A civilian installation built in 773 A.S., Metz is largely operated by the Royal Police. Since the Lorraine system lacks any habitable planets, the station houses food, water and oxygen supplies for nearby installations. The role of Metz station increased since the first biodome was attached to it in 780 A.S., with more biodomes constructed later, making it the largest food production facility located in open space.
