James Aslan(born 769 A.S.) is a member of the Outcasts and one of the leaders on the Senate in the XTF, a privately owned militia who were former slaves. Aslan has been a part of the XTF since the days they were in Rheinland and rose to its leadership shortly after the defeat of their founder Morpheus. Since that time the leadership has been divided between himself, Lich and Achilies. He is the adoptive father of Alex Jaguar.
Early Life
Born on Planet New Berlin James is the only child of Angela and Tony. Angela died in child birth.
His father, a Humpback captain, raised James to follow in his footsteps as a trader. In his late teens James' father was killed during a pirate attack in the Sigmas. James continued on as a trader until the political situation in Rheinland forced him to choose another career.
Smuggling and Joining the XTF
Aslan moved on to becoming a smuggler of Blood Diamonds amongst other things until he was forced underground by the Rheinland Federal Police. During this time Aslan joined the XTF who were a group of pirates at the time that were known for hitting big supply trains carrying food.
In 806 A.S. the Rheinland Military forced the XTF into running, a large portion of them went missing or were captured at this time and the rest fled to Liberty.
Liberty and the Defeat of Morpheus
Once in Liberty the XTF began building its forces back up again but it was to be short lived as in 807 A.S. a tratior within their ranks sold them out to the authorities and they were hunted down and defeated, losing their leader Morpheus in the action. Aslan was captured along with the rest of the survivors and during his imprisonment it was desided that he should be the new leader even though they were prisoners the group managed to stay together.
Slavery and Becoming an Outcast
In 811 A.S. corrupt LPI officials sold the XTF members into slavery to smugglers to do with what they pleased. By 812 A.S. they had all been transported to Planet Malta and sold to the Outcasts to work on the cardamine fields. It would be 4 years before Aslan would be seen flying another ship.
816 A.S. a rich and powerful Outcast seeking revenge purchased all of the members of the XTF and gave them ships to fly, he only asked in return that they kill his enemies for him. The Outcast that purchased them was very old but Aslan made it his promise that he would repay the man with the deaths of his enemies before he died.
Present Day
The leadership of the XTF has since been split between 3 of its members, Aslan being one of them. Present day, James flies as a fighter though his reflexes have slowed with age, he teaches his adopted son Alex Jaguar all the smuggling tricks he knows whilst forfilling his promise to the old man that owns them.
