DISCLAIMER: This entire concept was dreamed up by Papa Oomaumau on a different server. I am not the author, but I have enjoyed this style of RP in the past. So I'm bringing the idea here.

We dare not presume to know, or hear, even guess Gaia's will, voice, or intent.
We are not insane enough to pretend that Gaia 'speaks to us', no.
Too many mad fools have done this and failed miserably.

We can, however, see that you are killing Her!
You scrape away at the flesh of God in your mining vessels, for short-sighted personal profit!
You litter Her most sacred and intimate places with your hastily discarded trash!
Gaia, our mother, gives to us out of Her love, all we need, in natural forms, yet you heathens squander Her gifts to you!
You push the natural away as if it were poison, and grasp selfishly for her actual flesh and bone like impudent children!
You twist Her very substance and mold it to do your bidding in a perversion of nature.

We are Her antibodies, Her doctors, and we have the Antidote to your greed.
No longer will miners toil in the dark places unharassed.
No longer will scrap fields gum up the cellular structure of Gaia herself.

The ONLY type of mining we will allow, and in fact defend, is Scrap mining.
You: Junkers, ALG, independent scrappers, you do Gaia's work by cleaning up the carcinogens of Man's impugnity.

Recruitment:

I will be welcoming any members of Disco who would like to join me in this madness!

Our tag will be Dr.
We are Gaia's personal physicians.

We will remain unofficial, until such time as our numbers swell to change that.

Roleplay:

Our RP will be to harass miners and haulers of ore, force them to empty their holds, destroy their ores, and leave the fields they are mining.

We will hunt mining groups with hit-and-run tactics while taking out their escorts, but our primary duty is to put an end to ALL mining.
(obviously a silly proposal, but we can TRY, right?)

We do not fight military battles, and in the face of House Navies and police, we will fade into the skies as if we were never there.

We are Terrorists using the Gaian Terrorist ID, so we are not restricted to piracy, although we certainly can.

We will not pirate Ore miners and traders, that is not our intent....with THEM.
However, our money will be earned by pirating non-ore traders and of course you can transfer in money from outside sources.

Our Gaian engineers have given us two ships that belong only to us-- the Claymore Gunboat and the Chameleon Heavy Fighter.
These are awesome ships, both beautiful and deadly, but lack of capital ships will force our tactics to be hit-and-run, and should provide lots of good chases from heavier armed factions.

For now, I'd like to stay focused on the use of ONLY these two ships for this faction (but this is open to discussion and change).

Allies n' Enemies:

We are friendly to Corsairs and Hogosha and the Farmer's Alliance, so we will have places to dock throughout Sirius. We choose to be friendly with Junkers and ALG, as well (assuming they haul no ore).

We share commonalities with the LWB as well, so can at least give them a pass on the rare occasion that we should meet.

Everyone else is to be considered an enemy of Gaia, and treated as such.
Kill 'em all!

(But remember, we are Doctors, our intent is the surgical removal of all miners FIRST.)

Intent:

My intent here is to cause a bit more cooperation between miners and other factions, and make earning money just as much 'fun' as anything else.
There should be lots of PvP from this venture, but I'd like to focus much of what we do around Roleplay.
So, come have fun helping miners do more than shoot rocks!

It needs a bit of spit and polish, but the concept is sound, and personally I liked the writeup.

We need more niche factions, and this seems like a great one.

I like this idea entirely. I might even join if this becomes a real thing. This style of RP.. really clings to you. Like, you understand their thought process regardless if you like it or not. I'm a fan. Maybe this will help make Gallia active.

ZoI map needs some updates for 4.87 - namely, Newcastle being connected to New London now. Also, it spells Magellan wrong.

I would also recommend the inclusion of at least one bomber. Having attempted piracy recently in a heavy fighter... it doesn't work well. Gaians have a history of using the CTE line, so the Roc's open - or you could chat with AFA about a Mamoru, if you'd rather have a faction-affiliated ship.

However, your heavy fighters should work very well for harassing full-mining Hegemons, as well as Arrastras.

I've never seen the Gaians as being an anti-mining group, but it does still fit with the whole "preserving the natural state of Sirius" bit. A new expansion of their goals may be what they need to kick up some activity.

I look forward to seeing you in action. Even though/because approximately 90% of my characters past and present would want you dead.

My most esteemed Dr.Magics, The New Gaian Front doesn't really "recruit," so to speak. The crazed passion of the Goddess simply drives young visionaries to join our ranks.

Since the NGF is primarily a terrorist group, not pirates, we measure success in different ways. Harassing miners will do just fine.

Doing it stylishly is even better.

Occasionally we could pirate a transport here or there, but solo piracy isn't the main focus. When Gaian pilots work in groups or in tandem, though, their ships are very effective. That being said, I'm not totally against a Doctor flying a Roc.

I just don't want the NGF to focus on having the advantage-- tech, tactical or otherwise. We are the underdogs and miners, transports and their escorts should not be unduly intimidated by us. Part of our role is to die for our lunatic ideals should a miner prove too much for us to deal with in our Chammy. That's fine.

Sometimes we have to make foolish choices for the good of Gaia (and in the meantime, our RP should spice up the monotony here and there).

The Coalition has always been sympathetic to the plight of the Gaians, however they can't be seen by the Mollys actively helping them so they simply don't shoot at Gaians and provided support on the sly during the old reign of NLH (Nature's Last Hope). XD It'll be interesting to see what direction this faction will take that, if they burn it or keep accepting the covert aid. (smoke)

Honestly, to me a wing of bombers seems more appropriate than a number of Claymores - maximum damage, (relatively) minimum price. But I can respect your decision, you want to create a specific image for your group.

If you do get some bombers, I'd be more inclined to go for a Mamoru than a Roc, purely to stir up some FA/Gaian RP - both factions could certainly use it right now. The 75% technerf is a bit painful, but perhaps you'll be more comfortable with them that way anyway.
