A short scouting mission has been performed, transmitting the according data.
-----------------

Departed from [REDACTED]. On approach to Shinagawa, I see a red contact, which I identified as a Junker, callsign [JU]-Jhon, accompanying a GMG vessel, denomination Hornet-02. As they moved to Honshu, I began shadowing them.

[GMG vessel] [Junker vessel]

They passed Osaka station, and began evasive maneuvers, heading to the nebula to hide their trail. I approached them once, and was unimpressed with their cargo, to say the least.

Osaka [Junker Cargo] [GMG Cargo]

The chase continued, maintaining radio communications to the minimum. I already knew who they were, need to know where and what are they heading to.
The Junker gunship was heavily damaged. Although the shields concealed most of the damage from view, I could confirm structural damage comparable to that made by Kusari Navy heavy weaponry.

Cloud Chase

Lost contact with the Junker at Aomori, the GMG headed to Planet Honshu, and then to Okinawa. Guess the Junker has taken another path, if they didn't parted ways already.

--------------

Headed to Galileo, for there was intel of activity pertinent to operation Sunrise. I arrived at the System, but targets of opportunity had long left the area.

Secondary objectives were established, and headed to Kepler.

First, I headed to a specified location where a base with designation Blackport66, mentioned is several reports by Navy and police forces.

The situation has evolved, and the base, while retaining it's locked but non hostile configuration, has been expanded, bearing now more than a pair of external weapon wlatforms
This changes will make difficult standard action regarding the base.

-------------------------

Arrived at Ames Research station, retrieved several files and programs collected by our forward operatives in Liberty. Without violating their classified seals, I set forth to deliver them to [Redacted] in [Redacted] system.

On my way there, spotted one Bowex ship, designation Bowex)Daniel.Defoe, committing an infraction on article 3-1-5 of the Kusari space law.

[Bretonian Cargo inspection] ,2

While it's not part of our mission procedures, the bretonian was warned and reprimanded without extra charges. By his own initiative, a monetary transfer was made. Money has been wired according to operational procedures.

[Bowex] [Bowex 2]

Files were successfully delivered at the destination. Home operator has confirmed their reception.

This concludes my report.

A reconnaissance mission to the Bretonian border was made as support of agent Hanabusa. We met up near Holman Outpost, and headed to Dublin. We were searching for a Tokkeitai operative, reportedly present in the system, and investigate his action so far away from Ksuari.

After passing through several systems unnoticed by Gallic forces, we crossed into Dublin, and soon found an area of activity, where several Molly pilots were conversing with the target, [KNF]Kuromaguro' [Image: CCMwDdRs.png]

While Hanabusa engaged in conversation with the agent, and placated the inquiring eyes of the locals, I was instructed to analise the composition of the forces present.

[M]-Wild.Sow (Barghest) - apparently the Molly leader on the field, and of known importance within the Mollies and KPT intelligence

[M]-Armageddon (Red Hessian Cruiser) - The only heavy asset present during our presence. It surprises me that the Dublin organization has access to such technology, as the Hessians are one of the highest threats known in Rheinland space. It was equiped with fighter/bomber support modules, as well as camouflage generator of the large kind.

Celsus.Inemis (Bactrian) - Another Molly which had recently returned from a raid, considering the cargo in its possession.

AAWG (Werewolf) - Little data could be taken from this vessel. Apparently hailing from the Liberty Rogues.

[M]-Alex.Krukov|WG (Odin VHF) - Yet another Molly pilot in possession of Red Hessian technology, which came sometime after the Armageddon left our sight.

-----------

After some talk by Hnabusa with the Kuromaguro, in which we tried to "incorporate" him, we got separated from the Tokkeitai agent, and had to hastily pull out due to the impatience of the natives.

On return to Kusari space, without the tokkeitai agent, and with little information as to why he was there, our mission was shifted to search and destroy of an outcast scout/raider located in Kyushu.

We found the Francesco.Alonzo[101st] at he controls of a Outcast Tidente gunship, and tried to delay him until any stronger reinforcements could come to our aid.
While my scout fighter couldn't do much in damage, heavy mine laying tactics were successful in downing his shields, although with little chance to press on the advantage.

