As you certainly know, it is not the first time this subject is broached. Our Naval Forces notorious weakness in heavy ordnance at the dawn of our Republic has been a great concern for our ministry.
According to the Admiralty reports, while the fleet integrity appears to have significantly improved, partly thanks to the agreements made with the House of Rheinland, the situation is still far from being optimal.
The codename 'Past Glory' was never activated because of its obvious connotations with the old regime, that could have worsened the political context of our great House. The Ministry of Defense is not unfavorable with reactivating this asset, granted the situation in the West Quadrant does not deteriorate further, and granted several key aspects of the reactivation project are agreed on and met.
As for the project Kōdoiro, the Ministry would indeed appreciate to be informed by the Admiralty of its evolution, given the amount of resources assigned to this project.
Consequently, the Ministry of Defense is hereby summoning two members of the Admiralty as well as Captain Soga to our headquarters for a meeting with the commission charged to oversee military projects.
Respectfully,
Shinobu Inada,
Ministry of Defense.
