Alalḗ!

On the 4th of August, 20:00 hours, Siran Mean Time, The pro-K'Hara independent Kusari Battlecruiser, ‘The Lightseeker’, was tracked down, ID’d, and destroyed completely by the ACV Eidolon Wraith and her task force operating within the Omicron Delta system. The traitor battlecruiser’s primary fusion reactor appears to have suffered a massive magnetic confinement failure after exposure to the surrounding space under sustained fighter assault. The resultant plasma emission breached the battlecruiser’s aft hydrogen compression tank, causing a large explosion in the engineering deck, disabling most of the ships systems and catalyzing a chain reaction of secondary detonations which immobilized the vessel, breached the ship’s CIC leading to the death of all of her bridge crew, and breached the vessel’s magazine. The vessel sustained a critical loss of structural integrity and disintegrated before a comprehensive evacuation of the vessel could be commenced by infected operatives. ELINT data reports that there were no non-infected or non-aligned nomad captives or personnel aboard the Lightseeker at the time of its destruction. The following feed was harvested directly from the Lightseeker’s flight data recorder. This is a considerable victory for the cause of pro-human solidarity.

DESTRUCTION OF THE LIGHTSEEKER

To those who fight in humanity’s defense - we salute you, and implore you to recognize we are all elements of the same cause. We all fight under the same fife. Our methodology is different, our cultural idioms distinct, but our humanity is contiguous. The K’hara seek to disunify us - they fear our ability to operate together, to be individuals but with a common purpose. Only through dissent, by turning brother against brother, sister against sister, will they destroy us. They will not destroy us.

To the Kusari Naval Forces. We apologize that we were unable to retrieve the Lightseeker - Or Kongou as it was once known - from the K’hara intact - combat is heavily variable, and capture operations against compromised vessels are extremely dangerous for the boarding crew. Now that the vessel is destroyed, you can count on one less K’hara agent misappropriating your assets against you. Keep Kusari safe.

For those who dwell in shadow and misnomer the darkness as light, know that we are the wardens who hold the lamps. You may be Thalassa and we may swim in your sea, but we are Erebus and no light will reach your waters. You are surpassed. You are a machine operating long after your engineer abandoned you - idling through the generations with no will of your own, no rudder, working off an impulse to preserve this sector as a museum for a curator that will never come to praise your work. Your are nothing if not outmoded.

Know this, mindshare. If we have to restring every neuron in your head, we will come for you. We will correct you. You will know the price of doctoring the fate of the bioorganisms that build machines from a handful of dead matter and dirt. You’ve stepped on an ant colony - now the ants will drag you under. Those who call yourselves Oracles, you predict nothing. You have no vision of a covalent future. You have no future wherein you adapt us to your service. There is no happy union. You are no precognition of human evolution. You are afraid, disordered, and led astray, and those that we can help, who come to us for help, will find what they seek. Those who wish to die for an alien cause? We can achieve that, too.

Choose wisely.

Remembering Delta

[Image: latest?cb=20120218185401&path-prefix=de][Image: rheinland_freelancer___flag_by_neethis.png][Image: latest?cb=20110801072539][Image: latest?cb=20110801144857]

On this day, we reflect upon a battle which shook the Edge Worlds. An assault that - to this very day - many still feel the impact of. A memorial stands on the battered station of Freeport 11 to remember those who died in the ruthless attack conducted by the totalitarian paramilitary organization known as the Core. Hundreds, if not thousands of civilian lives were lost during the battles which spanned the month of May. Auxesia stood proudly in defense of Freeport 11, despite various accusations from the Independent Miners Guild and Zoner community that we were responsible. However, those accusations were withdrawn when evidence was brought to the table to prove our innocence.

In fact - our involvement was the eradication of an Order Battlegroup which was dispatched to destroy us. The Order - An organization often called terrorists, or revered as heroes for their perilous fight against another kind - The Nomads. They had not only the audacity, but the willingness to throw ship after ship away in a vain attempt to eliminate what could've been a valuable ally in their supposed cause. As the smoke cleared after the initial assault, the self-proclaimed vanguards of humanity were no where to be seen as the Core stepped up their strikes. As expected within the deep Edge Worlds, such activity attracted the unwanted attention of the Nomads, which left a sole Order vessel vulnerable in defense of the relief convoys which braved the expanse of the sector with solidarity in mind for the Zoners and civilians of Delta who suffered from this atrocity.