The Battleship Kusari came to our aid, and we pushed the outcast thought eh Tau-23 anomaly. However we could not employ the force of the Battleship in good measure in the dense asteroid fields, and Hanabusa called us to return to Kyushu.

Before we could complete our reposition, and with the distraction of protecting the Battleship during his movement, agent Hanabusa was downed by enemy fire. Fortunately, he was recovered already within Kyuhsu, and the enemy did show intentions of keeping a confrontational stance after the agent was down.

We returned to [redacted] and proceeded to repairs and reevaluation of standing orders.

Agent report end.

Konnichiwa Section Nine, this is Operative Karasu.no.Kage.

On this day, an operation was initiated by the Section 9, I-401 operative, with support of affiliated agents Kenjiko and Aya.Shameimaru.

I-401 was at the Kepler system, Shikoku gate sector, investigating some confrontation between a Naval Forces Battleship and several Liberty Navy and police forces.

Information was scarce, with residual damage on the Battleship and a reported destruction of one LPI patrol vessel. I-401 headed the investigations. As no orders from the top were issued at the occasion, and due to scenario and agency assets present, modus operandi was set control and investigate.

The vessel in question was the KNF|KDS-Fukushima . KNF| markings identify it as part of the KNF second echelon forces. In open statements on the spot, he declared he had moved beyond the border to counter forces that had attacked his vessel.
In an encrypted Naval Forces communication however, her stated he was on government orders to evaluate LN forces and assets, to "justify" some sort of "military spending decisions".

Both versions remain unconfirmed, and suffer from an equal degree of lack of justification. The Fukushima captain was unable to identify which forces had attacked him before engaging the Liberty forces, if there were any at all.

----------

From inquiries to the Liberty defenders who were present, the Fukushima was found way beyond the Ames demilitarized zone, and without suitable reasons saw fit to act in an hostile manner before opening fire on Libertonian vessels.

Vessel present were the Battlecruiser Nevada (1), officer 5th|Jack.O'neill-B , and police officer LPI-Stodgy.Davis[RO] . A commanding vessel [LN]-LNS-Durango (1) arrived later to oversee their operations. (1)

According to initial evaluation, Liberty assessment was that:

- KNF|KDS-Fukushima was located first somewhere on the Liberty zone, beyond the patrol operations line, by either the Nevada or the LPI-Stodgy.Davis[RO] .
- Fukushima captain reportedly issued offensive remarks towards the the Liberty forces, in an deliberate breach of the Naval Forces codes of conduct and honor. It has also reported having disrupted tradelane networks of the Liberty side, and engaged both criminal and civilian vessels in the area.
- Engagement between the the Fukushima and the Nevada occurred near or at Ames Research Station sector. Fukushima claimed self-defense, Nevada claims territorial defense and self-defense against the Fukushima. LPI officer vessel was destroyed in the engagement.
- Fukushima was pushed back to Ames, and progressively to Kepler-Shikoku gate, where our agents found him at range from a collective of Liberty forces previously reported.
-After an initiation of the investigation, the Fukushima returned to Shikoku on it's own volition.

-----------

I-401 stated an initiation of the investigation on the events was to be initiated, with communications with the LN forces to be established for data sharing.

Personal recommendations:

- Stated mission of the Fukushima via encrypted message implies escalation policy from his superiors, towards Liberty. The usage of a Battleship Class vessel on a relatively secure system was good evidence of this.
- Liberty Navy response has been observed many times in the past, trough either KNF or KPT witnesses. LNS vessels of Battlecruiser class and above are fast to respond to focused threats on their northern borders, usually unescorted.
- Personal assessment is that the captain of the Fukushima has indeed breached rules of engagement, considering it's opponents. Inconclusive evidence about previous hostile actions towards Liberty forces.

As per operational procedures, our vessel had designation and records reconfigured for posterior operations. New records will be sent through secure channels. Communications of the event are transcribed below.

