Former Tarawa class construction station

Despite a plethora of difficulties surrounding the construction of the Sigma-19 Gate to Okinawa, DSE has managed to complete the gate successfully. After thorough stability and stress tests the new tradelane leading from Planet Miura to the Sigma-19 gate as well as the gate itself have been completed, both were opened for public usage in a great ceremony on New Year's Eve.

Solely financed by GMG and Kishiro, the speed of construction always was subject to the available funding, and recent economic turmoils as well as multiple attacks by criminal organizations such as the Hogosha have prolonged the estimated build time vastly, as well as causing hefty additional costs. Considering that both companies expect a great revenue by shortening and securing the routes between the valuable gas fields in the Sigmas and safe Kusari space, new funds quickly could be raised to continue the project.

The small Tarawa class station deployed by Deep Space Engineering always has been intended solely as a workers' camp and supply depot, and with the end of the project it has been disassembled, with hull elements being reused for the expansion of nearby Fujisawa Mining Facility. All valuable robotic and electronic components have safely been returned to DSE central depots.
