Our outlet stores are prefab buldings of set length, width and height, 30m * 20m * 15m. We ensure those buildings will fit perfectly into the usual luxuary and idyllic theme of Curacao's cities and streets. We want our costumers to be attracted to enter our stores and be impressed.

The storage area should be big enough to store a good amount of our products, including HOT GEAR vehicles. If you have empty storage halls available, we would buy or rent them, however they should be located on Neo Lagun, prefered close to Miramar.

I must say, it has been quite a few years since I've heard such an ambitious sales pitch, colour me impressed. Your plans are detailed and your idea is sound, however Curacao is a cutthroat world for businesses where only the most effective survive.
Fortunately we do have seven units becoming available in the next month:

1 in the eastern shopping village on Willemstadt
1 in the Central plaza on Pure Fortuna
2 in the North and West shopping centres on the Gato Islands
1 in the grand plaza on Piscadera Island
and 2 on the East and North shopping villages on the Spaarnestraat Islands

These units are similar in dimension to your prefabs with larger floor spaces in the plaza units (roughly 5m square), rent will be 205 thousand credits per fiscal quarter (820 thousand a year) with a 2% sales tax on all items. This rent includes a full size warehouse on Neo Lagun with free advertisement both physical and via media.
Should HOT GEAR prove to be a market success, based upon quarterly profits, you will have the opportunity to takeover units from less successful ventures, consequently should any of your units post profits below average for two straight quarters you will be given two months notice and evicted from said units.
(Please note that you will still be charged for the unit rent covering your eviction period.)

Would this be a suitable arrangement? I realise it is much less than you originally proposed but it has room to expand should your products prove to be a hit.

Accepting the deal

Esteemed Chairman Pines,

HOT GEAR is excited to see extent of cooperation you are willing to show towards a newcomer and we will do our very best to ensure the trust you have in our plans and their execution won't result in disappointment. In order to finalize the first deal, allow me to sum up the relevant terms of agreement:

Orbital Spa & Cruise permits HOT GEAR to place and operate HOT GEAR outlet stores with the beginning of the month April at the following locations:

One (1) HOT GEAR outlet store in the eastern shopping village on Willemstadt
One (1) HOT GEAR outlet store in the Central plaza on Pure Fortuna
Two (2) HOT GEAR outlet store in the North and West shopping centres on the Gato Islands
One (1) HOT GEAR outlet store in the grand plaza on Piscadera Island
Two (2) HOT GEAR outlet store on the East and North shopping villages on the Spaarnestraat Islands

One (1) HOT GEAR warehouse will be constructed on Neo Lagun to supply the outlet stores with HOT GEAR products.

HOT GEAR will pay a quarterly period rent of two hundred five thousand (205.000) Sirian Credits to Orbital Spa & Cruise. Additional HOT GEAR will pay a sales tax of 2% on all sold items. For transparency, HOT GEAR allows Orbital Spa & Cruise to check the quarterly period revenues of all Curacao-related deals.

Orbital Spa & Cruise permits HOT GEAR free advertisement in physical and media-based form to promote HOT GEAR products.

In case of Orbital Spa & Cruise detemining HOT GEAR commercially successful, HOT GEAR will be permitted to rent additional plot units to place additional outlet stores in respect of the prefered locations HOT GEAR proposed and highlighted in the location chart.

In case of Orbital Spa & Cruise determining HOT GEAR commercially not successful, based on the profits of the Curacao-related transactions and location of two quarterly periods, HOT GEAR will evict the outlet store from the specific location within two months. HOT GEAR will still pay the rent for this unit for the quarterly period.

In case of Orbital Spa & Cruise permitting HOT GEAR to establish additional outlet stores, the quarter periodical rent will be adjusted depending on the individual costs of the additional units.

HOT GEAR is willing to agree with the conditions stated above.

in the name of HOT GEAR I am glad to announce that the first month went well for HOT GEAR on Curacao. To boost our presence on Curacao and increase our range, one of our investors suggested HOT GEAR to host a race on Curacao. Hereby I would request to do exactly that.

For this I want to suggest the Piscadera Islands, the northern island Piscadera Major, to be precise. There are no hazardous environmental conditions at the beach levels of this area. No cliffs, no rocks and the beach is open enough to have no palmae in the way.

The race will be about three laps around the entire island, clockwise, starting at the beach of the coastal town of Cululu. HOT GEAR would like to place some stages and terraces for the spectators and their entertainment. HOT GEAR plans to hire a few live-acts for this, both for the themes of Curacao and motorsports. Also, the installation of a few high-definition holographic screens and other related systems would be necessary. HOT GEAR wishes ensure all the needs of the spectators and participants will be satisfied. Catering, music, thrill, bets and show. Of course all installations would be only temporary.

The race track itself would mostly be marked by sensor buoys, half of them placed in the water and the other half close to the palmae level. Energy field equipment will be used to ensure the populated areas of the race track, like the stages and terraces. The HOT GEAR hoverbikes will be equipped with high-tech sensory systems as well, so it should be very easy for the racers to stay on course.

