Little is known about Radford other than it is supposedly the primary research facility of the Liberty Navy, responsible for analysis and development of all kinds of technology, Sirian or otherwise. More than just a closely-guarded secret, no validated information about the station and its capabilities is available, all data being classified under Security Level Omega and only accessible by the scientists found on the station and the absolutely highest ranks of the Liberty Navy. Even so, access to any and all information regarding Radford and the research conducted there would require exclusive permission from the current Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, with not even the President himself or the higher-ups of the Liberty Security Force and the mysterious Division 18 having access to that data.
What little information is available, together with what can be taken from rumors whispered in some corners of Liberty, suggests that Radford is capable of operating autonomously and without the need for external supply shipments for several years. On top of that, the station seems to be protected by a yet-unknown type of shield, masking it from all prying eyes and making the collection of scan data outright impossible.
It goes without say that the same would apply to any attempts at gaining entry to the station itself, something which is discouraged due to rumors that speak of an entire contingent of the most well-trained and armed Liberty Navy security personnel stationed on the base.
And even if someone were to attempt unveiling the secrets within Radford by force, the unfortunate souls would first have to make way past the famous Gold Wing of the Liberty Navy which supposedly operates from the station. That however is only a rumor, just the same.
Whatever really is aboard Radford and what happens there shall remain shrouded in a fog of myths and eternal silence alike.
