Standardized equipment (mines, disruptors, countermeasures) unlisted unless divergent

Superstition - SV-17 Virage-type Heavy Escort Fighter
Primary Armament: Heavy plasma-kinetic railgun, experimental (x2), IHx-0 Tachyon-Plasma Accelerator Cannon (x2), Debilitator-series Pulse Cannon (x2)
Other Equipment: Sensor-baffling coating, experimental; BWX-F1A surveillance equipment (basic package, space limitations); experimental external scanners "Bris"
Status: Mothballed, pending equipment reuse. Reactivation deemed too expensive.
Notes: Effective enough in the right hands. New operational profile requires more flexibility.

Green River - Dorado-class Ferry
Primary Armament: Debilitator-series Pulse Turrets, CG-24-type Particle Autocannons
Other Equipment: ADS Owl-F Counter-Surveillance Suite; BWX-F1A-derived surveillance system
Status: Operational, some equipment re-evaluation being done.
Approved Operators: Escher, Shiranui
Notes: The personnel section is basically void to the world. I need to figure out how Aquila did this.

Premonition - Rx-9W Raven Assault Fighter, early model
Primary Armament: Debilitator-series Pulse Cannons, CG-24-type Particle Autocannons
Other Equipment: Project LIMELIGHT ver0.761 Surveillance Package, ADS Owl-AF Counter-Surveillance Suite, ADS Project PRISM Adaptive Power System Prototype
Status: Operational
Approved Operators: Escher, Shiranui, Corona, Sundog
Notes: Premonition has had extensive modification and has been a test bed for a number of my special projects. The Prism APS gives drastically reduced long-burn fuel consumption, but maintenance is complicated.

Paranoid - R-23 Argentavis Recon Clipper (Spatial-class refit)
Primary Equipment: Debilitator-series Pulse Cannons, CG-24-type Particle Autocannons, Supernova-type Anti-Warship Artillery
Other Equipment: Project LIMELIGHT ver0.92 Surveillance Package, ADS Prism Adaptive Power System (production type), BWX-F1A-derived EWAR package
Status: Operational
Approved Operators: Corona
Notes: Paranoid is not an easy ship to handle, and I'm not sure how Corona does it. This ship served as command and control during fleet operations in Rheinland (ref. file: zwickau-r) prior to transfer to the Commission.

Prophecy - Series CX Scimitar-class Border Worlds Heavy Interceptor
Primary Equipment: Debilitator-series Pulse Cannons, Experimental Edge Worlds Tachyon Cannons
Other Equipment: Octavarium R&D CX-R power relay retrofit (ADS Prism-derived), Octavarium R&D VXR4 reaction control system
Status: Operational
Approved Operators: Mindcrime
Notes: Prophecy is a test platform for the adaptation of Edge Worlds tachyon weaponry to Octavarium R&D-built and maintained Border Worlds based ships. It is engineered and piloted solely by Mindcrime as part of the field testbed operations between the Ministries of Intelligence and Engineering.

OCS Save Yourself - Ahoudori-class Explorer, 820 AS Revision
Primary Equipment: Variable for testing.
Other Equipment: Currently standard.
Status: Operational
Approved Operators: Sundog, Escher
Notes: Save Yourself is part of a test project evaluating heavy recon vessels and seeing how much work Aquila needs to put into the project.

Category A

Excalibur
The bureaucracy has slowed some in our time away. Still the most palatable major power, even with their outdated notions of monarchy. Reliable co-aligned interest.

Merlin
Considerably more active than I remember, appropriate to situation. Minimal complication expected.

Espada
A similar lethargy has struck them, but they are far more stable than in tims past. There are certain complications our civilians disapprove of, however.

Stiletto
Competent, intelligent. Potential problem, potential solution to problems. Caution needed.

Eagle
Considerable uptick in infighting. The people seem to have grown restless. This opens many new avenues.

Falcon
How the mighty fall. Complacency ill-advised, but threat deemed minimal; more important problems.

Kusanagi
Paging Minister Chamberlain. Consider stirring pro-Imperial sentiment to undermine business; use caution, can backfire.

Yomi
Inadequate data.

Grunwald
Quiet. Focused on reconstruction. May be best to let sleeping dogs lie.

Tannenberg
Suspiciously active. More investigation needed. Much more.

