Hello Bowex analysts!

Here is the report from your favourite ExSec, Miranda O'Neal.

While waiting for Durham to enter Omega-3, there were three pirates loitering around the Freeport 1. Frankly I have only basic knowledge about the Zoner laws, I'm not sure if loitering is forbidden for their kind. Anyway I stayed around keep a close eye on them. At some point they demanded 1 million credits each which was of course absurd considering I was just next to Freeport 1.

So they abandoned the extortion and one of them found safe refuge to Palmer Research Station. I follow her and soon afterwards her lackeys came to Palmer demanding money again and pointing out that I am no longer inside the No Fire Zone. So they attacked my ship while they activated the station's shields. Since I was alone, without backup, I successfully fled and waited for ExSec reinforcements.

By the time one more ExSec arrived, the pirates were gone. We successfully escorted Durham to Cambridge while the pirate Blunderbuss engaged me while I was guarding Durham's rear. The fight was brief since the coward engaged his cloaking device when he ran out of shield batteries.

Good Evening Bowex!

After a mountain of paperwork, and training for a practical exam in a few days, I've put together the survey report and analysis to share with you all. The survey itself was relatively easy going, apart from one drugged up Outcast who thought he could take on the whole Survey Team! As Exsec officials, we had to put him in his place. Vented into space. *chuckles*

The REAL issues start when, as the fine explorers we are, we dove into Chester. Such wonders, such uncolonised beauty that awaited us. Then a jellified paperpusher turned up. ...Had to go and jellify James whilst he was at it... The Exsec team did a glorius job liquidating the Jelly, whilst myself and a BAF Captain retrived James and took him to Scarborough medical... he better be alright the bugger... *a dispondent look crosses Sians face*.

Anyhow, here is the survey data... Enjoy.

Good day,

I had a very interesting conversation with a Major from the Rheinland Military today. He seemed quite aggressive, to say the least. He said quite a few rude things. I'll be forwarding this little conversation to the Armed Forces as well, seeing as how it probably does concern them.

Howdy there Bowex!

After some training, I decided to take out my Hussar and fly it a bit. I went over to Leeds to do a system survey. I know, you must be thinking, He's crazy, he went to a warzone for a survey! But it was awfully quiet... I surveyed the whole system without any incidents. One cruiser patrol noticed me, but my Hussar is fast and before they even set a course to intercept me, I was long gone!

Anyways, I attached the data. Cheers!

Found a known Molly on the lanes today. I assume it was trying to intercept transports doing the gold ore run. Was not a big fan of this at all. For some reason, I decided to give this pirate a chance. If he could prove to me that he will stop his harmful ways of life, then he could go and start a new life. However, this never happened so I had to put things right.

Convoy Participants:
BES Rufus - Tristan Corbett
BES Lawrence - Ryan Wallace
BES Dylan - Geraint Hughes
BES Pendragon - Frederic Amroth

Convoy Information:
A fairly standard Uncut Diamonds run from mining fields in Omega 11 to Waterloo Station. The BES Lawrence and my own ship, the BES Rufus, had already been loaded with cargo and moored at Solarius Station for safety and so we waited for the other chaps to arrive so we could take off together. We rondezvoused outside the station and headed off as a nice tightly packed group. Of course, the ion storms picked us apart quite quickly, once we entered Stuttgart.

Convoy Incidents:
Luckily we didn't have any major incidents along the way. Since we were unable to find a proper scout ship, we had to proceed with the hope that noone would notice us. As usual, we passed through the Omegas with due haste while keeping an eye out for just about anything out of the ordinary. You can imagine having four barely armed transports all alone in that region of space. Jumpy would be quite accurate when it comes to the state of the crews.

Anyway, we somehow managed to get out of there completely unscathed and reached Waterloo Station without problems. The only somewhat interesting incident along the way was a "Dunkirk" class battleship guarding the gate, the HMS-Valian, I believe was it's name. The captain was rather rude if I do say so myself. Guess that's just my luck these days though.

Report Notes:

The Dylan and escort Alex Lewis tagged along with a BMM convoy shipping gold from a mining operation in Dublin after picking up ore from the Tower. The journey was uneventful and goods were delivered ahead of schedule. The Dylan and her escort diverged and headed to Omega 11 while the Isle of Man, the Exile pilot and the BMM intern piloting the ISV Pegasus returned to Bretonia with a shipment of side arms.

The Dylan and her escort made contact with one
c.Klon, a red hessian heavy fighter pilot with piratical intent. Escort pilot Alex Lewis engaged the pirate in combat allowing the Dylan to make her pick up from the local Daumann miners. Upon the Dylan's return her crew was ordered to fire upon the pirate in aid of her escort. The pirate was able to evade persistent fire, therefore the Dylan fled to the stuttgart gate while Alex Lewis remained before fleeing to the nearby solarius station.

The remainder of the return journey was uneventful. Alex Lewis was able to catch up to the Dylan to return with the second shipment of gold ore, and the remainder of the night's endeavours ran smoothly. All concerned docked at Southampton shipyard for a good night's sleep.

Ha! It seems that threatening you with centuries worth of employee sensitivity courses has had a considerable impact on your performance. I might even say you lot have started making me proud! Good job, good bloody job. I haven't seen finer shooting since the days of raiding Kusari!

Your report writing skills have improved considerably as well. The surveys we've conducted will prove to be mighty useful indeed!

Special mentions go to Corporal Davis Pelham for his outstanding service, as well as Cadet Miranda O'Neal and Sergeant Breacon for, in addition the the aforementioned, making this bloody place slightly easier on the eyes.

Keep at it, lads and lasses. I feel we have a good future ahead of us.

Convoy Participants :

BES Lawrence
BES Boudica
BES Pendragon

Convoy Information :
The Convoy moved from New Berlin to Omega 11, Solaris Station carrying Rheinbeer. BES Boudica, BES Lawence and Pendragon there met with a Daumann Miner and ot a load of uncut diamonds. BES Lawence had to dock at Solaris for repairs and decided to do a complete overhaul there. BES Boudica and BES Pendragon proceeded via the Omega 7 and 3 systems and returned with to Waterloo.

Convoy Incidents :
The jourrney itself was quite eventful. We encountered Red Hessians in the Omega 11 System, who demanded a bribe of 2 Million from each transport. Luckily we are ensured by the Bowex Insurance and will get it back. In the resulting Chaos the Ship of Captain Wallace was damaged and he decided to do a complete overhaul.
But the rest of the journey for Captain Archibald and me to Waterloo was without incident.

Topic: The Borderworlds and what they mean to Gateway!

Message Contents:

In a startling turn of events, our rival corporation has been increasing their measly security force and attempting to ambushing our convoys as they travel through the Bordeworlds. You have been rather effective in stopping them, but I hear that we haven't been replying in kind. I feel this should be fixed.

I'd like to officially declare an open season on any Gateway vessel found in the Borderworlds. As long as there is no government presence, feel free to rip into the dirty bugger's wallets to your heart's content. In addition, management will match whatever amount of credits you manage to get off of them.

Let us persuade the sods that the Borderworlds are a rather dangerous place if you aren't Bowex.

Happy hunting, lads and lasses.
