Leeds Looters

ID: Pirate ID
IFF: Pirate
Base of Operations: Trafalgar (until a station is built by the Looters)

History of the Looters -> Present

The day that the Gallic War Machine landed on Planet Leeds, the people took up any tools they could find to defend themselves from the onslaught that would be sure to engulf them. Bretonian Marines did their best but they were utterly unprepared for what the Gallic had in store for them, ‘Obstinate’ Cruisers in orbit with leeds targeted the military bases, wiping them off of the face of the planet.

The people of Leeds were picked up from spaceports which were defended heavily, escorted liners and Merchant Navy vessels took the people to Planet Sprague and Cambridge. The sudden demand of new homes for the people was a problem, only a certain amount of people could get homes. The Bretonian Government explained that they would get homes soon enough. This wasn’t going to happen, they lied and the money was put towards the hopeless war effort. The angered homeless people started talking to each other about their lives back on Leeds. They wanted that life back understandably.

Kyle Adams was the first to suggest stealing a few fighters and flying to Trafalgar station. He gathered around 14 people to help him and they ended up stealing a Percheron and a Clydesdale. They were able to fit in another 31 people, 45 in total. They all travelled hastily to Trafalgar to be out of the Authorities’ reach. The three key people in the forming group were Kyle Adams, Richard Miller and George Cole. They sat in the Trafalgar bar discussing their plan of action.

The three young men decided that they would use Trafalgar as their temporary base of operations and that they would pirate Bretonian Corporations to buy better ships and equipment to amass their small rebel army. After a few months of pirating and gathering followers and members, a nickname for the rebels was given. The Leeds Looters, however the three leaders didn’t agree on this as their official name. The Leeds Looters were re-named to The Workers of Leeds Revolutionary Army. The name Leeds Looters stuck, however the official name will always be used in formal situations.

Now the Leeds Looters have become recognised as the cause of increased piracy in New London and Cambridge. During the struggle two of the three initial leaders were captured by the Police Authority. The remaining leader, now the official leader is George Cole. The groups ambitions are to demand money from the Armed Forces and Police, pirate Bretonian Corporations and demand money from any Royal Navy pilots they come across. Talk of building their own station is a possibility for the future if more support from the people and from other unlawful factions occurs.

Diplomacy

Equipment and Ships

The Leeds Looters will have access to all civilian ships and equipment. However we recommend these ships:

Interceptors (Light Fighters):
Arrow

Fighters:
Ravens Talon
Eagle

Bombers:

Roc
Waran

Gunboats:
Condor
Montante

Zone of Influence

The Looters will be based in Bretonia, all of the Bretonian systems are in the Looter's ZoI. To add to that they are allowed into Leeds and Edinburgh. Finally they are allowed into the Omegas but only up to Omega 7. The only reason you will see a Looter outside of this ZoI is either because they are chasing an escaping 'victim' or they are buying a ship etc.

Tactics

The Looters adopt the guerilla style warfare. Rarely will you see amassed Looters plainly because of the small army they have to carry out their deeds. If a lawful does find a Looter pirating then they will fight till the end and hope they survive the explosion of their shuttle. As more supporters help the Looters then they will field more Looters in the battlefield.

Naming Convention

Snubcraft:
Looters|Firstname.Surname

Transports:
Looters|LT-Shipname

Capital Vessels:
Looters|LC-Shipname

The names for the transports and capital vessels will be like this:
Looters|LT-Homeless.Busker
Looters|LC-Pickpocket

I don't think there is really a word to describe it but I suppose that gives a rough idea.

Ranking

The High Command Ranks:

The Boss - Self explanatory, the man at the top

Heist Plotter - The most trusted members of the Looters, they assist The Boss in decision making

Plunderer - At the bottom of the HC, the Plunderers lead the Looters into battle and pirating raids.

Core Ranks:

Looter - Competent and trusted Looters

Pickpocket - Recruits that have proven themselves worthy

Mugger - The first rank given to new recruits

Recruitment

To join the Looters you need to tune into this frequency and answer some questions before you are deemed an official Looter.
Feel free to post feedback here.
I think it is kind of interesting... I do have a question. Your name is "The Workers of Leeds Revolutionary Army" It may just be me, but that sounds Really Commie Tongue. So Just wondering why you have SCRA As Hostile? I mean they are friendly with the Mollys so it seems strange you want a revolution of some sort but are hostile to the Big Revolutionists in Sirius?

On a side note:
This could be "hostile until first contact" Which wouldn't mean totally attacking and actively hunting them out of Bretonia. It would be being very Careful around them.

Just my 2 cents.

Edit: Either way though it looks Awesome and I look forward to meeting you guys in game (Also there is no Pirate IFF Sadly :\)
Looks good! Mollys will be interested in meeting you in space and seeing what to make of it.

But, I do have one red flag. You pirate Bretonian corps/government. You are friendly with Mollys and Neutral with Junkers. Yet one of your goals is to take over Inverness? Inverness for one isn't considered Bretonian house space. It is well known to be controlled by Junkers, and Mollys have a presence there in the form of colonies on one of the planets. So unless you want to be at war with the Junkers, and piss off the Mollys, might want to re-think that one to be quite honest.

But, I'm open to explanation/thought process behind this.

Hello Big Grin, So the revolution thingy. They are more revolutionists in Bretonia and don't agree with the views that the SCRA have, now you've pointed this out I'll likely change them to unfriendly just on the basis that they have different views and are cautious of them.

No pirate IFF!? Sad That's a Cashew moment right there, thanks for pointing it out Wink
Time for a cliché.

It sounds like you're looking to become official (with talk of 'Building a station' and all). Why not, instead of creating yet another faction in a world where we already have three times more factions than the population can reasonably support, try and revive some other faction like the [M]ollys or the Gaians?

There have been attempts at reviving the Gaians, infact I was part of the faction. The problem was with the Gaians is that they just don't 'fit' if you know what I mean. The Mollies are already a faction and I don't like walking in and taking control of Official factions, seems a bit rude... :/

Not entirely sure what you mean. One big problem I can see is the lack of a(n active) Planetform faction, but other than that, I think you can pull it off.

The Circle) was pretty cool when I interacted with it a year or so ago.

As for the [M]ollys, you don't necessary have to lead a faction to bring life back to it. A faction is only as active as its members after all.

Okay thanks Big Grin, I'll be needing a few experienced players to help me out if you feel you can help? (Advertising over)

^ This. A thousand times this.

Also, the Pirate ID is fairly limited as far as destroying GRN/BAF assets go. You can't actually engage them. You can only pirate, and fight in self defense/defense of an ally. They can literally follow you around spouting off your position to traders in system chat, without firing a shot, and you couldn't do anything unless you make a demand of them and they refuse. So it's a little clumsy as far as that goes.
