The Sirius Sector

In the Galactic Atlas edition 817 (which does not include Gallic Core systems), the Sirius Sector - a super-cluster of stars about 500 light years away from Sol - counts 124 systems, of which 56 are property of the various House governments (not counting Outcasts and Corsairs) and 67 which are not.

Human settlement

Regions of the Sirius Sector

Shortly before losing the Great War (and the destruction of the Sol system),the Alliance launched five Sleeper Ships in a desperate attempt to escape a future under a communist Coalition regime. All of them bar the Hispania (which was sabotaged by the Coalition spies which should later form the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army) arrived intact in the Sirius system, granting humanity a new beginning in a foreign sector.

The five Sleeper Ships were:

The first four of these sleeper ships went on to form the four large Houses that are currently present with the Houses taking the names of their sleeper ships as their own.

In 817 A.S. contact was established in The Barrier with a sixth people that evaded Sol in secret on the Sleeper Ship Gallia after the departure of the five official Alliance sleeper ships. The so called Kingdom of Gallia settled far from the other Houses and has remained isolated until said year, when a path through the border minefield was opened, establishing contact with the Sirius Houses.

Guard Systems

Sirus Sector Discovery Guard Systems

The Guard Systems are systems that are under specific control of certain Player Factions. These have gained full authority over these systems and use them as staging points as well as a safe haven for their administration, ship construction and maintenance, recruitment and training facilities as well as recreational institutions. Usually these are fiercely protected by their owners and unauthorized entry of these systems is usually strictly forbidden and tightly controlled. This high level of security and confidentiality is why almost no detailed knowledge exists about these systems and the exact whereabouts and functions of the facilities inside.

See also Category:Guard Systems.
Note: The map is for 4.84. Be careful when referencing it (old version).

Geography

There are four main nebulae in the Sirius Sector: the Crow Nebula, Walker Nebula, The Barrier, and the Edge Nebula.
