Name: Ayako Nishimura
Date of Birth: December 5th, 791 AS
Origin: Planet Junyo
Current Rank: Itto Kaisa, Captain of Wakkanai

Ayako was born on December 5th, 791AS to Ushio and Kenji Nishimura. Ayako lived the first 10 years of her life on Planet Junyo where her father was a fisherman. Ayako and her mother were sent to New Tokyo in 801AS so Ayako could attend school. As a child Ayako was constantly bullied for her family's status, to the point where she was admitted to an asylum following a suicide attempt in 805 AS. After being released from an asylum in 806AS, Ayako returned to school. In 810AS, she applied almost immediately to the Naval Forces, hoping duty would take her far from home. In December of 818AS, with the war with Bretonia going full force, Ayako was called back home for a promotion ceremony. She had impressed her superiors enough with her dedication to Kusari to be promoted to the rank of Ikko Kaisa. However, with the promotion, she was put on temporary leave with the change in Kusari's government. She returned in July 819 and was given command of the Wakkanai, a newly rebuilt battleship.

Name: Kouta Hashimoto
Date of Birth: March 18th, 791AS
Origin: Planet New Tokyo
Current Rank: Nito Kaisa, First Officer of Wakkanai

Kouta was born in 791AS on Planet New Tokyo to a wealthy family. Kouta's father, Hiroshi, was a manager with Samura, and was often away from home. His mother, Aya, was a lawyer and often left Kouta with their caretaker. Shortly after entering high school, Kouta fell in with a gang. He started with petty crime and vandalism before graduating to assault against his fellow students. Kouta was in trouble frequently for his actions, including driving Ayako to an asylum. After his graduation, Kouta's parents sent him into the Naval Forces, hoping military duty would fix his discipline problem. After a few months of training, Kouta nearly turned into the model pilot. Since they joined the Naval Forces at the same time and area, Kouta and Ayako were placed into the same squad. Even though they hated each other, they cooperated in battle. Because of this, Kouta was promoted to Nito Kaisa at the same time as Ayako was given command of the Wakkanai and was to serve under her as the First Officer of the ship. Following the end of the Civil War, and the reformation of the Empire, Kouta was chosen for the Naval Forces' Naval Intelligence branch where he currently serves.

Class: Kusari Battleship
Date of Complete Construction: September 21st, 741AS
Date of Reconstruction: June 15th, 819AS
Place of Construction: Yokohama Shipyard
Current Captain: Ayako Nishimura

The Wakkanai was built at Yokohama Shipyard in late 741 AS. The battleship was initially stationed in Honshu system, but after 30 years in service, it was returned to Yokohama to be mothballed. In 810 AS, repairs began on the ship's hull, which had been sitting at Yokohama. In 817, after the construction of Kure Shipyard, the Wakkanai was moved to Hiroshima to be completed. After being refit, the newly promoted Ayako Nishimura was given command of the ship. Following the construction of Fort Wakkanai, it was decided to rename the battleship to Oshita to avoid confusion.

While at Kure Shipyard, a Series 2 Jumpdrive, standard anti-capital weapons, and the KAITEN AI system were installed. The main objective for the Oshita in combat is to charge in, deal as much damage as possible, then use the jumpdrive to retreat after the biggest target is down.
