Konichiwa,

The Core would like to approach you for a business proposition. We need some middlemen to help us ferry a potentially less-than-legal discovery we've made in the Edge Worlds. A huge cache Artifacts on a planet entirely under our thumb.

You might be asking yourselves what makes these different to the ones produced by the Corsairs. There is something undeniably special about them. Upon touchdown on the planet, our marines discovered intact scientific equipment, as well as a small graveyard of long-abandoned ships, their cockpits broken into, of Rheinland origin. All communications equipment had been destroyed beyond repair. Further exploration has lead to the discovery of many interconnected vaults filled with all sorts of treasures - so far, all of them seem to be inert. The vaults seem untouched at first, but some of them indicate evidence of a cover-up by someone or something.

Unfortunately, this has caused the Wild to step up the ferocity and intensity of their attacks against us in the region. Whatever we've found, it's pissed them off. That's got to mean they're special. Or important. We're holding out fine, but this has pretty much put a stop to any plans for regional expansion. For now.

Either way, we want to make the most out of this and make some money. For both us, and yourselves. We believe the Hogosha would make excellent business partners in this endeavour. Interested?

Greetings Fraulein Hawken

Your words have traveled through the network of the Association. Although nowadays the Association is lacking in vitality and leadership to take on bold and unified decisions on matters that affect them, there are still some members who are willing to think by their own head.
Although there are some kinks and concerns to be dealt with on our side, me and a few others are interested in this proposition of the Core. I need to know more.

With warm regards, from the cold capital

Tatsujin Kirei,

All that can be explained has been explained in the initial transmission. If there's anything else you want to know, you'll have to be specific.

Quite simply, we wish to provide you with a wealth of recently discovered artifacts for you to distribute to interested parties in Kusari. We'll establish a trade route from our installation in Omega-55, Dagger Outpost, to wherever you may wish to distribute these goods from in Kusari. This will hopefully make our two organisations wealthier.

Greetings Fraulein Hawken

Very well, they're different, and have their origin in the Omega region. It seems that a more personal evaluation of this Cache is required.

We will arrange a vessel and team to examine some of the goods you are ready to provide in Dagger Outpost soon. Once we ascertain the worth of this cargo, we will be able to give clearer terms to our interest in buying them from you.

I leave a word of warning, as a fellow businessman. Folks in Kusari might show interest in acquiring said goods, and you will find plenty of merchants ready to pay some good credits for a novelty product, but the eyes of the law enforcers might be less tolerant. If they find issue with your agents carrying the goods within Kusari, and there is a conflict of interest, remember the House always wins.

I shall come back to you with news from the evaluation soon.

With warm regards, from the cold capital

Greetings once again Fraulein Hawken

Our team has spent a few cycles in Dagger Outpost, evaluating your goods and discussing prices provided by the sales agents. The overall result is not revolutionary, but the potential for improvement is big.

Our Associates have been dealing with Artifacts and those who uncover them and try to sell them off to curious buyers and xeno-archeologists. In the case of the market conditions of Dagger outpost, it appears that the stock might be big or small, but the extraction output pales in comparison to the Corsairs and major market players. Seems the instability planetside and in space don't give much room for substantial quantitative improvement.

Therefore, my personal suggestion is focusing on quality. The current categorization you people are using in the outpost is appalling, with every piece of rock and every artifact labeled as a novelty and consequently overpriced. A keen eye has noticed a distinct lack of exotic artifacts of high quality, which I wager your organization is setting aside for your own uses and research. That is fine and well, but you still have a lot of good quality articles piled together with frail or unsuitable pieces in lots. Greater effort needs to be placed on separating the wheat from the chaff.

A few Associates have expressed interest in setting up consulting services for Core in assessing the artifact pieces and recommending the best target markets and buyers, and improving your profit margins through informed market pricing. In return, the consultants would be paid for their services with a modest percentage of the profits (3 to 5%), and be given preference on acquisition of artifact lots for the Kusari market.

I'm sure these services will net you a greater value for your fledgling business venture. Interested?

Tatsujin Kirei,

Over time The Core is hoping to expand upon Dagger and assert it's presence over Omega-55 with the cooperation of local powers. Once that is achieved, the extraction process should become much more streamlined, rather than us simply sending shuttles back and forth.

Your proposition to send individuals over for consulting services piques my curiosity. How long will these individuals be on Dagger for? Is it a permanent allocation, or only temporary until our people are taught to properly asses inert items?
