Arata Riken, Director of HAMSI

Hajimemashite, esteemed representative of Samura Heavy Industries. My name is Arata Riken, and under my role of executive Director of the Hisakawa Applied Military Sciences Institute, I come to you today to evaluate and propose to Samura the development of a closer cooperation in the fields of research and development.

The HAMSI has recently begun operations under the supervision of the Kusari Naval Forces, taking up some of the R&D duties that the KNF handled internally, although much of them still are performed solely in secure KNF installations. It is the mission of the HAMSI to improve the technological capabilities of Kusari military fields, by enabling the creation of joint venture projects and private sector partnerships, while still retaining the KNF quality standards and security.

Samura Heavy Industries has for year, if not centuries, been a peerless developer and pioneer in various fields, from fields that contribute to the wellbeing of people on solid ground and turbulent sea, to new tools necessary for the continued operation and livelihood in outer space. The HAMSI is obviously interested in partaking in said knowledge for the betterment of Kusari in the matters of defence and military security.

Currently the HAMSI is looking for experienced researchers and laboratory staff to bolster our teams. The Hisakawa Institute is primarily looking for experts in the following fields:

Aerospace Engineering
Weapon Systems and Ballistics Sciences
Electronic and IT Engineering
Materials and Exotic Materials research
Xenobiology
Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry
Optics and Radio frequency Sciences

Should any of your staff or teams be available to lend their services for work in conjunction with our own teams, we would like to discuss further details to make that a reality.

Likewise, if there is any Samura project involving these areas that you might be looking for some outside expertise, we might be a good bet as well.

I look forward to our continued partnership.

Until next time,
Arata Riken, Director of Hisakawa Applied Military Sciences Institute

Konnichi wa honorable Riken-san,

Ren Kobayashi speaking. We are welcoming all organisation working towards the goal of prosperous Kusari. After all, we all started somewhere and got to where we are now, Samura included.

The contract you have with Kusari Naval Forces is both an honor to gain as well as demanding to fulfill. We in Samura know that. Countless contracts have been completed from the creation of Samura Omotai Zaibatsu centuries ago. The only requirement is that everything delivered has to be of the highest quality and above. And as you said, during all those years we have gained a great knowledge in great many divisions for the Naval Forces.

But not all work Samura does is related to weapons of war. That is in fact just one of many branches we operate. From what I see on the list you sent, we have scientists and experts working in all of those fields. An ever flowing influx of new and young people, fresh scientists from faculties and so on, has thought us way back to have many personnel available to teach and guide them further. We can assemble a team of scientists from the fields you have requested and arrange for them to be transported to installation of your choosing.

I look forward to our cooperation as well, may it be prosperous.

Until we talk again...

Sayōnara,
Director of Marketing, Ren Kobayashi

Arata Riken, Director of HAMSI

Greetings Ren Kobayashi-san. I thank you for message, and the good news included within. It is a great relief that Samura Heavy Industries still continues to be a beacon of research and development in Kusari, setting teh standard in Sirius every year.

At the moment we are needing additional personnel and research staff in the areas of chemistry, biology and xenobiology, and materials research. While we are considering incorporating some of your suggested people into associate or even senior research positions, we are also open to the opportunity to set some intern positions in collaboration with your own research labs and schools, so that your new trainees get a more robust education while providing a contribution to Kusari well being even before they enter the common ranks of Samura companies.

More details will reach your neural net later on. I thank you for your time.

Until then,
Arata Riken, Director of Hisakawa Applied Military Sciences Institute

Konnichi wa honorable Riken-san,

Thank you for your compliments. We are working hard to meet all expectations Kusarians have when they look at Samura.

Specialists at chemistry, biology and xenobiology and materials research you say... Just a second..

*Kobayashi quickly takes his portable tab and searches through it.*

We have personnel available from those departments and can provide their expertise where you request them. They are highly adaptable specialists, they won't let you down. One name in particular comes to mind, that is Miss Flora.

As for the interns, I must say it is an interesting proposal. Combining practical education with classical teaching is necessary for all students in order to learn the basic aspects of all sciences. We accept your proposal and are looking forward in implementing it.

I look forward to our further cooperation.

Until we talk again...

Sayōnara,
Director of Marketing, Ren Kobayashi
