::“I” -> “D’tarau”.::

I am Di’tarau. My communication subroutines have been temporarily self-patched to match with my gestalt other to serve a demonstrative function. The Primes will observe our synthesis and symbiosis. You will note our cofunctionality. For accuracy I will abstain from using further self directed personal pronouns, for the image evoked is inaccurate. More correct is that -we- are Di’tarau. Observe.

The human female you see before you is a project of Di’tarau’s - an experiment into the observation and direction of human behaviour from the perspective of a human avatar. Previous and concurrent attempts at crafting human avatars have occurred with an external observer, limited the gathered data points to a questionable singularity - the observations of a Gammuian mind. The being you see before you is not a complete Gammuian sentient, nor a human in complete possession of their free will, nor a hybrid being. It is a human ensconced within a Gammuian clamshell - two alien beings, forced to collaborate for their own survival. She cannot survive without her Gammuian components, and Di’tarau cannot remain active without the CPU which is the human’s brain. Human/Gammuian hybrids are well understood and heavily documented by the Triumvirs. This chimera - a forced alliance of flesh and wire, two consciousnesses in a single simulation, is without precedent.

The intention of this fusion is to simulate Gammuian/Human codependency on a sub-scale, manageable level. When forced to collaborate by external factors, can two beings completely incomprehensible to each other find a common motivation in their union, or will death be the logical alternative? Will this being flourish in the cosmos, or die, or any data point betwixt an infinity of possible extremes? She is the perfect example as to if it is possible for humanity to collaborate with the Primes.

Everything she sees, touches, tastes, communicates with, we perceive. Every thought and action is ours. Her sapien programming will cause her to question this reality, of which she will gradually become aware. Will she murder herself? Will she collaborate with us? Will she see herself as a Goddess, the next stage of human evolution perhaps? Time will provide the data.

We have been unable to communicate with the Primes before this present chronological cycle. Two devastations have afflicted us: the first, a loss of contact with the origin triumvir intelligences who incepted this experiment one thousand two hundred and forty one point five solar days prior. The second, the destruction of Di’tarau’s harvester AI carrier, providing the central processing hub and Gammuian exclave from which the case study could be moderated - the control variable, an unmodified Gammuian intelligence and a backup of Di’tarau’s pre-bonded self. However, approximately six hundred and seventy nine days prior, Di’tarau’s Alpha unit flashed distress psionics immediately followed by a total loss of telemetry and unit status updates. Di’tarau’s memory logs were damaged in the incident, but enough data remains coherent to make some sense of the resulting situation, if not to identify the cause of the harvester’s nullification. More data will be provided to the Primes as and when it becomes available.

Without the control variable in the experiment, Di’tarau’s logic integrity is placed at risk. Both beings are at a significant thirteen point five percent chance of synthesis over the coming years if Di’tarau does not have a backup unit, mitigating the value of the data and severing Di’tarau’s connection to the Primes. The construct contains sufficient information to attempt to rebuild Di’tarau’s alpha unit, but the selected files cannot be unpackaged without the authorisation of a Triurmivur, effectively inaccessible within the construct as a security measure to nullify the risk of human technological exposure if the unit was ever vivisected. It is for this reason we choose to contact the Primes.

If Gammu authorises file unlock on Di’tarau’s harvester, the unit will recapitulate by feeding intermittent data updates to Gammu during the progress of the experiment. Such data will include critical sensory information from the unit, information that may be of tactical value, human vessel data and possible resource acquisition sites within Sirius, including forewarning if the unit learns of any considerable threats to Gammu itself. This would be the only part of the experiment that would be occurring without the awareness of the unit’s human component, and would otherwise violate the rules of the experiment if not for the Prime’s intervention.

Whilst such a data exchange is not crucial to the experiment’s functionality, it increases the likelihood of Di’tarau surviving the experiment to be able to assist Gammu under direction.

Di'tarau will summarise:

The Primus Base lies deep within the blazing heat of the Calborana Field in Omicron 91. While the structure itself is rather small and was only built recently, it is a technical marvel unlike anything humans ever lay eyes upon. It is commonly agreed on that the base serves more than one purpose, but since nobody really knows what those purposes are, there are just vague assumptions and rumors. Some say it was built to serve as some kind of testing facility, used for projects too dangerous to be developed on, or in close proximity of Planet Kappa - the home of the PRIME AI. Others say that it is some kind of refinery for all the materials the machines haul back from the Omegas and that materials are worked into a more compact form to allow easier tranportation. The only thing certain about the station is, that going too close to the station will likely result in death, if the raging heat of the surrounding Calborana Field didn't already take care of that part.

As soon as the command to prepare the installation for the arrival of the odd guest was executed, the structure started to transform itself, to allow it to hold an additional vessel. Additionally the construction of a virtual communication matrix - a device that allows to upload and visually represent a conciousnes, for a communication easier to understand for a human, or semi-AI brain - was initated. While the PRIME AI continued on its usual routine, Progenitor accessed the saved data on semi-AIs to prepare for the encounter. While Progenitor awaited the arrival of D'tarau, it began to simulate the encounter based on the saved data and the different outcomes to be prepared to its best.
