[WIP] HISTORY

In 823 A.S, after 6 years of fighting the Libertonian-Rheinland war was over. Both Houses rejoiced and were looking forward to a new era of peace between them.

But, not everyone in Rheinland was happy with the outcome.

Many impoverished Rheinland citizens had found work from the war. Conscription into Military service gave them purpose, and they took great joy in defending the pride of their nation from the Libertonian menace. However once the war was over they felt backstabbed With their no longer being a war to fight, many Military pilots found themselves unemployed once more as the Military downsized. With the signing of the peace treaty, they had felt as if the Federal Government had bowed once more to the pressure of an external power.

With job opportunities becoming progressively sparse as Rheinland regress back into a state of peace, ex-Military pilots increasingly found themselves resorting to lives of extortion and theft within Rhienland's various unlawful groups. Due to the lack of willingness to employ by Republican Shipping, many found themselves within the ranks of the Unioners.

One such ex-Military pilot, Lars Zweihander, ended up joining the Unioners. What he saw upon joining was nothing more than a group of loosely and poorly organized pirates and aspiring terrorists. Although united by a common goal, attacks against Republican Shipping, it lacked true direction. And thus, with each increasing day the Unioners influence on the Rheinland criminal and political underworld was vastly dwindling.

However, to him the other Rheinland unlawful groups weren’t better choices. The Hessians were socialists, bordering on becoming communists. The Bundschuh held politics that he did not entirely agree with. The LWB whilst their cause was just, Lars was no farmer. Above all though, he saw that the Unioners did have potential to become something greater. Although at a glance they really did just seem like pirates, they had the spirit and soul of true Rheinland citizens.

Using his abilities as a Squadron Leader in the war, Lars decided to establish the Rheinländische Reichssoldaten. An Imperial branch of the Unioners that would pave the way for a greater Rheinland to be realised. The Federal Government had become disillusioned and was no longer true to the Rheinland people. Lars had heard of how great Rheinland was back when it was the Rheinland Empire until its demise via the ill-fated assault on the Gas Miners Guild. Lars and his cohorts would re-create this Empire, and make Rheinland great once again.

Bundschuh and Unioners really dont like eachother
I thought they were friendly? If not, then I guess neutral would be better anyway.
Why not just join the existing Unioner faction instead of starting this up as a knee-jerk reaction to some words bandied around in OFL chat?

Sorry, Lyth, but I have serious doubts regarding your actual commitment to a Unioner faction.
I've been wanting to make a post-peace, or rather post-ceasefire, Unioner faction for a while before the discussion in OFL. I understand that Alster is already a thing, however it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for. I wish Pinko all the best with Alster though.
Bundschuh should be as hostile as possible.
They hate the Unioners, and an imperialist Unioner group that resents the end of the war (which Bundschuh supported), is pretty much opposite to everything they stand for.

Where is ALG? If they're intended to be neutral as "all others not mentioned", that's definitely not right. ALG are significantly more hostile towards Unioners than any other Rheinland unlawfuls and will engage them on sight.

Otherwise looks pretty interesting, a group like that emerging from the end of the war makes sense to me. I hope you don't fall victim to the apparent curse that kills all Unioner groups ever made.
You know as well as I do that there's barely room for one Unioner faction on the server with the pop how it is - let alone two. I don't buy your excuse at all. The only interest you've shown in Rheinland that I can remember involves furthering your own ends in Core| through BDM or RM related RP, so you can undoubtedly see why I'm skeptical of your newfound passion for Unioners.
What could agenda could I possibly further via the Unioners of all things other than actually creating a Unioner faction?

The Texas ZoI has great potential and I want to exploit that.
I didn't say you were furthering an agenda. I said that you've shown absolutely zero interest in Rheinland over the years, and that your sudden attempt at reviving the Unioners is coming entirely out of left field, and in full ignorance of the people (or person?) who actually care(s) about said NPC faction, however few they may be.
