Discovery Gaming Community - Experiments that should never happen

Far from the Outcasts civil war, deep in the Omicron 85 system some of the Ghost were still doing their dark research. It was known the Ghosts of Razgriz disregard the human rights and some of their experiments are being done on innocent people, mostly prisoners from other Sirian Houses and people from the independent worlds.

One member of a research team was Itziar Leiseka. Hathor, she called herself, by the name of the goddess of fertility. The purpose of this team was to study the influence of cardamine and nomad influence on human body and find a way that leads to the next level of human evolution with the help of the nomads and their gifts.

Hathor was known for her cruelty towards the testing subjects and reckless actions. Some say she was doing it for her own pleasure, some say she was just desperately willing to achieve her goal.
It might have to do with her missing childhood and horrible experience she had towards other people. Nevertheless her behavior and actions were going too far, even for the Ghosts.

The results were a disaster, as for most test subjects the experiments were fatal, but those experiments have proven what has been already been speculated for years, but nobody dared to publish the records of them. But this also means nobody outside the Ghosts leadership is aware of it.

Project name: Effects of cardamine on healthy humans

The goal of this experiment was to find out the effects of cardamine usage of people never using cardamine before.

Age: 16-25
Health status: healthy

While the minimum usage of cardamine was causing euphoria and giving the subject the feeling strength and energy, using more amounts of cardamine caused headaches, increase of blood pressure to values above 180/120, shakes and lethargy. This status was named “ first stage of overdose”

But Hathor didn’t stop the experiment, but kept applying minimum values of cardamine to the subject. Most test subjects fell into coma after one more application after “ first state of overdose”. After this the subjects suffered from superficial blood vessel destruction and caused the picture of petechial skin hemorrhages. On some of the test subjects could be detected macrocytaire hematuria. This status was named “ second state of overdose”.
While the first state of overdose was spontaneous reversible, the second stage of oversode needed intensive treatment.

The experiment kept going. To subjects already being in coma was applied another minimum dose of cardamine. The subjects were immediately shaking, blood pressure went sky high followed in some minutes by heart failure and irreversible heart stop. The death came since the first application of cardamine in 4 hours.

Result: unexperienced cardamine users are highly wounderable to cardamine of above ussual doses. The state of increased physical and psychical energy cannot be upheld for more than one hour and another application of cardamine leads ot cardamine oversode, to first state of overdose.

These results are leading us to examine the cardamine application intervals of healthy subjects in order to achieve a state of full energy without any side effects to the subject.

Project name: Achieve prolonged positive cardamine effect on non-cardamine users

Size: 10 persons
Gender: 8 males 2 females
Age: 17-25
Health status: healthy

Goal of the experiment: The goal is to achieve positive constant cardamine effects as state of full energy and strength to individuals without having any experience with cardamine. A side goal of the project is to confirm the safe time between cardamine doses.

Test subjects were put into three cells. Cell one and cell two has four males each, cell three has 2 females. We start the application of cardamine to the test subjects in cell one. The subjects show positive cardamine effects and are escorted to a bigger room with both psychical and physical simulation opportunities. The subjects are having regular food and drink income.

We apply another (2nd) dose of cardamine to two of the test subjects after the positive effects ceased (that means in one hour). The test subjects show lesser “ First stage of overdose”. In the clinical picture we detect increased BP of subject 1 140/100 and subject 2 150/105 and both having headache, but without lethargy and shakes. After another one hour BP slowly drops, but headache remains. We apply another (3rd) dose of cardamine. After 10 minutes of positive cardamine effect, both subjects fell into light coma and show symptoms of the “ Second stage of overdose” . The test subjects were left without any treatment and their status spontaneously got better and after four hours their woke up from the light coma. After this their blood biochemstry was all messed up and they were in need of glucose and other artificial energy boosters. Instead we would apply those, we apply another (4th) dose of cardamine after they woken up. The already weakened test subject kidneys are failing with the high BP and heart beat. In 30 minutes after the last dose subject 2 dies after all life saving measures. Subject 1 dies in one hour since the last cardamine dose.

Result: First three doses of cardamine on non cardamine users were applied every one hour, causing same side effects as with continuesly appplication. Time between doses one hour and so to achieve constant positive cardamine effect has failed.