Tizona
Too distant to be a real threat.

Durendal
Priority threat. Recent events (ref. "Spire") indicate a possible reduction in belligerence. Negotiated peace may be feasible, consider Freeport 4 leverage.

Almace
Little known. Suspected willingness to throw away allies after their use expires makes them undesirable.

Category B

Phoenix
Belligerent, strategically questionable. Fascist tendencies unsettling to Natio civilians, many of whom Remember Zwickau. Uncertain if strategic problems a failure of intelligence or military leadership. As it stands, their goals seem unlikely. A military government will see everyone as an enemy in time.

Spider
Drained. Civilians need stability. Most are unaccustomed to long periods in space.

Osiris
They forget their mission, seek power for its own sake. Caution required. May still be of use.

Murakumo
Appear to have problems with the blue. Would rather not draw that attention, but may be unavoidable, worth gaining an ally.

Pillar Installation

Installation is affiliated with an unidentified cultist faction, distinct from the Maltese "spirit cults". Structure bears no markings of any standard House construction, and does not match with what we have on file regarding Gallic installations either. Material composition unknown, but extremely durable.

Installation has significant habitable modules, arranged into layered decks. Whether just an external ring or a full habitation disk is undetermined. Aquila technician Darren Wilson was given temporary access to the structure for analysis.

Docking bays are particularly wide. Uncertain if this is quick-launch convenience or indicative of the technology in use.

Installation is extremely well-defended... in theory. Hardpoints are currently unarmed, however. This is extremely unusual.

Despite the other unusual aspects of this station, the hardpoints appear on initial analysis to be compatible with standard Sirian technology.

Further analysis is needed. We may be able to use something from this.

Of Thought and Memory

The Huginn-type operations cruiser is built off the hull of the Hel-class interdiction cruiser. The interior is extensively overhauled, to provide for proper support facilities.

The centerpiece of the ship is the Limelight Type-YYZ surveillance system (ref. The Camera Eye), whose components fill much of the unused space a Hel-class typically has set aside for specialized equipment. Though diverging from the original plan, halfway through refitting the EL84 Echo communications system was installed, allowing the Huginn to function as a secure central communications nexus for Natio Octavarium spaceborne operations at an extreme distance.

The Huginn-type was developed for defensive operations, per terms of the arrangement with the Red Hessian Army. As a result, emphasis was placed on concealment - masking the thermal signature, obscuring internal power, shielding the reactor more than operationally necessary, and other similar methods. If confronted, the Huginn-type has adequate armament for a cruiser and short-range jammers for support, but this is not its ideal role and repairs are quite time-consuming. Should combat be necessary, the Huginn makes an excellent rear-line command and control vessel.

Unfortunately, the power systems aboard the Hel were inadequate for hypothetical offensive operations.

The Muninn-type calls for a Vidar-class heavy cruiser, and is largely similar to the Huginn. The Muninn has a combat-ready hangar, though little prevents one from being installed on the Huginn, and its more robust power system allows for more energy to be put into offensive electronic warfare than the Huginn. We do not yet have a spaceborne example of a Muninn, so all results are still theoretical.

The Camera Eye

Project Limelight could have made Aquila Defense Systems famous, were it not for Gallia. Limelight was tested on, in order, Premonition, Paranoid, VXS Spirit of Radio, and VTS Headlong Flight, and in all cases proved an exceptionally capable scanner and surveillance package. It was released as such to limited public distribution, to select Zoners interested in deep space travel and trusted traders hoping to detect pirates before being robbed.

That was not sufficient for Natio Octavarium.

Limelight Type-YYZ was developed based on data from Headlong Flight, which was discovered to have used far less power than a system of its scale was expected to require. As a result, additional forms of scanning were added to circumvent whatever sensor masking our enemies may have; rather than trying to force through any countermeasures, and risk signal tracing, Limelight-YYZ performs a more comprehensive scan and as a result can detect more while blending into background radiation.

The Huginn saw the initial deployment of Limelight-YYZ, to great success. Within its range, it compared favorably to VCS Metropolis's older Spyglass array. While that array likely doesn't reflect the current theoretical best, and the range of Limelight-YYZ is shorter, this is still a remarkable accomplishment for Aquila Defense Systems.
