And yes, you guessed it. This is the project I was so excited about on our last meeting! Since my dear colleague Professor Doctor Samson made it official, we can now talk unrestricted about it.

The Sol Project will use Hypergate technology to reach our planet of origin, an extremely advanced, and huge, jumpgate with unimaginable power. It'll be a joint venture conducted by every organisation or private person who would like to give Samson and me a helping hand. The construction site will be deep within the Omicrons, so logistics might get a bit tricky, but the position is essential to the success of the operation. But despite all difficulities, the potential outcome is worth the effort. Earth awaits us!

So far nobody tried to build a Jumpgate leading outside of an entire Sector to another one, Gallia - Sirius connections are a joke compared to this. The positioning of the gate in the Omicrons is senseful, you guys clearly thought about everything already. Afterall they are at the edge of the Sirius Sector and I suppose the closest to Sol too.

Let's get right to answering your business questions:
If the expedition fails to realize one of its major objectives, 12,5% of the original sum will be paid back. For example, the project will be considered a fail if the hypergate is not functional. *IF* the expedition force does not reach the Sol System, or the expedition force can't return to Sirius for whatever reason, the investors will be paid back 125% of their original investment. All other scenarios will not be considered a failure by law. The refund percentage applies to all kind of investements, regardless of the sum.
It is true that you and Miss Irelei were the *first* major investors, but the profit rate is sadly not negotiable. Other important participants already accepted the contract where the exact numbers are written. Offering a special contract to you would lead to trouble with the rest of our clients.
