Aoelus Taurinus watched as subject 8473, codenamed "special cargo" 8473 was loaded onto his Eagle fighter. A little tingle in the back of his head. "You are to transfer Subject 8473 to Peublo station, Colorado. You are to await transport there for the subject. After he is transfered to the Sin|Tech labs of Peublo you are to defend the station from all threats. Then to escort the transportation sent for the Subject to Atka Research Station." The buzzing in his head cut out. The transmitter installed into his brain turned off. He headed to board his fighter.

---------------------------------------------

Location: Colorado
Subject Status: In transfer

Aoelus' fighter was pulled out of the tradelane. Immediately he was challenged by a Rogue Greyhound. "Halt, this is the Liberty Rogues." Aoelus engaged his ship transmitter. "Negative, this is SiN|Tech Alpha Wing leader. Leave us or you will be destroyed." With that he accelerated his ship in a slow deliberate motion towards the trade lane ring. "Negative, Rogues engage!" Aoelus smiled. "This'll be fun, I have been cupped up in this cockpit since Sigma-17, a little entertainment will be great." He muttered to himself. He swung his fighter around and was locked onto the Liberty Rogue ship before the ship had even pointed towards his fighter. He fired, his 6 guns chewing through the Greyhound's shield. 12 passes latter and the Greyhound blew to pieces behind him, lighting up his viewscreen. "Hmph, not much of a challenge. I hope he isn't a good example of Rogue talent. I'm surprised he lived long enough to get his hands on a Greyhound. He touched the transmitter button implanted in his mouth, and the buzzing in his head came back. "Challenged by a Rogue, threat neutralized, cargo secure. Alpha leader out." He said to what seemed like noone. He touched the button again and the buzzing turned off again.

Location: Peublo Station
Subject Status: Secured

Aoelus undocked from Peublo Station, the subject secured in the Sin|Tech labs, and he turned towards the asteroid field behind the station, on his way to take out a Xenos station under constructed. Once inside the asteroid field he turned on the transmitter again. "Yvon Lien, Subject 8473, secured on Peublo Station and awaiting transport to Atka Research Station. Alpha Leader out." With that he turned off the transmitter and proceeded to destroy the Xenos he was closing in on.

---------------------------------------------

The news anchor puts her hand to her ear for a second. "I have just received disturbing news from our reporters. It appears Republic Shipping's ace pilot, Yvon Lien, has disappeared today, no signs of struggle or disturbance at his hotel room. Yvon Lien had been spending his leave on Manhatten after escorting a convoy of Republican trains transporting classified materials to the LSF headquarters. Along with the best Republican escort, the materials were stolen from the LSF warehouses, the guards found, dead with what looks like knife cuts along veins and organs. The LSF has classified the names of the materials until an investigation of its disappearance is complete."
"Sh*t!" Aoelus Taurinus slammed his hand into the communication booth. He began to punch in the number of the SiN|Tech Labs again, while he sucked on his bleeding knuckles, scowling. After nearly 10 minutes of repeated calls he was beginning to worry. He waited through the beeping.. Again coming up dry. Fine, if they don't want to answer the phone I'll just go in there myself. He thought.

20 minutes later he found himself banging on the door to the labs.. Again, no one answering. He typed in his command override codes he was given when promoted to a wing leader and the door opened.. And thats when everything went straight to hell.

The two door guards and the receptionist laid on the floor, or slumped on the walls and desk. Laying in pools of blood, carved up, the receptionist decapitated, looking like the head was just tore off, instead of cut. One of the guards had a big bloody hole right in his stomach, the entrails hanging out.

In an instant his feelings went from annoyance to grim determination. He had a job to do, and he meant to accomplish it, whether he had to fight his way through the mass off mutants or not.

He went off running towards the detention center, where Yvon Lien was held.

(OOC: Sry, leader, but you said you would do this part awhile ago, and its just been sitting here since..)
The back of Aoelus' head twinge again.

"Alpha leader, why has subject 8473 not en-route to Conditioning Unit 3? Subject was released 15 minutes ago."

Aoelus growled. "The Pueblo Station labs are attacked. Two guards and the receptionist are dead, and I don't know how many others."

The comm. activated again after a moment's pause. "Why has the central computer not indicated any signs of bio-hazard or attack?"

