Description

LPI, or Liberty Police, Inc. are donut addicted stereotypical policemen. Prone to inane bouts of random chatter on topics ranging from food to the state of toilet paper on board Kusari battleships. Not terribly deadly to foes, they nevertheless can eliminate them by sheer irritation from said chatter.

Notable LPI officers include Matt Myers, the current leader, as John Baxter is buried in paperwork up to his eyeballs. Cesar Fezini, Tom Jonas, and others constitute the main body.

Ranks

Chief of Police (1); The leader of all LPI officers. He is authorized to fly any faction allowed ship and control the LPL Alcatraz (the Alcatraz is missing since a Hacker attack).

Deputy Chief of Police (2); The two deputies of the Chief of Police, who speak for the Chief when he is not present and may overrule the Inspectors. They are authorized to fly any faction allowed ship and control the LPL Alcatraz.

Commander (4); The head of a single systems LPI department. Has authority over all lower ranking officers, though will generally only operate in their own system. They are authorized to fly all snub ships and maintain a local bursar and prison ship as a prison liner.

Captain (4); The head of a single LPI precinct assisting their systems Commander. Has authority over all lower ranking officers, though will generally only operate in their own system. They are authorized to fly Patriots and Liberators and maintain a armoured transport as a paddywagon.

Sergeant (13); Low ranking officers who supervise the Corporals and Officers. Has authority over all lower ranking officers, though they will generally only operate in their own system. They are authorized to fly Patriots and Liberators and are also eligible for membership of the Special Weapons Assault Team.

Detective (Unlimited); The serious cops: they investigate crime, and are the lead police in the event of drug busts. They are allowed to fly a large variety of vessels as 'unmarked' ships.

Corporal (Unlimited); The assistants of a Sergeant, and the lowest supervisory rank in the LPI. Has authority over all lower ranking officers, though they will generally only operate in their own system. They are authorized to fly Patriots and Liberators.

Officer (Unlimited); The regular ranks of the LPI, with no supervisory authority or power. They will generally operate only in their own system. New regulations allow them to fly Liberators.

Ships

LZF-6364 "Patriot" Permitted for use by all officers of Liberty Police Inc.

LZF-9805 "Liberator" Permitted for use by all officers of Liberty Police Inc. of Corporal rank and above.

XB-2 "Havok II" Permitted for use only for members of the Special Weapons Assault Team and officers of Commander rank and above.

BDR-804 "Guardian" Permitted for any SWAT members per agreement with Navy authorization.

Armoured Transport Permitted for use only as paddywagons under the authorization and command of an officer ranked Captain or above with the designation of LPU preceding.

Prison Liner Permitted for use only as bursar and prison ships under the authorization and command of the Commander of a system department with the designation of LPL preceding, and as the flagship LPL Alcatraz by the Deputy Chiefs and the Chief.