With increasing attacks across the Omicrons, the Order's presence dwindled to that of non-existence. They ran and hid out of fear of that which they claim to bravely fight. Not just the Nomads, but they ran from the Core as well, leaving the Freeport vulnerable to more attacks. Meanwhile, Auxesian pilots stood steadfast in defense of the incoming convoys, and repelled the alien invaders.

SKIRMISH IN OMICRON DELTA

The Order have long since lost their way beneath their megalomaniac leader, and have been working to enforce their own views and dogma upon the sector, establishing a set of laws for their territorial claim, which they ruthlessly enforce upon all - civilian or otherwise. They retreat as the Nomads advance. They cower as the Nomads invade. Yet, they remain hell bent on eradicating those with similar ideals. Those who share the same blood as them - their own species. The Order are no different than the totalitarian Core, who hide behind thinly veiled claims of saving humanity, yet execute prisoners live on video feed like their true nature intended. The Order call for bloodshed of any they choose to declare 'an enemy of humanity'. Be warned, for you might be next on their list.

As the conflict within Delta came to a close, Battlegroup Auxesia participated in a Non-Aggression Pact with the Hessian forces of the Omegas, in an attempt to halt a second Core battle fleet as it advanced in the direction of Freeport 9, with the intent of claiming more lives and draw attention from the crippled Freeport 11, so a secondary fleet of warships could move in and finish what they started. The combined force proved to be too much for the massive Core fleet to handle, and thanks to Auxesian forces, several Moray bombers, as well as a Bottlenose-Class gunship, found themselves joining the scrap fields of the Edge Worlds. Much like before, the Order were no where to be seen as they prefer to cower behind their minefields.

BATTLE OF OMICRON THETA

In memory of those who lost their lives during these events, and for future prosperity and survival of our species, Auxesia perseveres. Understanding the enemy and ensuring that our future is not brought to an abrupt end by the biological machines of the Edge Worlds is what we fight for. We fight or we die. There are no second chances. The enemy does not feel remorse for their actions. They do not understand the concept of death as we do. We are prey, and they are predators. Auxesia fights to turn the tide, and ensure that we - Humanity, survives.

Retirement

[Image: latest?cb=20120218185401&path-prefix=de][Image: rheinland_freelancer___flag_by_neethis.png][Image: latest?cb=20110801072539][Image: latest?cb=20110801144857]

It was nearly one standard year ago when the LNS Cincinnati made its daring escape from the Liberty Navy with the help of the illusive and defunct organization known as the Aegis Initiative. Since then, its crew and commander have undergone so many challenges and changes in their lives from their comfortably structured military life within Liberty's finest. Former Fifth Fleet Commodore Maverick O'Howell now Paladin has been the face of the Monument-Class dreadnought for nearly thee decades as its commanding officer since it left the drive yards. It's on a saddened note that we announce his retirement from the line of duty. He has since stepped down from command of his vessel, and was willing to comment.

Unit #283: "Query: State personal view regarding past ten months, fifteen days, thirteen hours, seven minutes and thirty-two seconds."

Maverick: "What...?"

Ganes: "It's asking about your opinion, boss."

Maverick: "Do I really have to sit here and talk to this bot? Why aren't there people here?"

Unit #283: "We are capable of providing and recording the needed data for this interrogation."

Ganes: "Interview."

Unit #283: "Correction noted. Query repeat: -"

Maverick: "Fine-fine-fine. There's a lot of speculating that gets done about why I did what I did. Why me and my crew - my family - all two-hundred who were still with me chose to leave. When a man comes to you to talk about some wild and crazy plan involving Nomads and infestation on a galactic scale, you might think he's some nutcase that thinks Nomads are shadowing him. Funny thing about that - It happened to me. It wasn't really some inane ramblings of a moron either. Right in the middle of our little talk, a god damn giant one came out of no where and opened fire on the guy's ship. I gave the call to move us in to combat position when the thing directed its fire to the 'Nati instead. The guy, Hunt was his name, booked it and left us. I lost one-hundred and sixty people that day because of that man."

Unit #283: "Statement: You were recruited by individual - Joshua Hunt."

Maverick: "Yeah, I'm getting there. I was mad at what happened. Mad at the Nomads, seeing as how they were still around after the first Nomad war. Mad at Hunt for costing me the lives of so many good men and women. Mad at my command for not conducting a formal investigation in to what happened."

Unit #283: "Query: State date of scenario."

