with the clan except that they cannot get any Capital Ships larger than a Gunboat without consent.

Chiefs, or "Suboficial Jefes" will have access to the clan's funds to be used responsibly. They are still not bound by RP rules and are free to Non-RP except that they cannot get any Capital Ships larger than a Battlecruiser without consent.

Captains, or "Capitánes" will be subject to the possibility of RP on the Non-RP server and they will be assigned to a specific system to be in charge of a base. Even if there is a position open, there is no guarantee that one will get in. They will have access to all funds and all ships available to the Outcasts and the Phantoms.

There are two Co-Leaders, or "Vicealmirantes". They are assigned to look over all of the systems and take charge of minor diplomatic situations. They are the head judges and are in charge of helping out with any freelancer knowledge. This is the highest rank that a member can achieve.

The Leader, or "Almirante" is in charge of all of the subordinates and all of the systems and has the final word in any major diplomatic decisions or clan wide actions.