Aoelus skidded to a halt. Why didn't the computer start screaming the moment something when wrong? He thought about it, and discovered that there was no reason for it to not have. Unless, something was wrong with the CC.

He sidled over to a terminal and brought up the Central Computer diagnostics. It was offline. Aoelus could have laughed. A quick re-activation code was put in, and the alarms that almost blew out his eardrums made him jump 3 feet into the air.

"WARNING! Class VI biohazard detected! All personnel must evacuate at once! Automatic defense systems are offline! Pueblo Research Base now under quarantine! Alerting Central Dogma to this Red Alert! WARNING!" Once Aoelus managed to regain control of his heart, he kept going to the detention center.

***

Of course, the universe is never satisfied with just one thing going wrong. The moment Aoelus stepped into the SiN Tech labs, a rather large wing of Rouges swooped in. They had heard about SiN Tech, and decided the weapons and equipment that they held on Pueblo was just what they needed. 3 wings, comprised of Greyhounds, Wolfhounds, Werewolves, and a pair of boarding craft dived at the station. Fighters rolled, danced, and burst into miniature suns around Pueblo, and the boarding craft struck the station. A signal overrode their communications bays once they landed.

"Alert! This station is under quarantine! A Class VI Biohazard has been detected! Any breach of quarantine will be reported to SiN Tech HQ and to LPI Command on planet Denver!"

The pilots ignored it, and didn't share it with the boarders on in their bays. The cutters went to work, and soon enough the raiders poured into the station.

***

"Alert! Quarantine has been breached! Containment of Class VI Biohazard has dropped to 45% probability! Recommend activating Decontamination Procedures, Code Omega!"

Aoelus' comm. sounded once more. "New mission objectives. Alpha priority; Retrieve Subject 8743. Beta priority; Initiate Decontamination procedures, Code Omega, of Pueblo Base."

***

A single Outcast Scimitar sat in the Silverton field and watched the fireworks. He opened a communications channel out to the Black Pearl, on a wave only the Outcasts knew.

"Don Kristy? It looks like the Rouges are making a move against that SiN Tech base in Colorado. The Pueblo one. It was a stupid idea, but then the thing starts squawking nonsense about a, Class VI biohazard, whatever that is. Something big is going on down here."

(OOC: This was a request by madam Angel herself. How could I not oblige? Feel free to involve yourselfs, if you so wish. Let us see where this Resident Evil/DOOM Movie/Freelancer cross-over leads us.)
**OOC: thanks so much for grabbing my own character lead.**

Aoelus had rounded the corner to the entrance of the detention center and found himself looking at a mutant taking up almost all of the hallway. What looked like a big lump started towards him. Aoelus pumped blast after blast from his gun into the gut, chest, and head of the mutant. Then his gun clicked. A sign of its laser energy depleted. Angrily he tossed it to the side and ran at the lump of meat that had gotten halfway to him. It reached out to grab him, but it was slow, obviously a failure. He leaped onto his arm, which had the thickness of a normal human's mid-body. He jumped and rolled onto its back, and pulled out a wicked looking knife. He stabbed it through the back of the head. The failsafe of all the mutants made at Peublo was located there. The Spyder implanted near the back of the head. Right where he had stabbed the point of the dagger. He leaped off its back and through the detention doors, slapping the door controls as he passed it. Right as the doors closed the spyder inside the mutant's head blew up. The doors were open just enough for some of the blood and plasma to shoot through. Half a second later the door closed.

Standing up, Aoelus peeled some of the skin off his shirt. Leaving a dark orange blood stain. He looked around the room. Some of the mutants were still in their restraints, ones the others had apparently decided not to release when they were out. He looked at the numbers displayed over the restraints, looking for his cargo's number. Finally he found it. Looked down and his mood got even worse. In place of Yvon there was a blood puddle on the floor. Directly beneath were he was supposed to be.

"Sh*t!" he growled.

"hel..hello..." came a voice masked in fear from behind him.

