Operation: Ashigakari is a highly clandestine GMG project, known only to the primary ranked members of The Guild, which serves as the precursor to the invasion of the Samura controlled Planet Kurile.

Operation Briefing

Deep within the murky emerald green of the Kunashir Cloud in Sigma-17 lies Planet Kurile. Notable for its plentiful supply of specialised alien organisms that are capable of flourishing in harsh aquatic environments, the planet is currently controlled by Samura Industries, which presents a problem.

The Guild has great interest in harvesting alien organisms, for both its own terraforming operations and as a secondary income stream to exploit alongside its flagship fuel economy. There are two major deposits within reach: Omicron Beta and Planet Kurile. Operations in Omicron Beta are extremely dangerous due to the resident Outcasts, and serve as a large stick with which to bat the Maltese hive. Kurile, being located within The Guild's own territory, is ripe for development, but there are barriers that first must be broken.

This is the first step to taking control of the planet.

Basic Plan

A successful invasion will require a solid planetside base from which to launch strikes on the resident Samura security personnel. A small structure, named Shikotan Platform, has already been established on the opposite side of the planet from Samura's, from which two additional platforms, Shikotan B and C, will be constructed and linked together to create a singular structure in preparation for further fortification. Supplies for the maintenance of the platform and its crew must be stockpiled in parallel, alongside the equipment necessary for offensive actions. More platforms may be established as and when necessary.

To assist with atmospheric entry, a satellite has been set up to serve as a signpost for access to Shikotan. This method of accessing the surface limits participation to snubcraft and freighters only, which will help maintain the stealth aspect of the operation.

Execution

Guildmembers will quietly ferry the listed supplies to the GMG installation, utilising Garanchou freighters. Large transports may be stationed in the vicinity of the planet and transfer cargo to freighters in order increase the efficiency of the supply operation. If detected by uninvolved parties, ships will immediately divert to Freeport 9 in Omicron Theta in order to give the impression that the Zoner base is the final destination for the cargo and maintain the veil of secrecy surrounding the project. The route will then be completed without disturbance once any interfering ships have vacated the area. Materiel acquired outside of Guild space will be purchased under the guise of an upgrade project taking place on Iejima Station.

All shipments will be reported in this channel, with credit bonuses paid out upon successful reports.
