Volker Koch - BDM Intelligence Officer
Volker Koch is an intelligence officer with passion. Because of his loyalty to Rheinland, he is highly regarded today.
He lives for his work, is very thoroughly and pursues his own goals which makes him unpredictable sometimes. However, he would never do anything that could hurt his vaterland.
His responsibilities include: Project management, counterespionage and the conduction of operations.
Childhood and Youth
He grew up with his four-years younger sister "Kathrin Koch" in the farm of his grandparents on Planet Stuttgart in the Pfalz region. His parents were busy with their jobs and too far away to take care of them. His father "Karl-Heinz Koch" was admiral of the Rheinwehr and constantly in use. His mother "Bettina Koch" (born "Zimmerman") was archaeologist at the museum of New Berlin. She was also constantly on expeditions.
Volker was always interested in chemistry and physics. With eight years he starts to explore pyrotechnics. By mistake he ignited one of his rockets in the equipment shed of his grandparents which went up in flames after seconds. Further experiments with Rubidium has caused the destruction of a ceramic bathtub and has left a three meter deep crater in the middle of a carrot field.
His grandparents decided to live on the country, due to the growing population density and air pollution in large cities.
Volker's parents tried to visit him on the farm as often as possible, but they did not always had the opportunity. Only on birthdays or on holidays he had contact to his parents. But mostly they have sent him a video message over the com-channel.

The Rheinwehr was his chance to a well-paid job with advancement opportunities. In this time Volker descovered his obsession for heavy plasma guns. In addition to his basic training he participates on tactical courses voluntarily. After four years he finishes his training with success. With the recommendation as tactical officer.

Personality
Volker is known as a very patient, disciplined person. Even in difficult situations, he retains a clear mind. His quiet style, to deal with things, makes him to a very sympathetic person.
He is also a friendly and helpful person.
As vegetarian, he pays attention to his health. His favorite meals include: Kohlsuppe, Krautsalat, Bananenpfannkuchen, Apfelstrudel, Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte
He likes to drink coffee and sometimes a glass of wine when he eats.
Very rarely you see him smoking a cigarette and only on special occasions.
He is a proud and glowing patriot, a passionate Rheinish nationalist and primarily interested in one thing... power.
