__History
[Image: o14X95f.png]

The Liberty Security Agency was one of Liberty’s intelligence agencies. It was outfitted with most of the same rights that its origin agency, the LSF. The Agency's plans to become the total vanguard for Liberty, acquiring information, intercepting terrorists and infiltrating valuable organisations for the greater good of Liberty, failed when they sided with the Separatist LSF in 823 A.S.

With the nomads becoming an important part in 800 A.S. agencies all around Sirius needed to resort their priorities. Liberty, a house that has always exploited the technologies provided by the ancient creators of the nomads, was immediately ordering its forces to protect and acquire valuable information about the nomads and their creators. Luckily they already had a good head start even though Rheinland was further due to their earlier involvement with the nomads. The vicious search for power eventually lead to the war against Rheinland.

The LSA was focused on acquiring more information about the nomads but that was by far not the only goal on its agenda. Terrorists and other far dangerous threats used to be putting the Libertonian way of life in jeopardy. Enemies in Liberty are manifold and with the Gallic invasion a new important enemy is turning up that has yet to prove if it will be held off as well as Rheinland. Gaining access to the other houses and the Omicrons needs to be acquired. Safe routes and alliances established. With many factions fighting about leadership in the Omicrons the Agency prefers to tread carefully since supplying forces strong enough to fight them openly is far too risky and expensive for the aspiring agency.

When Battlegroup Harmony followed Admiral Victoria Knight and defected to her side against Liberty, elements within the LSA began to plan for the future. With the eventual disbandment of the LSA, many of these agents went into hiding, aware of the target that their knowledge of the inner workings of the LSF painted on them.

Recently, Admiral Knight reached out to Special Agent Felica Rayne with an offer of work. Reaching out and establishing contact with old members of the LSA, Rayne has given the disillusioned agents a new purpose in furthering the Battlegroups goals. Now they're working as a Separatist version of the LSF. Though their tasks slightly shifted and not having to answer to a civilian government severely increased their freedom of operation.

__Closed Economy System And Recruitment
[Image: o14X95f.png]

Due to limited resources and leading an undercover lifestyle, the returning agents of the LSA do not possess the funds and acquisition abilities of a standard Discovery Freelancer Character. These characters run off a closed economy, and rely entirely on their ingame deeds and income to survive. As an additional twist, every member of the LSAR is treated as a once retired or deactivated agent. This means that for recruitment, all you need to do is pm this account with a proposed story for your undercover/retired/deactivated agent returning to duty, from which ever corner of the universe they are emerging from. We encourage you to consider what an LSF agent might do after leaving the service, whether by choice or forced into hiding, and incorporate this in your characters story.

Once you have been accepted in this manner, you are free to post your story to the forums, marking the reactivation of the character. In addition, once you have been accepted, your pm will be replied to with a partially equipped ship to begin your closed economy character with. How you get to our area of operations and link up with the rest of the chain of command is up to you from that point, as you will be seen as a fully fledged member of the LSAR.

For example, John Smith went into hiding after expressing sympathetic views towards the Liberty Separatists. Having spent some time working as private investigator in Bretonia, he has recently noticed the callsign of one of his former agents in use on the neural net again. Curious, he reaches out, and after making contact, is provided with a location and code to a previously stored ship. Once he has powered the provided ship on, a poorly armored Eagle, he is presented with the coordinates of the LSAR's hidden base, and a set of instructions on how to conduct himself while serving their cause.

In this way, the LSAR will both test you, and assist you in a closed economy environment, by providing a starting point to build off of. The ships are preplaced, with varied loadouts and start locations, in order to reflect hidden safe houses and fall back points that former LSA agents may have prepared in anticipation of plans going south.

Looks very interesting, looking forward to seeing what you guys do.
I don't want to be that guy but is there really any reason why this wouldn't work as a branch of Battlegroup Harmony? I really do not see a reason for it to be its own faction.

I bet it's about ID rules. Official faction must have one ID only. (Although BAF| / QCP thing is strange in such case )
Interesting. Looking forward to encounters with you.
Amazing.
Also what is your reasoning to be hostile with the Corsairs? As far as I can recall both normal Liberty and Harmony don't care about them.
Don't forget the threat on everyone's minds in Liberty , Koa| Kempeitai.
Apologies for my ignorance, but the story doesn't hint at what the hostility towards Ageira stems from. Would be awesome to see that part of the story. Looking forward to meet you in game. Cheers!
I like the group, just... why neutral?

Is it neutral with the agency specifically, or has Harmony generally shifted stance to Unioners?

It's actually pretty similar to what I was going to do with the GEIST+LWB subfaction.