[PRIORITY MESSAGE, BE ADVISED]

The incident involving the Fukushima doesn't have the hallmarks of an LSF false flag operation or an Exogen Infection. There's been no corresponding movement of forces of either party, and it would be a major shot in the foot for anyone to risk such a large vessel if they had it under their control.

While it is most likely a lone, mad captain we are dealing with, the situation is still such that there is a person with a lot of firepower and an itchy trigger finger not under our control. We want this situation dealt with swiftly.

Your new orders are as follows.

-Determine the integrity of the crew of the Fukushima. Weather they're sane or not, or if they're part of a conspiracy.
-Secondly, once this is done, destroy the Fukushima and kill all of it's crew. It's presence as a naval asset is outweighed at it's political usage.

This incident is useful. It is showing the weakness of combined fleet to maintain it's own integrity, and it also gives us a catalyst to push for additional naval reform under our purview. The political opportunities herein will not go unexploited.

Understand the objectives I have given you and see to it they are done. I do not care how you do it, but I want this matter isolated within Section-9 if at all possible from here on out.

A few hours ago we caught track of the renegade vessel KNF|KDS-Fukushima. Initial signals indicated that the vessel had departed from Shikoku, and when we launched, sources indicated that LSF agents had begun moving somewhere in the Colorado system, in response to the suspect.

We launched our Explorer and headed to the Colorado system, contacting LSF agents on the field beforehand, and keeping links with reinforcements behind us.

After some initial survey with agent Arkayisha, the renegade Fukushima was reported near a Kepler jumphole, on an escape path back to Kusari. With the aid of some freelancers and LSF defenses the renegade vessel was intercepted near the Shikoku gate, where it refused to comply with the orders for surrender.

LSF engaged the vessel, and we decided to enforce the standing orders of termination of the vessel. A lone hogosha pilot aboard a BDS|Nagahama judged wrongly the situation, and rushed in the defense of the Fukushima, but was persuaded to cease his actions, without further consequences applied to him.

The Fukushima managed to pass into Shikoku, and exceptional permission of passage was granted to the pursuing LSF vessels, as their firepower was required to take down the mighty Battleship. After a brief confrontation, the Fukushima was struck down in the vicinity of the Kepler - Deshima lane. A Recovery party was summoned to take care of the vital elements of the wreckage for retrieval.

With the Fukushima destroyed, we thanked the LSF vessels and entourage, and escorted them out back to Kepler.

LSF vessels present were:

=LSF=Democracy (Freighter, initial contact)
LSFC-Sugarloaf.Mountain ( Liberty Destroyer)
LSF-Surveyor (Liberty Siege cruiser)
Before our return, we talked for a while with a freelancer called Yui.Hitomi, who was carrying a lot of uncommon materials. Due to the urgency of making this report, we decided to let her be, and returned to our stations in Kusari.

We confirmed through open communications that the Fukushima captain, a General Yamamoto, is in league with the imperial forces, and seeks to weaken the Kusari state through the provocation of war with foreign states in the name of the Kusari state. Measures must be taken inside and outside to control and disseminate the information considered appropriate to the ears of those who listen, by the purview of the Kempeitai.

As per operational procedures, our vessel had designation and records reconfigured for posterior operations. New records will be sent through secure channels. Communications of the event are transcribed below.

[PRIORITY MESSAGE, BE ADVISED]

The LSF's involvement complicates matters. I want you to begin feeding them false information as to the intentions and whereabouts of the Fukushima as a desultory measure if they are encountered again.

Furthermore, the claims that this captain has Imperailist sympathies are not a concern of ours. The Banner-carrying Imperialist fragments are already accounted for and, barring any unannounced deviation from our plans, would not risk drawing Liberty into the conflict. Things must be kept quiet, with as few loose ends as possible, you see. However, the Fukushima's actions provide a valuable scapegoat and, potentially, a political lever for us to further our actual goals. This should be pushed forward aggressively.

As for the extraneous Freelancer vessel, Hitomi Yui, I will place an agent to tail and investigate the anomalous vessel. Any nescessary action will be ordered once further information is available.

Konbanwa Section 9. A new report regarding the last incident in Hokkaido.

