New day, old habbits. Opened his eyes, grumbles at the same concrete ceiling... "Soon..." he whispered to himself. He gets out of bed, lights up a cigarette, enjoys the first smoke and contemplates at his dog, Taz. He's still sleeping.
He get's ready, pours himself a coffee... starts looking for something to eat... nothing. Nods, takes out his last beefjerkey and gives it to Taz. "Today!"
He grabs the leash, Taz was jumping around anxiously. After talking a walk in the nearby district park, he starts going towards the landing platforms of the nearby loading docks. He spots an old Albatros, runs across the landing platform and jumps in the cockpit of the ship. Taz found a nice spot at his feet, he smiles and starts the engines. A police drone has begun the standard halting procedure. He ignores the halts and initiates the launch sequence. "At last free...". He looks at Taz and smiles:
- To new horizons my friend...
The ship leaves the planets atmosphere, heading towards the nearby cloud of asteroids... *to be continued*