Maverick: "Uh... Jeez, Eight-Twenty one in May or June? Around then. Anyway, years went by and things just slowly fell apart from there. Started seeing the signs of what was wrong. Two decades later and the Nomads are still trying to hit us. Things just kept getting worse and people didn't want to admit it. Eventually I started getting shut out. Then along comes some guy out of no where calling me out and knowing everything that was wrong. He mentioned a name - Hunt. I still haven't let go of what happened and I damn well never will until I avenge them, but at the time it wasn't important. I needed to start doing something and get outta there before things got worse. So we did. The 'grand escape' to the Omegas. Didn't last long, though. Corsairs hit us with our pants down after the Navy locked me and the boys out of the power core."

Unit #283: "Query: State personal opinion of Auxesia."

Maverick: "Different. It ain't like the Navy, obviously. I'm not even finished the first question. We saddled up from there and began workin' with Raven closer and closer. I got let in on a couple secrets. Around April while we were out with the Fallen Angels, working to take a punch at the Artifact smuggling industry, Hunt comes over and announces that Raven is our leader now and the Initiative merged up. First thing that ran through my mind when he said he wasn't leading anymore was 'good riddance'. As for Auxesia... We got the right of it. We're out there trying because we know something bad is coming. In my opinion, this is the second war. It ain't as heavy as the first, but it's big, and it's only gonna get worse from here on out."

Unit #283: "Clarify: Personal hatred of Individual 'Hunt'."

Maverick: "I wish I could put him down like he deserves, but even I know when the situation calls for leniency. I might hate the guy, and it might bug me that he was right about crap hitting the fan, but he's important enough to keep around until the squids are knocked out for good. Once that happens... I'll be taking what he owes for the lives of good people. 'Till then, I'm just gonna drink my ale and sit on the beach while the sun sets. Maybe call my kids."

With the influx of personnel and civilian populace surpassing a mark of identification, Auxesia can no longer be referred to as a Battlegroup. The title has since been dropped due to the increase of size. We have surpassed our shell and continue to evolve for the better. Auxesia will continue to stand strong. In addition however, the City Ship Sovereign has been decommissioned by a unanimous act of the Inner Phalanx. Acting command unit 5T1NG-R4Y was de-activated due to instabilities. Whilst the Sovereign, a Bustard-class carrier, was incredibly modified for field operations as a Mobile Base Platform, The Inner Phalanx cites the rising inefficiency of the City Ship its self, due to an increasing population and need for resources to repair the Titania II. Most of the engine components have already been made into spares for the Titania Two, which is going to receive the highest condition components. The breakers crew on their initial inspection said that the Sovereign was undergoing unusual changes to its core functions by its aging AI unit, which has since been de-activated.

The city ships are an invaluable part of our movement - it’s been that way since we started recruiting. They might not be as roomy as ground settlements, but you don’t become Auxesian because you want a bathtub and a lounge, you join because you want to be safe - and the city ships are safe. The Titania has survived sustained cruiser assault on the borders of Maltese space before, with crew on-board, without injury. If your surface settlement comes under attack from a cruiser group, you’re going to lose your home. The Inner Phalanx expresses its thanks to the distinguished service of the CS-Sovereign and its former crew. Their diligence is beyond doubt. Yet the Sovereign is an obsolete vessel and was thus recycled to minimize decommissioning costs. Her size makes her a liability to put into reserve. All civilians have been recompensed financially and will be provided with superior accommodation according to their familial and personal needs, aboard ships it is at the discretion of the individuals to disclose. Furthermore, All flight operatives crewing the Sovereign have been reassigned.

Victory in Liberty

[Image: latest?cb=20120218185401&path-prefix=de][Image: rheinland_freelancer___flag_by_neethis.png][Image: latest?cb=20110801072539][Image: latest?cb=20110801144857]

Auxesian forces were notified of a high concentration of electromagnetic energy readings surrounding an incursion zone in which Nomads had attempted a small scale invasion of the New York System several months ago. The nature of relations with the Republic of Liberty combined with the familiarity of the EM signatures prompted the deployment of hunters, specifically designed for tracking and removing vessels that make use of cloaking technology in almost any form due to advances in EM Pulse wave disruption technology in the recent years.

Arriving to the scene, two Sentinels and their associates were met with an alarming sight as two Guardian-class Nomads sat virtually unopposed in front of the capital.