The equipment used for this race will be sponsored by HOT GEAR to ensure the tech level of the used hoverbikes is fairly even. Of course this will also ensure the racers get in touch with the superior HOT GEAR equipment. You maybe have seen the current HOT GEAR hoverbike models in the prospect I sent you a week ago together with the Gran Canarian pralines. In case you didn't, here is a quick overview:

HOT GEAR HG-200 "Curacao"
A balanced hoverbike, the best choice for newcomers of the scene. Also the lightest hoverbike in our product range.

HOT GEAR HG-201 "Lavinia"
Model "Lavinia" may has a more exotic optic than the other hoverbikes, but benefits from its design in terms of manouverability and acceleration. Named after Lavinia Green, a professional racer.

HOT GEAR HG-202 "Dupont"
Model "Dupont" is named after the professional racer Lothair Dupont and provides more security than the other models. The "Dupont" is heavily armored and shielded, at the cost of top speed and manouverability. However, nobody dares to ram this thing, and it is very handy on more dangerous race tracks and those that offer risky shortcuts.

HOT GEAR HG-203 "Sweetheart"
Yet unmatched top-speed is the focus on this model. "Thrusting is the most fun part about riding Sweetheart," so our main investor. He was talking about the hoverbike, Chairman.

Of course HOT GEAR will provide enough safety and security measures for the racers to ensure everything will leave the event with just the same amount of limbs as they entered. HOT GEAR will sponsor the racing suits, just like any other equipment needed. To ensure the racers get time to get a feeling for the HOT GEAR equipment, I would like to ask whether the race track could be opened for the racers at least one week before the actual race, of course to set times to ensure the population of Piscadera can visit their beaches as well. The hoverbikes are capable of being used on the water as well, so there is no need to claim the entire beach level for the training.

Proposed date and time of the event would be the May 23th of 824, 4.00 pm, with the race beginning at 6.00 pm and estimatedly lasting for between 40 minutes and an hour.

Now to the interesting part, as I guess you are wondering how OS&C could benefit from this as well. Our main investor proposed to offer a betting service for the race. In case of OS&C accepting, 2% of the profits would be shared with OS&C, based on the paragraph mentioned in the HOT GEAR-OS&C contract about the 2% sales tax on all sold HOT GEAR products on Curacao.

Here a few numbers.

Sponsored trophy money for the winner of the race: 100.000.000 Credits
Entry fee: 10.000.000 Credits
50% of the entry fee will be added to the trophy money, the other half will be used to cover the cost of the event.

Sponsored jackpot for the betting service: 50.000.000 Credits
Betting ticket: 5.000.000 Credits
50% of the income through the betting tickets will be added to the jackpot. Each betting ticket can be placed on one (1) racer. There is a maximum of ten betting tickets per betting entity. In case of multiple different betting tickets on the winning racer, the jackpot will be shared between the specific betting entities. For example: If three different betting entities placed a betting ticket on the winning racer, the jackpot will be divided by three.

OS&C will earn 50.000 Credits per placed bet (100% - 50% for the betting jackpot - 48% HOT GEAR profits = 2% OS&C sales tax) and 100.000 Credits per partaking racer. (100% - 50% for the trophy money - 48% HOT GEAR profits = 2% OS&C sales tax)

I did indeed browse the prospect and I was thoroughly impressed with the range. Thank you for the pralines by the way, unfortunately nuts don't agree with this old man's system but I am assured by the Board, and the fact they were eaten within the first half hour of the meeting, that they were quite excellent.

Now to the matter at hand.
Your proposal and the potential income are both acceptable, however I must ask that the race track be at minimum 200 metres from any jetty or coastline structure, in return OSC will feature the race on our exclusive neuralnet broadcasts with HOT GEAR recieving 30% of the profits. Keep in mind that our broadcasts are available sector wide at a premium and if all goes well, we may see this turn into an annual or perhaps bi-annual event.

My other concern is the presence of the Battleship Yukon and its fleet in orbit. Throughout this war the Liberty and Bretonian navies have patrolled our system, as agreed by the Treaty of Curacao, but we have never had a battlegroup stationed within. I have had no communications from the Liberty Navy regarding our new guest but the writing is quite clearly on the wall.
While we may be somewhat safe from the Gallic advance due to our previous diplomatic efforts, there can be no doubt that Curacao will soon see a significant drop in visitors and potentially placed under an indirect blockade or at worst case, occupation. To that end, OSC's Board of Directors will be temporarily moved to Baden Baden until such a time that Cortez is deemed safe once more. I however will be remaining here to oversee the situation, I would advise you to prepare for all eventualities and safeguard the well-being of your staff.

Hopefully we will both escape this storm unscathed.

Concerning the other topic, HOT GEAR's main investor is glad about the planet itself being in a rather safe position, both in terms of the four greater defending factions around the Cortez-system as well as OS&C's wise efforts in maintaining a good relationship with Gallia.
