Konbanwa, honoured gentlemen.

My name is Aramaki Hideo. Since our previous conversations have been infrequent and slow, as well as personal meetings between our groups have, let me provide you with the newest information from the warfront.
Our beloved Emperor, Tetsuya, recently started to focus more on the Tau part of our operations, with the eventual goal of returning.
Of course he is aware of the historical ties between the imperial throne and Samura. And of course he doesn't want to change that, in fact quite the opposite, he wishes to address the issue of our relations declining in a rather direct manner.
One of the main issues that arose recently, with the renewal of our operations and redistribution of assets, is the lack of actual supply lines. We are dependent on shipments that we receive via Shinkaku, and even if you do the best you can, the watchful eye of the Tokkeitai and the proper republican force still prevents supplies that are enough to justify warlike operations in the Taus.
We would address the issue ourselves because of this, but there is a further issue with this. In a recent assault by the Shogunate troops we lost our last transport and had to rely on our few freighters to supply our ships.
We would like to change this, of course.

I will make a proposal now, which would benefit both our causes, and of course mostly our beloved emperor himself.

We would like to acquire some transport-class vessels, ships that actually would be able to support our further operations. What class of transport we're talking here depends of course on your discretion, although our needs would be perfectly met by three K60P - 27T "Bumblebee"-Class Transports.
To cover the acquisitions of these transports, we already have thought out a plan. Our forces would move in to capture the transports of a convoy to Nansei Research station. Since these convoys are usually under the cover of the Republican Navy, we would be of course fighting them - and a loss of said vessels would have to be covered financially by the republicans.
As for the capturing itself - We recently acquired some... Software able to override navigation computers. It is of course not harmful to your crews, and once we reached Tau-29, your crews would be dropped off at Shinkaku, with no harm done to them. Even if that should go without saying, I still mention it, to assure you that we have thought everything over.
Should you have questions or proposals, or even just an acknowledgment of our plan, use this channel. It is encrypted and secure.

In the hope of a favourable response
Your loyal ally
Aramaki Hideo, Kaigun Daii

Konnichiwa.

We're reviewing this opportunity. I hope you can appreciate the need for discussion on this matter, as well as your utmost secrecy of our involvement. I will be your handler for this operation should it come to pass.

Konnichiwa Hideo-san,

First of all, allow me to introduce myself.  I am Kiyoshi Sato, of Planet Kurile.  It is good to hear you still feel that way about relations with Samura.  We are saddened to hear of your logistics troubles and will be happy to provide assistance in anyway we can.

That plan seems like it could work. We are now planning to commission 3 transports for this mission to Nansei: One Big Dragon and two Bumblebees. They would be escorted by KNF, of course, but we would also inform you of detailed route plans, after arranging things with KNF, so that you could set up a perfect spot for your plan.

As for your software-takeover plan, I can say that it's good. And take care of the crews, these will be well trained for this situation so all goes well.  I trust that nothing will happen, as you said.  After all, it's hard to keep support if people go missing, hai?

On a personal note, if you could check on the whereabouts of Reynard Sato and report back his status, it would be greatly appreciated and also help show your honorable intentions.

Konbanwa

I am glad that your response is favourable. As for the whereabouts of Reynard Sato, which you asked about, I remember him being stationed aboard the Itsukushima, a vessel that has been lost to a gallic assault about a year ago. I will look through my lists, and activate some contacts.
If he lives, we're going to find him.

I await your response with the time and details on the convoy. A list of escorts would be a good Idea as well, should you be able to arrange one.

For a true Kusari state.