Auxesian personnel wasted no time in allowing the threat to manifest or to participate in any mind games. A single First fleet pilot by the name of Ryan Dagnino joined in combining his firepower to remove the threat. The first enemy contact - A Guardian-class, known as a 'Marduk', fell. The unfortunate incident of his vessel being shot down had occurred not long after, and with no sign of rescue, he was picked up by Sentinel Marshal. Dagnino risked his life in the face of insurmountable odds to work alongside an organization that has been declared terrorists by the Republic in which he serves proudly, but the fight wasn't over. The remaining Auxesian pilots as an Initiate was recalled due to structural integrity failure on her craft, found themselves locked in combat as a Rogue Destroyer seemingly came to the Nomads defense. The State Color 'Colorado Green' and his crew opened fire on Auxesian forces for an unknown purpose, despite his band being more commonly viewed as vigilantes than pirates.

The push continued as the remaining alien contacts attempted several times to retreat. Time was of the essence, and the skirmish could no longer be dragged out. The Arktos arrived on scene under the command of the Curator to eradicate the remainder of the hostile contacts, successfully removing the last Guardian, and finishing off the Scylla that had seen fit to join them. Relieved from battle as the last contact retreated, Auxesian forces made their exfil from Republic space before they could be interdicted, depositing Ryan Dagnino at the nearest friendly installation so he may return to duty once recovered from any injury.

Another victory against the Alien threat that continues to rise, as Auxesia stands between Humanity and total annihilation at the hands of a species that is incapable of showing mercy. As they will not show us such, they will be given no quarter. Auxesia will stand strong, with pride in defense of even those who see fit to attack our forces, as no one deserves to fall to the menace of the Omicrons.

They will not defeat humanity. Auxesia will never surrender, or retreat.

Crisis in Delta

[Image: latest?cb=20120218185401&path-prefix=de][Image: rheinland_freelancer___flag_by_neethis.png][Image: latest?cb=20110801072539][Image: latest?cb=20110801144857]

Just seven months after the events that rocked the occupants of Freeport 11 and Omicron Delta during the warpath of The Core, another series of incidents had occurred within the fringes of the Sector leaving more innocents injured or dead as many are forced to flee for their lives from what many claimed to be another assault made by the ruthless Core paramilitary, unprovoked and unwarranted. However, when called to aid in the situation, Auxesia deployed a detachment of peacekeepers to investigate what was to many, a very unclear situation. The results of the investigation were suspected, but nonetheless troubling.

ARKTOS STANDING GUARD
[Image: Pjw4wAa.png]

But where does this all begin? Video evidence provided by The Core to prove their innocence in the initial strikes showcased a pair of Zoners - A colony ship and escort carrier - becoming directly involved in combat alongside the terrorist organization known as The Order, needlessly putting their own lives at risk and endangering the Zoner community yet again. As any would expect to occur, the Core retaliated and assaulted The Zoner vessels for their obvious relations to The Order, who are known to abuse Zoner laws and have in the past attacked Zoners themselves within Baffin to further their agenda, effectively using the loosely affiliated Confederation as a human shield to hide behind, endangering civilian and Zoner lives.

During these events, a neutral vessel belonging to the Ingenuus Research Group came under fire by Core assets, which the Core Guildmaster Jack Daniels apologized for, despite claims of the vessel standing between The Core and a fleet of Corsairs, which visual evidence proved that no Corsairs were present at the time of the attack.

Quote:We've already stated that the case with IRG ship was an accident, despite the fact it was standing between a fleeing corsair fleet. I take full responsibility. I was not there. I couldn't prevent it.

Because of the unprecedented assault made against a Research society, The Inner Phalanx came to a consensus to remain on scene and further prevent conflict from breaking out, but such a task is not an easy one when surrounded by many who thrive on chaos or the need for control. Fighting eventually broke out, caused by the remnant organization identifying themselves as 'The Commune', who claim to have originated from the Samarran Raiders. If it were the case, they've become barely a shadow of their former selves, but are still as bloodthirsty as ever. Commune vessels attacked security personnel within the Freeport No-Fire Zone, uncaring for consequence. Naturally, they were removed by Auxesian and Zoner security personnel, and peace was maintained for some time.

However tensions continued to rise as The Zoner community began to retaliate against The Core, despite being advised against such an action. Attempts at resolving the matter peacefully had failed when Zoner vessels marched to war to 'defend their home'. As admirable as destroying Makos and other Core vessels may be, it went against every chance either party had of a mutually beneficial end to conflict. Because of the retaliation, Auxesia withdrew its peacekeeping support from the Freeport and will not participate in a conflict caused by those who portrayed themselves as the victims. All aid will be limited to aiding in evacuation of neutral parties from the conflict zone.

