Captain Kelly, Captain

Brian Kelly is a relatively unknown Zoner captain within the Freeport defense division. He was stationed at Freeport 11 for eight years as a defense fighter pilot before he earned the rank of Lieutenant-Commander for heroically engaging a Nomad battleship assault force single-handedly. Naturally his ship lasted under five minutes but in that time he managed to shoot off the battleship's thruster and take down two of the smaller fighter craft before falling victim to a torpedo. His pod was left floating around in the battlefield as the rest of the defense force mobilized and brought down the rest of the ships. He was awarded the rank as a reward for his bravery and vigilant service during the eight years he was there.

Upon achieving this rank he was assigned to the defense of Freeport 2 as the captain of the “Vigilant”. During his six years of service at that station he was awarded several medals for bravery and fantastic responses to attacks. In the end he was promoted to the rank of captain at the early age of 38. He was commissioned his very own Zoner destroyer which he named “The Wandering Star” and given the choice of what to do, his service to the Freeport defense unit being fulfilled. Having the option to do as he pleased he began arming and equipping for a journey throughout known Sirius and even into the unknown from time to time.

Commander Bellamy, First Officer

Nathan Bellamy has served with Captain Kelly for 14 years so far and has become greatly attached to him. No matter where Kelly went he would always request the services of Bellamy as his first officer, whether it be on board the “Vigilant” at Freeport 2 or as his wingman at Freeport 9. Bellamy is the one man that Kelly would trust with his life, the one man he has done.

Aside from being great friends with Kelly, Bellamy is a walking achievement unto himself. He has gained more transfer requests and honors than any other Commander his age, more than any officer his age in fact. His service record is immaculate and now, at the age of 36, he is contented with being the first officer aboard the Wandering Star.

Doctor Mobley, Second Officer, Medical Officer

Laura Mobley is another of the aptly named 'Kelly crew'. She has served with Kelly for less than Commander Bellamy, but long enough. They have been together for nearly 10 years and have formed a relationship so close they know each other better than they know themselves.

She is the chief medical officer aboard the “Wandering Star” and commands a team of four junior doctors. As with Bellamy, she was requested to be transferred to the “Wandering Star” by Kelly. The moment she set foot aboard the ship she was given the position of second officer by Kelly.

Lieutenant-Commander Shelton, Navigational Officer

Joseph Shelton is a somewhat new officer aboard the “Wandering Star”. His service record includes that of the “Crazy Hermit” and “Invictus”. He is currently serving as the Navigational Officer aboard the ship and is determined to prove his worth and gain a promotion to the rank of Commander whilst serving. His ultimate goal is to achieve the rank of Captain by the time he is 50. He wants to command a Zoner Juggernaut in defense of Freeport 11.

Lieutenant Maddin, Tactical Officer

Frank Maddin is the final officer in the 'Kelly crew' chosen by the Captain himself to serve aboard the ”Wandering Star” with him. He served aboard the ”Imperiosus” at Freeport 11 and was at the very same battle where Kelly achieved his promotion. Aboard the station they were close friends and when he feared Kelly to be dead, Maddin turned all his Juggernaut's guns upon the Nomad battleship and didn't let up until it was in pieces flying around space.

Maddin is an expert at predicting enemy movement patterns and reactions to certain situations and is invaluable in an aggressive standoff. He has the unique ability to calculate the situation at hand and give a full set of options filling every contingent possible.

Lieutenant Fern, Chief Engineer

Christine Fern is one of the best engineers the Zoner military has to offer. Her expertise lies in rapid repair of damaged craft. She once set a personal record of repairing an Eagle aboard Freeport 11 that had taken so much damage it's hull integrity was only just wavering above .5%. She managed to repair the entire craft and get it into space again within two days. Truly, a miraculous feat.

She was requested by Kelly not because they have served together before but because of her service record. At the age of thirty two she is one of the best engineers of her age out there. Beaten only by Mark Frasier aboard the ”Invictus”. She holds the place of chief engineer aboard the ”Wandering Star” and has proven her worth already.

Lieutenant Mitchell, Science Officer

Adam Mitchell is an up-and-coming officer in the Zoner military. Not possessing any official medals of service or honors, he is one of the most puzzling choices of crew aboard the ”Wandering Star”. However, he comes highly recommended by Lieutenant Maddin as Mitchell was his Science Officer aboard the ”Imperiosus” at Freeport 11 and managed to successfully identify multiple Nomad hostiles from distances of over twenty kilometers using the latest in scanning technology.

He has also identified and logged the existence of multiple types of Nomad fighter craft and their capabilities, a true help in the defense of the Freeports. While this may have been previously known information by organizations such as the Order, it has proven invaluable to the Zoner Freeport defense division.

Lieutenant Michaels, Chief of Security

Richard Michaels is the newest addition to the ”Wandering Star” senior staff. Picked up on Deshima Station, he proved his usefulness as a stray blaster shot was fired towards Ensign Ikari. Michaels' reaction was incredibly as he shoved Ikari out of the way of the fire and managed to shoot the weapon out of the criminal's hands. The Blood Dragon was later arrested and charged, also being linked to a number of other offenses. Realizing his own chief of security wouldn't have been able to do that, Kelly began talks with Michaels to join him aboard the ”Wandering Star” and after some deliberation, he agreed.

Lieutenant Solomon, Chief Communication Officer

Henry Solomon was picked up on Planet Denver by Captain Kelly. He studied at the University of Manhattan and then trained at West Point Military Academy, finally entering the Liberty Navy at the rank of Lieutenant. He is a very young officer at only twenty six and has little experience in the field but his expertise in communication and translation is second to none that Kelly has encountered. Therefore he was appointed chief of communications aboard the Wandering Star.
