Background

Synth Foods, Incorporated is a privately-owned corporation conducting its operations throughout all of Sirius. Primarily tasked with the production of foodstuffs, they are also responsible for shiping their products throughout the many inhabited worlds.

Synth Foods, Incorporated is well known for their revolutionary BioDome™ technology. These facilities have been installed on hundreds of stations throughout the sector. Synth Foods’ paste and gel products, available in numerous flavors, are unparalleled in cost effectiveness, product quality, and costumer satisfaction.

a) Restricting trading ships by cargospace is kinda weird, especially given that all current members are HC. This will give huge disadvantage to new members.
b) Adding hessians to sworn enemies of Synth Foods alongside with FA/LWB just because we sieged your base is kinda weird. I suggest bumping to hostile, but that's up to you.
So... were supposed to cuddle after you shot the base then?
Leik...

All current members are -not- HC, dunno where you got that notion. (only HC are listed, though, so if that's where you got that, npnp) And every member so far has been fine with the restrictions - as some other trade corporations use them, and they seem to work alright. But hey, I'm up for doing what's best for the faction, so we'll see what works best.

That's my fault. I bumped it down one-too-far on accident.
Not bad.

Ah, misunderstood than. Other than that - good luck.

Well, in practice, people are made for deliveries, not the quantity of delivery (obviously, people trading outside of deliveries make less money, but having ranks makes you want to work for that next level, and earn your 5k-er). So far, everyone in has said they like the ranking system, and I did just edit the ranks slightly to make it a little easier to climb the ranks of Logistics, but, we'll see how it goes.

(08-22-2014, 09:12 PM)Snak3 Wrote: [ -> ]I wanted to create Synth faction myself a few back, however the lack or properly inRP trade routes kept me away and I transitioned to Ageira instead. So I hope you managed to scrap some nice and fitting routes for Synth players to complement the interesting RP possibilities.

Yeah, it's been pretty good so far. The Paste and Gel route, or Paste to Java and Beryllium back is pretty profitable as well, surprisingly.

(08-22-2014, 09:12 PM)Snak3 Wrote: [ -> ]Also, another observation, I believe there are too many ranks. Trading faction doesn't really need that many different ranks. I'd rather see same dedication and effort put into expandign the faction writeup on lore and similar stuff, instead of ranks that rarely mean anything to the other players.

Addressed earlier, mostly. As for the writeup / lore, it's in the works still - I'd rather have it complete, solid, and matching all ingame lore than posting a WIP document. There's a smaller, synposis-form history on our wiki page.

(08-22-2014, 09:12 PM)Snak3 Wrote: [ -> ]Lastly, I already gave feedback on the board and how it isn't hunter-friendly, so I do hope that you might somehow make it more accessible and user-friendly.

This has sort of been addressed, but still needs to be worked out a bit better. I've cut out a lot of the systems in the zones, making it slightly more streamlined, but I'm looking into combining zones into two or three primary ones to better streamline the process, as well as perhaps simplifying the multipliers.

Thanks! And, we'll see about that. Big Grin

Though I had more fun selling food on the spot. And shooting pirates down in my Stork. That was delicious too.

Ah. Well, you still can. Paste <-> Gel is actually pretty good. But we've also sold samples to passing traders, too! And there's more RP that we're planning on doing, we just got set back a bit since Soylent Green went big asplode-y splode.
