Over the last few weeks, Gladius has found it's self outmatched and outgunned within Liberty space, and on the borders of Magellan. An invasion force lurks within Bretonia, and the Navy has stepped up fleet movements within the heart of Liberty. Our aging CTU-6b "Waran" Heavy strike craft, designated "Wolverines", aren't able to keep up with the demand for anti-capital vessel actions as much as they used to. Wear and tear is noticeable, and we often find ourselves outgunned by an Overlord or two.

As such conditions have become common, I'd like to request a condition update on the Cruiser Excalibur, and request it's deployment to Gladius for front-line support ASAP, pending repairs, refitting and availability.

Admiral Noble;

The Excalibur has been removed from the active duty roster because we simply don't have the spare parts necessary to keep it maintained at a suitable level of combat performance. While the ships of our own design are designed to accomodate components from different sources, unfortunately the Archer-class is just too specialised. The power grid is over-loaded and can't sustain much more than life support and navigation at the present time; attempting to fire the coaxial cannon would cause more damage to the ship itself than any intended targets.

If you want to have the Excalibur fast-tracked back to active service, we will need to secure a supply of high-quality power conductors, capacitors, and batteries. Extra hull panels and fitting crews would also help to accelerate the process. Preferably, the power system components should be of Libertonian origin; other sources could be workable, but it's too difficult to accurately estimate the time required to adapt foreign designs.

It's my job to find the difficult things and bring them forward as soon as possible. I can deploy what people I have available to begin sourcing and retrieving parts for repairs directly to Leniex within an hour.
