History waxes for the tragic, just as it ever has.

The LWB are on the verge of total self-collapse. It is inescapable - their leadership is a gaggle of self-interested squabblers jockying for political position. Their Rheinlandic elements have been heavily subsumed into the Union, or have abandoned the cause, whilst their Omega elements are, lamentably, taking orders from the Coalition and the dreaded Hesse. The once-proud movement is in its death-throws, Gaians - the Hesse and the Bundschuh have made sure of that. The Volksrevolution was aways a competition, not a collaboration, as the socialists would force us to believe.

If we do not act rapidly, there will be a slaughter. We both possess a founding interest in preserving a dedicated anti-Synth movement within the Stuttgart system and in the heavily monocultured fields of Stuttgart itself. Rheinland’s Gaia is wounded, but is not yet dead, Gaians - however, the window of opportunity to save the planet from total occupation by the planet-killers is slender.

Worse, we believe the police have succeeded in rounding up several of the surviving members of the Erlichmann family - the once-powerful agricultural landowners who have provided the movement with much of its funding body - if Erlichmann is interrogated, we anticipate as many as a sixth of the LWB’s figureheads will be arrested - their underlings will rapidly follow. We request the support of the Gaians in consolidating the remains of the LWB within the Rhein, in recovering them from their planetary offices before they are discovered and arrested by the Rheinland police. Two allies can achieve more than one; perhaps with Gaian support, we can persuade more of the LWB leadership to submit to Union protection. We cannot convince the LWB to assist us alone - with Gaia's aid, we just might.

We do not take this step lightly, but time is against us. Stuttgart is dying and the Hessians are running rampant through southern Rheinland. If we do not consolidate the Rheinlandic opposition into a consolidated Arbeitergewerkschaft, there won’t be a Stuttgart left to save.

For Freedom. For Gaia. For our twin worlds alike.

Let us save what we can.

It would seem that the cause of LWB's prolonged silence is more serious than we suspected.

The Guard understands the need to act and appreciates the Union's initiative. Reorganising the movement out of Hessian influence is indeed a necessary action to take. However, this message raised a question that needs to be answered before we take any steps further.

The Guard understands that the Union requests our assistance to apply outside pressure on remaining LWB leaders to submit to the Union's command. Although we see the need to provide LWB with solid leadership, we have to ask. What makes the Union a group we should trust with this endeavor? What makes the Unioners a better choice than the Bundschuh? How can we be sure that the LWB will benefit from becoming your subsidiary? We do not know you. All we have are rumours that do not serve your reputation well.

As much as we appreciate your initiative, we have little in the way of reasons to consider the Union a trustworthy partner for such an venture. Do not see this as an insult. It's a mere precaution.

An understandable set of questions. I’d ask the same if I wore the same uniform.

Firstly, we keenly support the cause of reduced planetary interference. To terraform a microbiotic world is to kill all possibility of life developing further. Secondly, we are both key milestones in the trans-Sirian artefact trade. You are the gateway to Bretonia – we – Rheinland and the Libertonian eastern border. As for the Bundschuh, they are not only militantly opposed to the Bundschuh, but also advocates of trans-Sirian cooporations known to be responsible for the destruction of planetary biospheres, such as Synth Foods, Interspace Commerce, Cryer Pharmaceuticals and the Gas Mining Guild.

The rumours against us are multiplicitous – they are deserved. We serve largely our own interests instead of being subordinate to another authority. We are one of the few groups that has managed to stay neutral amidst the Hispanic axis. Yet our agenda is firm; we believe in the cause of the Rheinlandic worker, and, ostensibly in the improvement of social, economic, and ecological conditions within the Rhein. Our primary, current objective, is to prevent the GMG from illegitimately terraforming planet Saigon, deep within the Sigmas. You may not know of the world, but it is an ecological paradise, rich with advanced xenofauna and well down the progression of its own evolutionary curve. An international treaty to protect the planet from exploitation has been laid in place by both the houses of Kusari and Rheinland alike - we suspect the GMG is attempting to violate the treaty in the interests of expanding its own stellar wealth. If the GMG succeed, it would likely result in inter-house war, a condition that would hardly prove productive for the ecologically bountiful worlds of Holstein and Honshu, which would be directly on the firing line. We preserve working ties with both the Junkers and the Hogosha, and whilst we are not hostile of the Cardamine axis, we remain independent and distant from them. In addition, like yourselves, we are advocates of the planned economic model – not virulent capitalism, nor revolutionary destruction – but a middle way, capable of serving both man and his natural brothers.

I do not, of course, expect you to trust us unconditionally, nor will I attempt to insult you by offering a bribe. Instead, I offer a compact; If the Gaians provide us with political support, no matter how tentative, we will happily offer Gaian representatives an observer role through the entire process, with the possibility of establishing a trans-Omega smuggling route between our organisations, if our labours bear fruit. We will be transparent and in earnest. This is not a power grab – we intend to preserve our most faithful domestic ally, even in the most adverse of circumstances.

Call it philanthropy, if you must, but we call it wisdom. If Stuttgart falls into the claws of the globalists due to a lack of determined resistance, we will be the ones that history holds accountable.
