I have reviewed the laws of your territory and understand that you do not allow Warships of foreign alliance into your jurisdiction, However, I have been having problems with your typical local pirates, "The Liberty Rogues". Due to such, I have been robbed of my hard earned credits and cargo while attempting to deliver things such as Light Arms to the war front in the Taus, and other small supplies to Coronado. Sadly, during these times, no police force was in the area to assist me, being a transport, I lack to means to properly defend myself against threats such as bombers. So, I am here to ask you that you allow Colonial Republic Gunboat Captain to escort me during my trading runs from the Munitions Factory in New York to California. I do not wish to violate the warship law or offend you with the presence of a gunboat. If you are to allow my escort to accompany me into Libertonian territory, it can dock and disarm any of it's weapons upon request via any policing force as a sign that we mean no harm.It's current armanent is no more than a few Solaris Gatling Turrets.I hope you will consider allowing this ship passage through your territory.

I must admit to a slight level of confusion about your request. If, as you say, you've reviewed our laws then you should know that Gunboats and Gunships fall under Section 3 Article II (Small ships), while actual capital class vessels are defined under Section 3 Article IV (Warships). An exemption is therefore not required by Liberty Law.
What does concern me is that you're specifically requesting a Colonial Republic vessel be your escort. It is my understanding that the Colonial Republic needs every vessel they can obtain at the front against the Gallic forces. Unless you are affiliated with or contracted by said Colonial forces it would seem to me that their vessel could be put to better use while you hire a Bounty Hunter or other lawful Freelancer to be your escort. If you would clarify this matter for our records that would be appreciated.

It's a matter of trust sir, I can't say I would feel one hundred percent safe having someone who is bound by credits protecting me.Not to mention the need to maximize profits myself. I find comfort in a fellow Colonial vessel accompanying me rather than any unknown Freelancer or Bounty Hunter. The ship, as I said is also escorting me directly to the front with my supplies meaning that he does spend the majority of his time on the front lines. As for the laws, I must have been confused myself. I apologize for the misunderstanding.
