TO: Leadership of the Bretonian Armed Forces
FROM: Praefectus Aquila, IG
LOCATION: Freeport 1, Snowdown System

Greetings well esteemed leadership of the Bretonian Armed Forces,

I will briefly introduce myself for it is likely that not all have heard of me or my organisation. I go by the name of Aquila and I was born and raised at Freeport 1 as my grandfather was one of the founding fathers in 738 A.S. Therefore I am a Zoner and descendant of an ancient family. My older brother, Viator, and I opted for more adventure. So we founded Interstellar Guardians (IG) as an paramilitary organisation that helps the poor and defends those who are not capable in defending themselves. Due to recent events we are able to fund this operation and would like to start a dialogue of mutual purpose with you.

Just yesterday I had a quick exchange of thoughts with the well appreciated Admiral McIntire of the HMS Elephant at Freeport 1. It came to my understanding that we have common enemies for we both do not like pirates and terrorists who feed on the sorrow of others. In that way my brother and I are different then other Zoners, but we have our reasons. We could offer our services in operations of Bretonia such as peacemissions and handling certain pirate and terrorist organisations. In exchange every Interstellar Guardian will have free passage through Bretonian House space and our capital ships may dock at suitable Bretonian bases. This is just an example of what kind of agreement we are thinking of.

Futhermore I would like to point out that we are not associated in any way to Zoner factions that recently violated their own NFZ and had aggressive behaviour towards lawfull individuals. They are a stain on the Zoners as a faction.

If you are interested in our story feel free to ask.

I hope we can open the dialogue and maybe negotiate terms of a potential cooperation. Thank you in advance for your time and I bid you a good day.

Yours sincerely,

Aquila

Estimated Mr. Aquila,

I need to ask you for a bit more patience, this matter needs to be discussed and currently some members of the Admirality Board are seldomly able to spare the time for such matters as you can surely understand in the situation of the Armed Forces.
You are not forgotten, just give things a bit more time.

Jacob McIntire

Me. Aquila,

Your proposal was discussed on the Board and we appreciate your will to help keep the peace for the average citicen, not warmongers and pirates.
But there were also voices sounding concerns regarding the matter, specifically that a part of the Zoner community, wich normally refrains from direct warfare, suddenly changes this paradigma.
In other words a part of the board wants to be convinced that we can trust you.
For now we deemed material supplies as the best way to cooperate without too high risk. If you want to accept this proposal we would appreciate to negotiate about it.
Regarding the free acces to Bretonia, I can not allow that for all of your vessels. Of course all ships of the gunboat class and below can traverse freely, but the warchips would cause trouble and maybe even fear in the light of recent events.
I will grant you though to station those ships at Freeport 1 and you can request to be escorted elsewhere by any Armed Forces Commander.

yours sincerely
Jacob McIntire

Greetings again Admiral McIntire,

We share this concern, for it is a dirty stain on the reputation of the Zoners as a faction. As I wrote before, we are not associated with those troublemakers. Regarding the peace at Freeport 1, it is very frustrating to not hear anything from the CoF, that is also an concern of me. The law must be respected, both Bretonian as Zoner law. More and more the NFZ of Freeport 1 is being violated and that concerns you as well I believe. It is very important that peace comes back to the system!

Having no trust in us is understandably but unjustified, for we have done nothing to deteriorate our relations. But we have also done nothing to earn the trust of your board who may or may not have never heard of us. If we have spare material parts or in some way easy acces to a certain goods, we can ofcourse help you with that. I think that would be a good first step of our cooperation.

For now we will station our warships at Freeport 1, also because of recent event and the violations of the NFZ at the freeport. In the meantime can you think of a way to give us the opportunity to earn your trust?

Hope to hear from you soon,

Yours sincerely,

Aquila

Estimated Mr. Aquila

Firstly, we dont mistrust you, you gave us no reason to, but beeing suspicious is mostly healthy. To the situation at the Freeport, worry not, we are in contact with the CoF now and hope to solve the problems by working together.
But to the real content of this message; We have one major problem in Bretonia that foreigners can help with. The lack of supplies. Our nation fights since over a decade and we are well organized due to that but even a well organized supply chain has its limits.
So if you want to do Bretonia a favor, supplying our units would be a great opportunity.
To get more concrete, the Fleets of the York, the Macduff, the Ark Royal and the Essex stretch our supply lines quite a bit. If we would be able to reduce the supplies going there for some time we could redirect those supplies to Leeds, while your group would do the less dangerous runs to the Fleets.
In numbers we would need 3000 food rations delivered to everyone of the above mentioned ships, as well as 1000 units of consumer goods and 500 units of Tea per ship.
If you agree we can set up a cargo registry to verify the goods reached the troops.

awaiting your response,
Jacob McIntire

Greetings Admiral Jacob McIntire,

I think we can help you with that matter. Let me make contact with our trading connections who are in possession of the transports required to help you with the needed commodities. After that I will get back to you.

Yours sincerely,

Aquila

Greetings Admiral Jacob McIntire,

We were just setting up a draft transport schedule for named commodities when I exchanged words with Fleet Admiral Michelle O'Brian. I am very disappointed of the way business is done. My grandfather would turn in his grave as great merchant and diplomat if he would hear this.

I do not want to place you in a weird position. But I want to say that we had a very valuable cooperation and table talks thus far. I think you are the kind of leader with integrity and I appreciate that.

I hope we meet again and so whilst enjoying a drink,

Yours sincerely,

Aquila