Without turning Aoelus looked back. And saw a head poking out from behind an overturned cot. He started to walk over and the head popped back down. He was about to look behind the cot when the man stood up and swung a pipe at him. There was no time for him to get out of the way before it struck him, but he turned his head and body, taking the blow at an angle, instead of straight into his head. The impact set his ears ringing, but didn't seem to hurt him much. He put his hand to his scalp and came away with some blood. But not enough to say his scull was cracked. Likely just a cut and a nasty bump.

the pipe came flying again, but this time he was ready for it. As it came towards him he grabbed the end coming towards him and pulled. It pulled Yvon Lien over the cot and Aoelus spun around him and pulled the pipe to his throat. He pulled hard on it.

"Relax." He bit out.

Yvon kept struggling for a few more moments, until finally he relaxed his grip and stopped struggling. Aoelus released the pressure on his throat.

"Let me go!" Yvon yelled. His voice cracking.

"Stop yelling!" he growled. "You want to run, go ahead. They will kill you. You haven't been injected with chemicals yet, they will think your just another human working here. The only way you will get out of this alive is if you come with me."

Yvon started struggling again. And Aoelus pulled the pipe again. Reluctantly Yvon slumped, letting go of the pipe. Aoelus tossed the pipe across the room. It bounced off the floor with a clang.

"Now get going." He said, shoving Yvon towards the doorway. Yvon glared back at him. Then stopped short when one of his feet slipped. Looking down at the heap of blood and muscle that had once been another mutant. His eyes wide.

"Thats what will happen to you, if you don't get moving." He said, his voice neutral. they started walking again, Aoelus bent down to pick his dagger off the floor. Wiped it clean on the sleeve of his shirt. And replaced it back in its concealed holster.

Ten minutes later they were back at the entrance to the labs. Aoelus stopped and picked up the guard's guns and clipped them onto his belt. Not quite as effective as his own, but it was better than nothing. They started on their way to the hanger.

He had rounded the corner to the secondary hanger bays and ran right into a group of 4 Rogues. Any other person, at least one with any sense, would have ducked back behind the wall he came through. Instead he brought his foot up and leaned against the wall. The Rogues were starting to bear their pistols towards him as he pushed off the wall with his hands and foot, jumping to the other side of the hallway. He ducked behind the wall. Looked around the corner quickly to see how many of them there were and pulled his head back just in time to save it from getting a few holes in it as a barrage of laser fire came flying back at him.

"Catch!" he shouted to Yvon. Tossing one of the pistols across the hall. He looked back down the hall again. The move had had the effect he wanted. The 4 Rogues had started to track their blasters towards the other side of the hall, where he had tossed the blaster. From the armor he saw on the Rogues there wasn't much chance of getting an accurate enough shot to penetrate while he was ducked behind a wall. He stood and ran towards them pulling his dagger out of his belt. He had cut the throat of the closest man before the others had registered his presence. He cut down the other one with a blow to the chest before the others could bring their weapons around to bear on him. He tossed the dagger towards the third as he started to fire his blaster. Its fire tracking towards him. The dagger caught the man in the gut, and he folded over in pain.

His hand was reaching back to his belt for the remaining gun when he felt something cold and hard press against the side of his head.

"Hold it." Came a hard voice. He glanced to his side to see the last Rogue holding a rather large blaster at him.

"Raise your hands slowly." He said.

Aoelus started to raise his hands, and the Rogue pulled his gun a bit farther from his head, to stop Aoelus' hand from bouncing into it. He saw the man's eyes glance down the hallway where Yvon was hiding. And at that moment he struck. He kicked his foot out to the side and caught the man's knee. The man took a step back and fired his gun off. Burning some of the hair off his head and heating his skin. He pulled his arm up and grabbed the pistol, twisting their arms he put the gun to the other's armpit, one of the few places the armor didn't protect. He triggered off 3 shots the last burning its way through the shoulder to hit the ceiling. He let go and the man slumped to the ground.

Aoelus stood up straight and looked down the hall towards Yvon. His head turned to see Yvon pointing a blaster in his direction.

Right as he was about to lunge for the pistol he left on the ground when Yvon fired.

He watched as the bolt came flying towards him.

To be continued

(Don't finish this part lead.)
Aoelus started docking at Atka Station. Putting down in the SiN|Tech's reserved hanger bays. He signaled to a tech to open up the cargo bay. Jumping down he walked to the comm array located on the wall next to the blast doors out of the hanger. He typed in the command to open communications with the SiN|Tech command staff on the station.

"What has happened on Peublo Station?" The voice on the other end demanded.