Shortly after withdrawing, witnesses claim that the Freeport was bombed by a combination of Core vessels and Kusarian warships. Direct feed from our own personnel have confirmed that an N.E.M.P device detonated on the station over twenty-four hours prior, and the station has not been responding to hails since. As for the Kusarian warships, they're presumed to be under alien control at this time, but nothing has been confirmed.

The Core continue to wage a war against civilians for control and power in the Edge Worlds. Their actions border that of war crimes, with massacres of medical vessels and relief supply ships being shot down. Their tactics involve doing whatever it takes to ensure victory, and it's only a matter of time before their crimes boil over in to house territory and put more lives at risk. Despite the previous assault from seven months ago being halted by a large combined force from Sirius, it's unsure if The Zoners of Freeport 11 will receive such aid this time.

War on Corruption

[Image: latest?cb=20120218185401&path-prefix=de][Image: rheinland_freelancer___flag_by_neethis.png][Image: latest?cb=20110801072539][Image: latest?cb=20110801144857]

The Order - An organization founded on the ideals of fighting off the alien threat, who fought bravely to save Sirius over two decades prior, and continued their fight cautiously and carefully in the edge worlds against the extraterrestrial foe that looms over us all.

What are they now? The Order became nothing more than the personal army and empire of one man after having lost their home to The Nomads. Their inability to prepare and understand their enemy became their downfall. Now, they serve to further a private agenda against Sirius, under the control of a megalomaniac who declares those who don't bow down to his new Edge World Empire an 'enemy of humanity' and subjects them to eradication. Wanton misuse of what little resources they have left have brought more war to the Omicrons and Independent Worlds, when what could've been a fruitful relationship became conflict, and inevitably led to war. But how successful have they been at their original goal?

ARKTOS VISUAL - OSIRIS DESTROYED
[Image: HxzfS4m.png]

Well, we can't deny that their success at removing a major threat from the independent worlds was welcome, but having lost two vessels in such a minor operation which could've easily been prevented, combined with the abuse of Crayterian aid to rescue one Order agent's mother from the Nomads? It's no secret that their kind take prisoners for the sole purpose of controlling them. At that point, they're long gone, but the inability to let go for the greater good is their weakness, and many Crayterians, Auxesians and Order agents lost their lives needlessly playing hero for a pawn. Many other organizations have fallen victim to their puppeteering and proxy strategy, as stated by one Malcolm Simmons:

Quote:Me? I've encountered them before. Naturally, it was because I used to work for the Neo-Terran Front back in Kansas. They ended up developing strong ties. If you ask me, they were arrogant and unsubtle. Imposing their dogma on everyone around them. It was a major motivation for me leaving the Front to be honest; I felt our high command had let the movement become a proxy for the Order and lost sight of their goals.

How many other organizations have fallen victim to their control? How many others will end up abused by the now-corrupted 'vanguards of humanity?' We say no more. Auxesian forces will continue to push The Order from the Independent Worlds and loosen their grip on those they might use to do their bidding. They'll learn that people are not their slaves to do chores, and if they're too afraid to stand and fight the war they wanted to start, then we'll finish it for them.

We will not allow them to pollute humanity any longer.

A New Dawn

Our light has not yet gone out in the cold darkness of space.

At 17:34 Sirian Standard Time, Auxesia forces working in tandem with Order defectors destroyed a vile Cultist stronghold within the perilous reaches of the Drake star system. Evading hostile Nomad and Infected patrols, our brave defenders of life made their way to the Cultist dogs' hideout, discovered earlier through the work of assets of the newly absorbed Harpy Squadron. The ACV Andraste, ACV Eidolon Wraith, and ACV Cheimon were dispatched as a rapid response unit to contain and eliminate the Cultist threat, alongside the CV [REDACTED], and the [REDACTED]. Harpy Squadron, yet to be organized as a proper unit within the Covenant's ranks, was also on-station to provide snub support.

DESTRUCTION OF CULTIST CARRIER
[Image: 42c9e3e6f1.png]

After a fierce battle, allied forces contained the menace and collected valuable data and technology. Our science division is currently hard at work deciphering the inner secrets of the Cultist menace.

We have been battered, we have been shot. We have been exiled, we have been lost. We have been killed, and we have been abandoned.

But we are not yet broken.