We were monitoring the Naval transmissions, when we picked up a surge of activity in Hokkaido. There were messages of several patrol and engagements in the region, and mentions of nomads from both KNF pilots and civilians in the area.

We kept a close watch on the frequencies before moving into action, as the KNF were dealing with a Blood Dragon capital ship, and our premature appearance might compromise our surveillance efforts.

Troubles follow one after the other to those pilots working on the Matsumoto sector. A spike on references to nomads indicated a likely encounter. We launched our vessel from [redacted] and proceeded to Yokohama, were we were to initiate communications and travel containment. I asked a Police officer, RKS|-SV-Bokken to assist in the containment to Hokkaido, but the old man wasn't very cooperative to our efforts.

Fortunately, I only had two names on the list to detain, other than the KNF patrol that had in the end suffered heavy losses while in combat with a single Nomad gunboat sized vessel. These other witnesses appeared on Yokohama by their own power, and were stopped on the spot

Event witnesses detained were a Hogosha (Association member it seems), designation [HA]-$|Yukari.Yakumo , and a freelancerof Rheinland descent called Hans.von.Goeben . We ordered them to moor their ships and submit to interrogation, while we discreetly passed them through scanning too.

The checkups came clean from exogen contaminants, but the interrogation provided some interesting results.
While the Hogosha girl was probably bluffing, I couldn't get anything of remarkable importance from her, other than a good description of the events with the KNF patrol. However, it seems the star of the show for most of the time was this Professor Goeben-san.

[Image: i5SoorBs.png] [Image: sBEuFYes.png] [Image: GNoT6s0s.png]

From what we could gather, he is an Rheinlander in a self-imposed exile (political activism, anti-governmental positions), and an expert on xenology on the Omicrons. He has traveled in Kusari a few times, once arriving on KNF escort, and also had presence in Liberty, according to the travel logs.

Seems Goeben-san has some theories about the Nomads, theories that should be verified or not, are to be dissuaded from reaching the Kusari public, according to the Section 9 Policies in effect.

[Image: HAIfmPys.png] [Image: FMLFbVss.png]

Due to not having the required authority to act against the foreign witness, I have requested his stay at Roppongi, in accommodations under our surveillance, complemented with a 7 day travel ban out of Kusari. This should provide ample time to deploy a pondered strategy for this individual. I believe he can be a valuable asset for research and intel.

[Image: FtUOgCvs.png] [Image: A0jmKoos.png] [Image: V7ce1Xrs.png]

The same travel ban has been applied to Yukari-san, and I believe our contacts in the Hogosha can give us updates on her status without compromising our presence.

----------

During our investigation, we have met another Kempeitai agent, callsign Aika.Kyoko (1) . This agent appeared from Yokohama, but was unable to recognize established security words, so not part of Section 9.

I leave this informations for processing and deliberation of posterior actions.

Agent Karasu, signing off.

[PRIORITY MESSAGE, BE ADVISED]

The results of your expedition were productive.

There are three matters to be handled in order of relative priority as a result of the information you have conducted.

Firstly, Hans von Goeben is tangentially known to us. If he is present in Kusari he is to be interrogated swiftly. The objectives of the interrogation are to find out precisely who, if anyone, he is working for; the nature of his research; and his political connections within the house of Rheinland. The general blackout on behalf of the Buro de Marineintelligenz is concerning, as is the general conduct of the Rheinland Government so far. We need to up our operations within the house to ensure support for domestic operations, and ensure no large-scale exogen compromise has occured.

Secondly, the extraneous agent Aika.Kyoko will be contacted via Section 9 GHQ. She is to be closely monitored to ensure she remains loyal, and is not a spy, exogen necrotic, or political apostate. That matter will be handled by Matsue GHQ and further instructions will be given to you in due time.

Finally, the malcompliance on behalf of the RKS is a concern. They are becoming an operational liability if they fail to obey basic instructions and actively resist co-operation with other elements of the national security edifice. We will need to circumvent their authority via the higher echelons of the government to force their co-operation. More encompassing measures will be taken depending on the level of malcompliance seen by regular police forces going forward, but that is an issue for GHQ to worry about.

That is all. You will be informed of further objectives.

Signed,