Remaining test subject 3 and 4 are given the next (2nd) dose of cardamine in 4 hours. After the first dose they show positive cardamine effects that cease in about one hour. The test subjects are without positive cardamine effects for three hours experiencing light headache. After the application of the second dose they again show positive cardamine effect. But we observed its lesser effect on the test subjects in its length and its positive effects. The test subjects are showing tiredness and the need of sleep after the cardamine effects disappear.
We constantly woken up the test subjects forcing them to do physical work. Before the third dose of cardamine the test subjects are showing weakness and the need of rest. The third dose of cardamine caused the high increase of BP for both subjects about 180/120 without any positive cardamine effects. The test subjects were forced to keep going with the physical work. Against our expectations the test subjects kept going without falling into the coma. This shows us a new positive effect of cardamine, the increase of the subject stamina.
After another four hours we apply the fourth dose of cardamine. In five minutes the test subjects started to shake, BP goes very high and within the next 10 minutes they fell into coma. We leave the test subjects without any treatment and the light coma gets into deep coma. In the next four hours the test subjects do not show any signs of recovery. We apply the fifth dose of cardamine. Within the next 20 minutes both test subjects exited.

Result: Continual application of cardamine every four hours to non cardamine users shows positive effects first, but after the third dose the health status is getting worse. In the time of the first three doses the test subjects show firstly positive cardamine effects ( energy and strength), then the only positive effect reduces to only higher stamina than in the status without cardamine.

We continue with our experiment with cell 2 with 4 males. We apply the first dose of cardamine. Suprisingly enough one of the test subject started to have the hypersensitive reaction type I. after 5 minutes. This is the first time we detected an alergic reaction to cardamine. We observe the typical symptoms of anaphylaxis on the test subject starting with itchiness followed by shortness of breath, swelling and abdominal pain with low blood pressure. We kept the test subject without any treatment and did not apply adrenaline or antihistaminics. The test subject exited in the next 30 minutes most likely on respiratory failure by caused by asphyxia. The other three test subjects do not show any allergic reaction towards the cardmine.

The positive cadamine effects are again tested in various simulations and include feeling of more energy, power and strength and the decrease of reaction time. The positive cardamine effect disappears after about one hour. The test subjects are having light headache in the time after it. We apply another dose of cardamine in 8 hours. The test subjects show only positive cardamine effect without any side effects. After another 8 hours we apply another(3rd) dose of cardamine. The test subjects again show only positive cardamine effects, but their reaction time has slightly increased, but it’s still better than without cardamine. We did not let the test subject to sleep and we did not allow them any rest either. The tired test subjects were applied another (4th) dose of cardamine and they are starting to show symptoms of the first stage of overdose. The cardamine effects still help them to resist the tiredness, but not that effective and long lasting as for rested individuals. In the next 8 hours we apply the fifth dose of cardamine. The symptoms of first stage of overdose remains, the test subjects do not fall into coma yet. But after the sixth dose of cardamine the test subjects fell into coma. In 40 hours we applied 6th dose of cardamine, preventing the test subjects to rest and forced them to perform both physical and psychical work. One test subject status became critical and didn’t wake up from the coma, the other two have woken up after approximately 5 hours. All three test subjects were applied another seventh dose of cardamine. The test subject already in critical status exited within the next two hours, the other two fell again into coma and were left without any treatment. Both exited in 6 hours before the application of the next dose. The death reason was multiorgan failure

Result: Regular application of cardamine in relative short period is not tolerated by non cardamine users. The results show that cardamine is tolerated better than in the previous case, but its regular usage in short periods is still deadly. We will perform the next experiment with the application of cardamine in longer periods.

We continue with the project regardless the losses; the goal was not yet achieved. There are only two last test subjects left:

Test Subject 1: 17 year old female
Status: healthy, virgin, no cardamine experience

Test subject 2: 25 year old female
Status: healthy, one interruption, no cardamine experience

