Garrett Jax tapped ferverishly on the touch screen monitor which controlled ship production. His mind raced as he considered various ways to soup up his Thor Bomber. Some improvements were quick and easy, such as the infinite power core. Others, were far more delicate. He had to be careful. If the ship became too strong, he would wind up creating his own personal ion storm.
He pressed a couple buttons on the screen and immediately mechanical arms in the production facility in front of him began installing two Supernova Antimatter Cannons in the torpedo slots. Once they finished the installation, a large green box lit up the monitor asking if he wished to test the freshly installed weapons. Garrett pressed the button. The monitor instantly displayed a simulation of the ship in a virtual reality of Sirius, docked at a representation of the Temple. If the ship undocked without crashing the simulation, then the installation would work. If not, then he would have to scale down the power.
Garrett pressed the button commanding the ship to undock. It began the launch sequence and...success.
Pleased with himself, Garrett ended the simulation and returned back to production. He wondered if placing SNAC's on the four weapon hard points would be too much. That would give him six SNAC's in total. He pressed four buttons and four SNACS were installed in place of the guns. He started up the simulation once the green box displayed and quickly undocked.
Again, success.
Encouraged by this, he decided to go for another SNAC on the turret slot. He tested and that too was successful. That made seven in total. This was going to be a major cap killer, Garrett thought.
Just for kicks, he decided to place SNACS on all eight of the light hard points. 15 SNACS would surely crash the simulation. However, he decided to test it out just for fun. He undocked his ship and waited for the inevitable...nothing. The ship floated in space awaiting instructions.
No way!
Garrett flew the ship around, looking for a target to test his weapons upon. A simulated ship quickly appeared directly in front of him. He fired all 15 SNACS at the ship. They impacted with blinding ferocity. Garrett found himself turning his eyes away from the brightness.
Yes! It worked. He ended the simulation and made one more little change. There just so happened to be 15 different color SNACS available to him. He changed out the originals for one of each color. A rainbow of death and destruction.
I need some mortals to test this ship out for real, he said aloud. But whom?
If all else fails, just ask. He grabbed his personal tablet and typed out a message to all official factions.
To all interested official factions,
I have developed a prototype Thor bomber that needs to have its weapons fully tested. Simulations have proven successful, but I would feel more comfortable with real world testing.
Therefore, I am willing to loan this prototype ship out for one week. All qualified factions may apply and I will select one from among the list.
There are restrictions in the use of this ship.
1. Do not attack POB's.
2. Do not remove equipment.
3. You may allow TRUSTED faction members only to fly it.
4. The ship will act in accordance with your faction ID restrictions.
If you are interested in helping me to test this ship, as well as wreck havoc upon your enemies, then apply here. If you are not the first to be chosen, then worry not. I may require future testing and will draw upon the names here.
Respectfully,
Garrett Jax
