TO: Unione Course, The Council
FROM: SCEC
RE: Request of Friendship and Assistance.
ENCRYPTION: HIGH
Bonne journée, camarades!

SCEC hereby extend their respect towards esteemed leadership of Unione Course and The Council. Our organisations are not quite familiar with each other and great distances separate us to know each other better. However, the Coalition firmly believes in the principle "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and, therefore, SCEC extents the offer of friendship to your esteemed parties.

As a token of friendship, we would humbly ask you to share an exclusive to Gallia commodity, which is ultra-alloys in the quantity of 10.000 for the purpose of increasing the resilience of our Plesetsk facility to cosmic radiation.

Since there are too many uncertainties as to the delivery of the cargo in question, SCEC kindly asks you to hereby express your readiness to provide the materials only, the details on the operations and reimbursement are to be discussed further on. It would be a great pleasure and honour to call you "mes amies".

Should you consider and concur to our offer, SCEC is ready to sign the Treaty of Friendship and Mutual Understanding as well as provide lasting scientific, logistic support and intelligence sharing for the benefits of the esteemed parties. Together, we can topple the human-hating and exploiting bourgeoisie monarchy of Gallia and free and common folk from the "royal" oppressors.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

With respect,
SCEC CRO Dr. Mstislav Belov

Salut!

I am Tribun Antoine La'Biere, and I represent the interests of l'Unione Corse Sénat.

I must say, we are most surprised to receive this message. Our fame must be wide spread indeed to have reached you! While we are always open to do business with Sirians, we are not at all familiar with you or your organization, and so we really cannot confirm or deny any of your assumptions about who we are and what we can provide. We require certain information that will illuminate the situation more clearly to us before we give your, request, a proper evaluation. We hope that you can provide us with the following.

  1. You speak of mutual friends, mon amie. Who are they, how do you know them, and what have they shared with you of who we are?
  2. You speak of being our friends, Monsieur Belov. Who are you and what is your organization that we would wish to be friends with you?
  3. You speak of providing goods as les hommes d'affaires for you. What renumeration might we be expected to receive in return for sending our vessels laden with cargo to a distant and unknown destination, and what goods might they be expected to return with that we might value?
It is my hope that you are able to forthrightly provide us with these details so that we may get down to business!

Adieu!

Camarade Antoine La'Biere,

We are pleased to receive your reply. Indeed, your fame precedes you and this is the reason we are turning to you. Unione Corse are known as bold daredevils who are adventurous enough to deliver any goods to the most remote corner of Sirius while at the same time having the honour and decency. It is a commendable attitude and I can not but respect you for it.

As a scientist, I favour the structured reply of yours and, therefore will try to provide the same:
  1. I did not mentioned same friends, rather same enemies, who are the exploiting royal regime of Gallia that has caused many unpleasant events and regulations for your Organisations in the past, as our historical data indicate. Aside from that, we support Councils' struggle against monarchist oppressors as well as Crayter Republic in their struggle against the Outcasts and their cardamine plague. We adhere to firm socialistic republican values of liberty, equality and brotherhood for everyone and assume you share them and thus can be our trusted amie.
  2. Since the request is coming from SCEC for its own facility, I deem it appropriate to speak not as a citizen of the Coalition, but as the chief of SCEC. Sirius Coalition Expeditionary Corps (SCEC) is the research unit of the Sirius Coalition, main goal being advancing and utilising the science for the benefit of the People. In particular, we are researching how to revitilise plagued by cardamine contamination world of Braillia, how to build our own AI, and dissecting space-faring bio-engineered species commonly referred to as "the Nomads" and the ill-fated humans infected by the former. We know of your contempt to these abominations and believe we can help you in fending this menace both by our ships and knowledge. Basically, the materials we are requesting are meant to strengthen our facility to further the research in the aforementioned fields. Also, to have a scientist friends is always beneficial, am I not correct?
  3. The reimbursement might vary as you see fit, but I assure you it will be worthy of your time. We can provide standard Sirian Credits, remains of "nomads" for your research, or the best Vodka in Sirius. I would also like to stress that should your pilots find the way to difficult and long, our transport vessels with escort can meet them in neutral territory to carry the goods further and provide the remuneration in any form desired.

I would also like to avail this opportunity to remind that our general proposal of Friendship and Understanding stands. Should you accept it, this will be the first of the many mutually lucrative operations between our people. We are also to further your position in the Coalition and lobby your vision to esteemed SCRA leadership. We are also open to counter-proposals from your respected side, should they arise.

We are looking forward to your response.

With respect,
SCEC CRO Dr. Mstislav Belov

Salut!

Monsieur Belov, we find your offer to be of interest! We believe that a mixture of money and alcohol, items desired across all of human history, should suffice as renumeration for our efforts! We therefore request a flat fee of 10.000.000 S.C. to the account [UC]-Coffre and access to your Vodka stores for our livreurs, at the standard price of course. If you would provide us with the proper route to the destination you request we make delivery to, then we shall make arrangements to have your alloys shipped with expedience! If we find that we are unable to make delivery due to the security standards of your polity in general, then we shall contact you and arrange for a transfer in neutral territory as you have so generously offered.

Adieu!

Camarade Antoine La'Biere,

We are pleased that you have agreed to our request. The most mutually beneficial meeting spot will be in Omega 49 system. Therefore, the best route for you to take is:

Languedoc -> Orkney -> Edinburgh -> Dublin -> Omega 49

however, as our intelligence has notified me, this route is very dangerous. Thus, you can consider the following one:

Languedoc -> Tau-23 -> Tau-31 -> Edinburgh -> Dublin -> Omega 49

There, our people will meet you and exchange the goods for vodka. Since usually to obtain the latter a special request to Coalition border control is needed, we can avoid unnecessary bureaucracy in this case. The payment shall be completed on the spot. Unfortunately, I personally will not be able to oversee the operation due to extensive damage recently dealt to my ship which is under repairs at the moment. Thus, my Aspirant Anton Shweik shall oversee it.

Should you find this process to be too tedious and uncomfortable, we welcome your suggestions to be considered.

Looking forward to hearing from You,

With respect,
SCEC CRO Dr. Mstislav Belov

Greetings, with respect. I noticed, with all respect to diplomacy and theoretical talents of Dr.Belov, he not accurate with logistic and engineering. Firstly, which indeed numbers of vodka you need for your distributing? Border control bureaucracy really waste many time, and better do some barter operations.

Omega-49 is most suitable for this. Alternatively we can do it through Plesetsk cargo bays in O-55, but unfortunately it not fitted for trading operations and there can be issues. And another alternative we can try move our transports convoy to Kusari-Gallic border, but it very dangerous route for us.

Addition: Hm..hm.. we also can tow temporary shipping platform in coalition authority space into Omega-49.
