Origin Somewhere in the Border worlds
Affiliation Golden Chrysanthemums, Consortium
Born April 23 779 A.S., Planet Houston
Died Still alive. Heavily Cybernetically augmented as of 816 A.S.

Ironwatsas is the current leaders of the Consortium in Sirius as of 815 A.S. He is known to be a brilliant if extremely cold and mechanistic military leader, a skilled diplomat, and has in less then 3 years, brought the Consortium out of the shadows as a ring of interconnected spies into a highly organised and equipped military Insurgency. Prior to joining the Consortium, he was a freelance mercenary pilot operating around Sirius. Following his near-death at the hands of the Kusari Naval Forces during a raid on Planet Harris, he was abducted by the Consortium and his conciousness transferred into an Artificial Intelligence, and placed into a Robotic body.

His only known living relative is CobaltWatsas, his brother and an operative of the Junker Congress. Though given the prior extent of the Watsas family line, and the fact that many of their relatives were far off the radar, it is possible that others may be alive and around.

Design & Features

Watsas' current Robotic body deliberately resembles and uses parts in common with Consortium Blackwatch elite infantry and special forces units. It's dimensions are roughly equivelent to a heavily built human male wearing body armor, with a gross weight of about 2.4 tonnes. The current Mk-II model is made of an external Shock absorbing 'Hug Layer', made of High-strength re-inforced, heat resistant textiles and fiberised Super Alloy weaves. Beneath this layer is a series of high-impact foam pads laced with energy-distributing superconductors. This outer layer serves as a shock absorber and disguises Watsas' metallic skeleton.

Beneath the outer layer, Watsas' internals vaguely resemble a metallic human skeleton made of an unknown metallic alloy. Little information is available on his internal workings, though it is known that he makes no audible noise when operating, save for indicator chimes. He occasionally enters a 'sleep mode' wherin it is belived he somehow recharges internal batteries. He is known to be able to manage wireless communication with his subordinates via the Consortium neurocyte network and can if required directly interface with compatable computer equipment via built in jacks and cables.

Watsas' head contains a multifunction visual and audio sensor suite, as well as an enhanced reality sensor system containing laser rangefinders, miniturised radar and sonar displays, infrared detectors, as well as thermal cameras, gas and radiation detectors, and part of his wireless communication system. This is encased inside a headpiece identical to a Blackwatch elite, with a ultra high impact plastic-like material cowling, with an exposed sensor iris in the center and audio pickup units roughly where 'ears' would be. The Iris emmits light when active, and seems to change color to indicate 'mood'. It also functions as a focusing lens which can emmit a low-power laser beam which is mainly used for targeting, communication, but can achive high enough wavelenghts to blind opponants.

The arm and leg joints operate using a unique maglev system and high viscosity gel as opposed to mechanical servos. This allows Watsas' a degree of mobility exceeding that of an un-augmented human. It also allows for massively increased strength, although several mechanical safeties are built in to ensure that Watsas cannot inadvertantly crush humans or other objects unintentionally (though these can be de-activated with a thought if he does need to do so). While Watsas is designed for combat, he is rarely seen in person, though he has been known to directly operate remote controlled drone ships and robotic bodies identical to his own. It is theorirised, but unknown, if he can transfer his active conciousness between these bodies.

Personality

Watsas retains much of his origional human personality to some degree, but above all else is devious, cold, calculating, and ruthless. As a result of his Cybernetic augmentation, he has what can be described as mutliple personality disorder, abiet highly controlled and conciouslly used to whatever ends he needs.

Often, when dealing with non-consortium individuals, both friend and foe, he has been known to adopt a light hearted, silly, and often lunaticial personality. Often creating situations which could be described as humorous. This is most apparent in his dealings with the Golden Chrysanthemums, and allows him to socialise better with non-augmented humans. It has also been used as a counter-intelligence tool, as in his early presance in Kusari after augmentation, where he was described as a 'Raving Lunatic' during his interactions with the Farmers Alliance and KNF.

However, Watsas can also be a devious and cunning authoritarian figure when he has to be. He is still fully capable of human empathy, and the full range of emotions, which has been shown often in tense diplomatic negotiations with outside parties. Though his baseline persona is that of an emotionless, logical, machine. While some of his personalities may be genuine, and others simple fabrications, the basic root intellect is the same as that of any other Consortium soldier.

History

Little is known of Ironwatsas' childhood or early life before 781 A.S. The first records of him indicated he worked as a Freelance pilot and occasionally as a mercenary. Shortly after the Nomad war, he worked as a courier for a smuggler ring affiliated with the Corsairs. During which, he was ambushed by Outcast pirates and managed to fight them off sucessfully. His skill earned the attention of the Hogosha based off of the Luxury Liner Hawaii. He performed several jobs for them (who were under the veil of anonimity at the time. However, he eventually wore out his use, and was framed by the Hogosha for artifact smuggling, and locked away in Fuchu prison.

Eventually, he was freed in a raid by the Blood Dragons and Golden Chrysanthemums and taken back to Ainu. It is unknown what went on afterward, but Watsas gained a significant degree of respect and admaration for the Sisterhood. Soon afterward, Watsas plotted his revenge as he went to Planet Harris on a job to rebuild his fortune, using a ship provided by the GC. Unfortunately, Watsas was cought in a bombing raid by KNF forces during their siege of harris. His ship was destroyed, and Watsas was cought in the blast.

Immedietly afterward, agents of the Consortium took Watsas' body to an unknown location (possibly the \CS\ Morningstar) and proceeded to build him into a Cybernetic body. Watsas, with little free will at the time, proceeded to begin participating in Consortium operations. While Watsas was specifically created to be the new 'Overwatch' of the Consortium, he was first put through a series of trials in which he was unaware of his affiliation. Known operations include the Junker Air incedent, an abortive attempt to sell Rhineland Wraith class heavy fighters to the Red Hessian Army, and ultimately the beginnings of the Consortium's build-up phase into the military force it is today.

Eventually, Watsas returned to Kusari and sought refuge with the Golden Chrysanthemums, where he worked as an unpaid mercenary to earn their and the Blood Dragons' trust over months and several battles with the Farmers Alliance and Kusari Naval forces. Ultimately, after the Morioka Incedent, the Consortium was revealed in earnest. Since then, Watsas has mainly remained on Ainu Depot, co-ordinating Consortium operations from his Labrotory and the Tea House there.
