Good Evening Liberty, this is channel 47 news, here are todays headlines..
Our top story today regards 16 deaths on the Carrier Retribution. Liberty Navy confirms a cardamine contaminated water supply was to blame. The contaminated water was apparently supplied by an un-named Junker trade ship and the retributions aquisitions Officer apparentley failed to stick to current protocols and failed to have the water thorougly scanned for contaminents.
The incident resulted in the deaths of 16 crew and another 64 having to be treated in the Retributions state of the art medical center. We have a brief statement from the Retributions commander, Captain Peters.
"I would like to express my sincere condolances to the families of the fine men and women who lost thier lives today. They served our nation with great distinction and their lives were cut short in their prime. They gave their lives in the defense of freedom, democracy and liberty."
"There can be no doubt our purser was negligent in his duties and the results were lethal. He is currently in detention on Manhattan. An investigation and search is under way to locate the supply vessel, rest assured the Goverment will have vengance. That is all at this time."
Channel 47 would also like to express their condolances to the families.