Our goal is to achieve regular cardamine usage every 12 hours without life endangering side effects and observe the change of physical and psychical status of the test subjects preventing them from sleeping.
We start the experiment with the application of the first dose of cardamine. We observe positive cardamine effects, which last for approximately 20 minutes longer than for men. After the effects disappeared the test subjects complained about light headache. The time between the applications of next doses was used for both psychical and physical work. The test subjects were regularly feed and given water.
We apply the next (2nd) dose of cardamine. We observe positive cardamine effects without any side effects or tiredness of the test subjects. For the whole time they were prevented from sleep or any rest. Before the application of the next (3rd) dose of cardamine we already notice tiredness of the test subjects. Nevertheless we apply the next dose and observe the reaction. We do not detect any side effects, only noticing positive cardamine effects. We continue with the application of the fifth and the sixth dose.
After the sixth dose of cardamine and the lack of sleep test subject 1 is starting feel uncomfortable. We observe the increase of BP without dizziness, shakes or other symptoms characteristic for the first stage of cardamine overdose.
We apply the seventh dose of cardamine. Test subject 1 is increasingly getting aggressive towards the personnel and towards the other subject. She has to be tied to the bed. Test subject didn’t stop yelling until her vocal cords are destroyed. While we tried to examine her the test subject 2 attacks one of the personnel and bites him in the neck hitting the a. carotis communis. Test subject 2 was neutralized with a shock gun and tied to the bed as well.

….It was a horrible sight. One of the women attacks the soldier from behind, biting him in the neck. It happened so fast, the blood started to splash, but the woman kept biting and biting him. The other guards pushed her away and shocked her until she became unconscious.

…Hathor was with us too, I quickly walked to the colleague, but she stopped me while she was looking at him how she tries to stop the bleeding with his hand and with the other waving towards us, calling us to help him. I could notice the smile on her face, while the others were just staring what just happened. The man was slowly dying in the most horrible way, after he closed his eyes and his head fell deadly on the floor she came to him stoke his cheek stood up and moved to the door.

….continue…she said and walked out the room.

We apply another (8th) dose of cardamine to both test subjects, now both tied to a bed. Test subject’s 1 has rapidly increased its BP, we observe inner bleedings for unknown reasons. Before the ninth application test subject 1 died.

After this, we allow test subject 2 to sleep. In the upcoming days she will be applied cardamine every 12 hours.

Result: Cardmine effect on women is longer lasting than by men. The application every 12 hours seems to be a borderline, because test subject 1 didn't tolerate the application of cardmine doses every 12 hours and the test subject 2 tolerated it way more. There are way too many questions open as both test subjects were physically different. We will perform multiple tests of test subject 2 while applying cardamine every 12 hours.

Estefania Casta is not responding on my calls. I’ve been hearing rumors she is not in omicron 85 anymore, but nobody really knows where she might be…

This is making me to continue my experiments on my own, without the knowledge and approval of the Ghosts leadership. This might lead to problems as my projects are already on the border of acceptance.

For this, I will need more test subjects, but not only “regular” people, but outcasts. The civil war is making this easier than it would be otherwise. I will have to be careful though as such action might interfere with the peace talks going on right now.

Hathor disappeared without a word for some days. We do not know what we should do with the remaining prisoner or what to do at all. In the meantime we tried to take care of the girl, giving her food and refreshments so she doesn’t have to suffer that much.

One day Hathor came back, along with some Ghosts, two of them injured and taken into the operating room and one in a bag. We feared the worst when we saw this picture. Hathor and three other Ghosts were wearing space suits with heavy armor what are used for boarding other ships. Their armors were damaged, partially covered by already dried blood…

Hathor came to me and said: “Get to my ship, we shall continue with our experiments”. She gave me her tablet with access codes. When I look at her hands, they were covered by blood. I looked at her face and she pushed the tablet into my hands and continued to her quarters.

I came to the ship and released the cargo. It was a terrible sight as the cargo were people. The living were lying along with the dead. Some colleagues came to help me out and we “sorted” the living from the dead.

I am afraid what we are going to do…

The whole night we could hear screams going from the prisoner quarters, but nobody dared to see what exactly its going on there. Many of us do not approve of the latest actions, but none of us dare to ask any questions.

We are afraid Hathor had crossed all borders and that she is planning something that could affect the lives not only of the prisoners but ours too.

I woke up….

Shakes, quakes and loud noises woke me up.

When I came out of my quarters a group of ten Hathors bodyguards are walking through the floor to the exit that was now covered in a tight cloud.

I look the other way and saw Hathor leaving the prisoner quarters screaming words towards me I couldn't even understand in that noise. I never saw her like that, something has to be going on...

I looked into the room she left
