A warm oceanic world with small islands suitable for human settlements, Nevers was the first colonized planet in the Gallic Border Worlds. High property costs didn't encourage speedy population growth, and industry had no resources and cheap labour to develop, contrary to what happened on Planet Marne in the nearby Champagne system. Currently, the planet is one of the most well-known resorts in the Gallic space; despite the war, Nevers remains a relatively safe place, and convoys with tourists coming to and from the Core Systems are very well defended and rarely subject to pirate attacks.
