Following the successful attack by the insurgents against the Nagumo fleet in western Kyushu, rumors about potential downrating of Kusari's economy by Interspace Commerce are circulating Sirius' markets today.

More specifically sources claiming to be close to IC economic analysts state that the Kusari being cut off from the Taus and more importantly from their Tau-based industries will generate massive income losses estimated in many billions of credits. These sources also underline the fact that Kyushu system produces the 3rd largest GDP in Kusari and called the democratically elected government to quickly put down the rebellion before these insurgents and anarchists further destabilize the House's economy.

Rumors are circling the market today about a potential purchase of 40% of "The Core" shares by Interspace Commerce making them the largest shareholder of the well-known paramilitary company.

It all started a few hours ago when the House Director of Rheinland, Matthias D. Falkenrath during a conference mentioned that "in times of major turmoil, paramilitary organizations will play a major role in the final outcome" while he hinted many times in his speech that he was referring to the Core even describing the company as a "venture with lots of potential if it finds the necessary funds".

The new few hours investors rushed to purchase the Core stocks speculating for an upcoming IC purchase, which has increased the Core's stock price by 8%. The IC News economic analyst and fellow journalist Edward Henderson believes that the upcoming weeks or months will dictate for certain the outcome of this potential purchase.

Following a month of stalemate between the Kusarian forces and the insurgents in western Kyushu and Tau-29, House Director Matthias D. Falkenrath explained in his bi-weekly press conference to journalists and markets the reason for a second consecutive increase in premium insurance for cargo passing through western Kusari.

Finally he explained that the final drop which overflowed the glass was the constant delays to amend the House laws and allow Rheinland shipping in Libertonian space. This is required in order for Bundestag to do the same thing with Libertonian companies, and is inexcusable considering that the peace treaty has been signed already. In fact our contact explicitly explained that Liberty loses billions of credits for every month of delay due to lost revenue.

It is obvious that the major corporate players in Liberty are not going to donate to the sitting administration and instead support the President's political rivals. Should that happen, then it is almost certain that by 824 A.S. we will have a new Administration in Manhattan.

We have heard lots of things about the recent developments but few consider the economic implications or consequences. What is your estimation, Professor?

Well, to put it simply, the economic state of the Core is looking grim Julia. For good or worse, the Zoners were for many years now the major business partners of the Core. By destroying that connection, they have lost a great deal of their annual income. I would rather not explain in detail how many different functions the Zoners were vital for the Core.

According to the Head Administrator of CoF, this happened over a pack of smokes.

This is pure nonsense Julia and we all know it. Finn McCool disgraced himself to the scientific community by claiming such ridiculous things over Sirius-wide communications.

Anyway, based on the decisions that the Core's leadership made over the next 48hours they also lost a number of outlying organizations with which they used to maintain agreements and economic ties. Our House-based ALG Waste Disposal was attacked by Core warships while delivering humanitarian supplies to Freeport 11. A few hours ago they naturally declared the Core as an enemy. It is a matter of hours if not days for the Independent Miners Guild to make a similar announcement as well. The Junker Congress abandoned them too. And I suspect some House governments will be forced to make a decision too, sooner or later.

So how do they get out of this? Which is the route they are going to take Mr Müller?

Even before this crisis, the Core was already overstretched. It had opened too many fronts and started numerous construction projects. According to our best calculations the Core is no longer able to pay salaries to their mercenary fleet, which means that the prospect of mutiny is very real.

They have only way and that is forward. They can only push and achieve success with military force rather than diplomacy. And they need a big loan.

A loan? Who would provide a large loan for such a risky venture?

The corporation you work for, Interspace Commerce perhaps? They have the means to force their way, I know that.

In last week's session the Bundestag has approved the extremely controversial RDMPA. The bill has been universally disapproved and heavily criticized by economic analysts in Sirius for its economic protectionism and conservative policies.

House Director of Rheinland, Matthias D. Falkenrath gave the following statement during his weekly interview. "RDMPA is moving in the extremely opposite direction of free market policies and economic freedom. We estimate Rheinland's economy will experience 5% of income loss in every commodity added on that list.

In addition we expect the heavy stream of Sirian investors to Rheinland will stop immediately because of the economic unsafety that this protectionist bill will bring. Why would they sign up a contract if they are not sure that the next day their products will be banned or allowed for shipping?

At this point I can only say that we have faith that the Chancellor will veto this bill."

A few hours ago the Interspace Commerce Observatory downgraded the economic prospects of the Independent Miners' Guild over concerns that RDMPA will severely damage the Guild's presense in Rheinland, the second biggest trade partner of the IMG after Bretonia.

As soon as the announcement was made, the APM Board of Directors confirmed the purchase.

This is one of the biggest purchases in 823 A.S. and the markets have responded overwhelmingly positive to this development. House Director of Rheinland, Matthias D. Falkenrath said to reporters that "Interspace Commerce is investing in the security of Sirius and a strong AP Manufacturing means better equipped hunters and military personnel for the decades to come".

According to our sources the exact cost of this purchase is estimated to around 700,000,000 SC, while the share's prices were at a year low. With today's move the economic giant of Sirius is now controlling two ship building firms, Renzu Corporation, specializing in civilian designs and AP Manufacturing which specializes on military-grade spacecraft.
