Background: With Gateway's new rise in power (at some expense), they are looking to improve their Public Relations with the Bretonian people without being seen as a "lackey" of the Bretonian Government such as Bowex.
As a means to further their image with the Crown and citizens as a corporation with Bretonia's best interests at heart, Gateway has decided to launch a massive supply & refugee extraction mission for the resistance on planet Leeds named Operation: Christma$ Miracle.
The idea is to get the good men and women fighting against the Gauls the supplies they need to continue fighting, and help get Casualties and Refugees off-planet to safer locations. Of course...it never hurts that there's considerable profit to be made in doing so, as well.
Mission Parameters: Gateway vessels will rendez-vous at pre-determined locations to pick up Supplies that are bound for Planet Leeds. Ship-types for Mission are recommended as follows:
4-6 Freighters
2-3 Transports (preferably smaller thank 5K)
1-2 GB escorts
4+ Bomber/Fighter escorts
Once the ships reach Planet Leeds, the freighters will dock and sell their supplies, then begin ferrying supplies off of the transports, while bringing back Refugees/Casualties to put back on the transports. Once transports have been emptied of supplies and filled with Refugees/Casualties, the convoy will slip out of the system.
During all of this, the escorts will need to be vigilant to protect the transports and freighters from enemy attacks.
Who may participate: Gateway| retains control of the mission, but independent Gateway players are welcome to join in the convoy, along with any allies or hired escorts they wish to bring.
Enemy forces are welcome to show up as they wish. What happens on their end will determine whether this mission is a milk-run or a true miracle.
All profits made by selling goods to the planet will be split between the freighters and transports, depending on what is successfully delivered. Escorts will be given bonuses based on the mission success and on any enemy players destroyed while defending the operation.
