Heyho space game fanatics!

Star Citizen is playable, still an Alpha and rather buggy, yet it just looks amazing and at least I am convinced that it is going to be absolutely great. If you doubt it, watch the video below. It at least convinced me fully.

This video shows the Alpha 3.0: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYCn6iYHj3s
  • 30:00 - 40:00 They took a mission. Equipped. Move to landing pad. Get picked up by spaceship.
  • 50:00 - fighting ends They find the wreck. Retrieve object. Then... nasty surprise.

What I especially love it the huge teamplay feature and the necessity to cooperate to be able to play it seriously.

A group of active IMG| and former IMG| leaders and players decided that we want to also have IMG in Star Citizen and we have already created the faction, infrastructure, got the necessary ships that we will require for teamplay and we plan to do what made IMG in Disco fun: cooperation, teamplay, roleplay - do mining & hauling, escorting and scouting together.

We rewrote the complete lore to fit the Star Citizen universe, removed every trait of the Freelancer universe but kept the basic ideas and the fun parts of what defines the gaming approach of the IMG. I think we managed to strike a good balance there, making sure that we avoid all sorty of "shitty import!" yelling.

So, in case you are interested, contact me, best on Skype: kuscheliger_schmusehase . Then I can drop you into a Skype channel where we have people who are already playing, who are Concierge rank and can answer most questions.

If you register an account (it's free) on https://robertsspaceindustries.com use a referral code to get 5000 credits of ingame money for free. My referral code is STAR-YWXN-QDFP . Everything I should ever get, goes back into the faction obviously.

Oh and for the IMG guys... hehe... I need crew for my brand-new Hull-C transport. And escorts. And loaders. And scouts. And surveyors. And... and... and.... and it's going to be ultracool. Smile Here, the transport... which is... not really small!

FAQs:

1. Why IMGD? Simple, IMG was already taken by some noob. Plus: it is not bad because it does not look immediately like "IMPORT!!!", yet can be found via search function.

2. Will IMG| in Disco die? No. It's going to be quite some time before Star Citizen has the attractivity to really draw people away from Eve, Disco, etc. So, I will definitely still be around and fly around with you. Smile

3. Do I profit from you using my code? Not really in any noteworthy fashion, I get "A series of UEE Squadron Badges for you and a K&W CF-117 Badger repeater for your ship." - which I do not even know what it is. But you get 5000 credits of ingame money, which will definitely help in the start. Everything I should ever get is reinvested into the faction, obviously. Teamplay is the only way to play.

With 3 Orion multi-crew mining ships in which 7 players / ship work the arms, the lasers, the drills, mining operations will be taken to completely new dimensions.

If you have questions, PM me, Skype me, or answer here for more. Smile
Sounds awesome! Count me in as soon as i get a pc that can play it
Got a Carrack sitting in the garage. Anything bigger and id probably crash it.

If i discovery and fields ill know who to call!
I'm loving how SC is coming so far, I'll probably burn some of my christmas money on it, might think about helping you guys out.
Duuuuuude. I will have to get in on this! It probably won't be until version 3.0 hits the Public Alpha, but once it does... Smile

As a point of reference, 5000 starting credits for using Jack's code there as a rookie is a big boost, considering that a lot of starter packages only start with... Maybe 1,000-2,000 credits? To answer what a CF-117 Badger Repeater is, think of it as a Flashpoint laser. Low damage per shot, very high rate of fire. And it fires red lasers!

I don't have a mining ship, but I have a 350R (Racing vessel planned for non-lethal interception), a Cutlass (Multi-Role Do-everything-average ship), and a Sabre Comet (Semi-stealth dog fighter, the Comet variant comes with space shot guns!). I'll likely be using my Cutlass the most, so my fiancé can stay on my ship.

Space is going to be a dangerous place in Star Citizen, and dying will be a very real threat. It'd be nice to hook up with fellow Disco members for some RP and watching each other's backs.

If you can afford it, either today or tomorrow, they will have discount starter ships available that come with special 5-year insurance. Yes, ship insurance fees will be a thing in Star Citizen, but you can avoid that for 5 years with the current anniversary special going on!

Edit: Uh, oops, double-posted in excitement. >_<
The beginner packs on sale at the moment have a long 5-year insurance period attached automatically.
Also these reduced price beginner sets are quite a bit cheaper than the ones I bought just a few week ago.
Grrrmmmlll! Big Grin
I was tricked!!! Big Grin

Auxesia is already there.

EDIT: presses post to fast. Blame mobile.

Looking forward to seeing a more interactive IMG experience.
This is indeed interesting. But is the game worth getting now ? What's the starting price and what are the system requirements for all of that ? Gotta be demanding..
