Inside the Dauphine system is the Planet Privas. It has been proven to once been a rare astronomical phenomenon now condensed into one planet. The only way the occurance can be viewed now is by telescopes from a far off system, due to it collapsing a few centuries before Gallia was colonized.

The Privas planetary cluster is a rare astronomical phenomenon never before seen in Sirius. Five planets are located within the gravity well of each other, with one ring surrounding them all. Four of the planets are similar medium-sized gas giants, most probably sharing the same origin, whilst the fifth planet, [[Privas V]], is a small moon that might have once been the core of another gas giant before its atmosphere was lost either to the gravity of the other worlds, or to a massive cataclysm of an unknown nature. All five planets share one rarified outer atmosphere comprised mainly of methane and inert gases.

The relative stability of Privas contradicts the laws of physics, and since the moment of its discovery astronomers have doubted its natural origin. There is a theory that the cluster is not a natural formation but rather a result of a solar engineering experiment conducted by an ancient alien race, possibly the [[Daam-K'Vosh]]. Unfortunately, the phenomenon collapsed ages ago, so no expeditions can be performed to it. Additionally, it is possible that all five planet cores were moved together without leaving any traces of sentient activity.
