Grande Maréchale Lucie LeBlanc,

The Tau security situation has been deteriorating rapidly since yesterday due to the ongoing alien invasion into Kyushu. Reports say that more than 30 vessels have been damaged or destroyed in fighting, and Kusari reports suggest that the numbers might be conservative and might be closer to the double. To make matters worse, human forces, Outcast and infected forces also seem to have joined the attacking forces. In combination with the Tau 44 uprising, the Tau situation has become critical in the Guild's assessment.

Yesterday IMG patrols escorted a GRN wing back to the Guillestre with one Lynx badly damaged after fighting in Kyushu. Java wings were briefly engaged in skirmishes while protecting the rearming operations. After this incident and sporadic fighting spilling over into Tau 23, the Guild was forced to halt mining operations due to the proximity of the conflict area and the confirmed presence of large alien creatures.

In such a dire situation, the Guild would like to offer our assistance in dealing with this threat and coordinate GRN wings that keep up law and order and have stepped up against this threat against all of humanity. Guild combat assets are prepared to move into Kyushu today, also two exploration cruisers and a carrier are on standby to get involved in combat operations, pending GRN's approval.

Yours sincerely,

Stephen Schwerdtfeger
IMG Guildmaster

Guildmaster Schwerdtfeger,

The Royal Navy has already assigned a special taskforce to contain the alien threat. The Kusarians are about as useful as they are open and cooperative, so I can only advise caution when operating in the directly affected Kyushu system itself. We are taking an aggressive approach in dealing with this anomaly, and although the security of the Tau-23 system and its border regions is paramount we see no reason to allow the threat to materialise into something more concrete.

Assistance from the Guild Paramilitary is more than welcome, although we would caution you against an undue level of interference. These aliens are among the highest-level threats your pilots will have ever seen - a fair step up from the bandits and brigands you are used to fending off from mining operations. They are living biohazards as well as accomplished combat organisms, and it is of the utmost importance that the contamination of both Guild and Royal Naval assets is kept to an absolute minimum. The Directorate will be dispatching a team to liaise with Guild personnel aboard Java on this matter, to ensure that there can be no further spread of infestation beyond this failure on the Kusarians' part.

Additionally, the aliens are not the only concern to have arisen around this anomalous event. Along with the rest of the rabble that call Kusari home, ships belonging to the Sirian terrorist organisation known as 'The Order' have also been seen in the area, as well as those belonging to an Omicron-based paramilitary known as 'The Core'. The former are confirmed dissidents and wanted for crimes against the Gallic Crown; the second a potentially volatile and disorganised cadre of alien hunters. Either could pose a very real threat to stability and safety in the region, and we advise you follow the Royal Navy's lead when it comes to dealing with these uncontrolled elements.

Cordialement,

Grande Maréchale Lucie LeBlanc

Grande Maréchale Lucie LeBlanc,

It is good to see that the GRN are willing to take an offensive stance on the alien threat. Seeing that Kusari is - as always - hesitant to accept help even if reports are clear about them not being able to contain the danger, the Guild will try to work even closer with the GRN forces, in order to avoid trouble with reluctant KNF politicians.

The liason on Java is welcomed by the Guild and rooms for such a setup have been reserved and the necessary equipment is being set up while we are talking.

Thank you for the warning on the alien threat. That Taus and in the past also Dublin have seen waves of alien invasions, so at least our veteran combat pilots know about their combat abilities, however more inexperienced pilots on our both sides will need the coaching. I suggest IMG and GRN group leaders exchange experience on how to counter this threat and thus reduce the risk of this mission.

As for Order and Core, the Guild will try to stay away from both and focus on the real threat - which should be easy given the circumstances at the moment. Neither group should regard the IMG as a target of importance, that's why I assume that Guild vessels can stick to their main mission to defeating the aliens.

I am looking forward to seeing GRN and IMG wings going into battle against this common enemy.

Furthermore, I would like to personally thank the GRN for assisting the Guild and KNF today in the Tau 23 engagement against massive Outcast forces. Only with your help it was able to weaken the Outcast forces enough to force them to retreat in the end.

Yours sincerely,

Stephen Schwerdtfeger
IMG Guildmaster
