It's about time.
Almost an entire year has passed since the abrupt ending of the previous meeting. After the distress call from the IKN forces prompting the sudden leave of Kaigun Taisho Sakuma Hitomi the imperial forces have not been heard of again for long. Soon after the Crayter Republic and the Gallic Council became occupied with further planning and then executing the reclamation of the Tau-44 system and the interest in another attempt for a conference waned over time.
It was only recently that the Imperial Kusari Navy have given word of itself once again: the well-executied series of combat operations over the span of mere months resulting in their further advancement into the Kyushu system, including taking control over the planet itself, ended up as a pleasant surprise among their allies. Along with the success of the Council and the Crayter Military earlier this year these events raised the interest in solidifying and officializing the alliance of these handful of (more or less) Tau-dwelling factions. In addition the introduction of the Frumentarii now provides a platform to involve the IMG in these talks while not compromising the Guild's public image in front of the Gallic Royal Navy.
Pierre was suddenly drawn away from his thoughts by a bright small dot descending in the distance. He was standing at the very same window as a year before, with clear sight onto the nearby Blagnac Spaceport. It was obvious the spacecraft was about to land there, whether it is carrying Kaigun Taisho Yukiyama Minako of the Dai San Yon San Kaigun Kokutai, Mad John Rackham of the Temporarily Autonomous Zoners, Sarah O'Riley of the Frumentarii, or Fleet Admiral Michael Richard of the Crayter Military was a mystery he knew he'll find out within minutes. He looked at his WristComm, reading the time on the display: 13:45 SMT, then let out a sigh while looking back at the descending ship.