"The central computer was shut down, and the mutants escaped. By the time I got there, everyone else was dead. Except the mutants.

I found Subject 8473 and we took off towards the hanger. As we got there a group of Rogues were boarding the station, and some came down the hallway...

**Flashback**

Right as he was about to lunge for the pistol he left on the ground when Yvon fired.

He watched as the bolt came flying towards him.

Then his eyes widened a bit in surprise as it flew over his head. Yvon Lien pumped shot after shot over his back. He looked back the other way to see that he was shooting into the hanger at a dropship, soldiers running down the entrance ramp. As realization came to him he ran at the doorway, punched the door controls. He ran to the door as it closed.

"Quick throw me the gun!"

Yvon tossed the gun to him. He pulled the energy cartridges out of them And tied them together with his shoelace. It was a trick one of his trainers had taught him. Within moments the power packs would overload each other, and shortly thereafter would make a very large explosion. He pulled the laces tight, and opened the door. Laserfire came through almost immediately. He sat there on the side of the wall until the Rogues found that no one was coming out or shooting anything. Then he leaned and tossed the cartridge in. Shut the door and waited. Five seconds later he heard an explosion, and half a second afterwards he felt the shockwave. Opened the door and got no return fire. Looking in he saw he was close enough to trigger a second explosion of the Dropship. Most of the Rogues lay on the floor, dead or unconscious. A few were still standing but distracted.

"Follow me!" He shouted. He took off, looked behind him to make sure Yvon Lien was following.

"Get in the cargo hold!" He said as he leaped up into the cockpit.

He powered the ship up, which got some scattered shots from the remaining Rogues. The bolts had no chance of penetrating the armor. He launched and flew away from the station. In the direction of Kusari.

He walked down to the cargo hold.

"Thanks for getting me out of there, I thought I was dead."

"Save it." Aoelus growled.

Yvon have him a quizzical look. Aoelus walked behind his back, and struck out his hand, hitting Yvon's back neck. Yvon slumped to the floor. He quickly tied him to a chair and got back up to the cockpit. He set course for Atka Research Center in Sigma-17.

He thought into his mind.

"Loaction: On-route to Atka, fro Peublo Station.
Time: 802 AE. January, 8th.
Subject Status: Secured.
Peublo labs status: overrun by Rogues and Mutants. All security believe dead. Suggested action; send SiN|Enforcers."

He waited flying to Atka, for the reply from his commanding officer. Not expecting a pleasant response.

[Okay, NOW you can write something. After, or during the flashback, either works.]
Central Dogma, contacting pilot Aoelus; Alpha Wing Commander.
Your suggested course of action has been noted, and Primary Authority has agreed that it is the right action. HQ on Manhattan has been notified. Shock troop and SiN|Tech HevWep squads are preparing to contain the situation.

Current orders: Bring Subject 8473 to base on Atka station. Assemble Alpha wing. After Subject is secured with Conditioning Unit 3, proceed to Pueblo Station and assist in any mop-up procedures. The Liberty Navy has been alerted and will dispatch the Battlegroup Mt.SaintHellens to keep the station clear of any new threats and to assist in maintaining quarantine.

ALERT: Failure to engage Decontamination procedures may have resulted in unexpected mutation and destruction of property. Rescue of Subject 8473 has negated any penalties for this action, Primary Authority indicating that the Rouge attack broke quarantine and that a Code Omega might not have cleansed the station to desirable levels.

Please acknowledge new orders.

Aoelus was wrong in one respect, assuming that everyone was dead. This was not the case, as the now 4 man team of would attest to. Rather pointedly as one of them fired off a Scatter Gun round that popped a mutant's head like an over pressurized red-paint filled balloon.

"Clear!" The man growled out from behind the faceplate of his helm. Two others were armed with the SiN|Tech exclusive EMRG-43 Type R and the last was a 'Heavy' sporting another SiN|Tech exclusive, the LMBRBG-10. The rifles were similar to the antiqued F-AMAS in design, but instead of using explosive chemicals to propel little bits of metal, the EMRG-43 used electro-magnetic energy to propel needles of metal downrange at speeds upwards of Mach 2. They were effective anti-personnel weapons, penetrating all but the heaviest of body armor. The LMBRBG-10, or 'Ripper' as it was known to the grunts for it's ability to rip through most opposition and ammunition with equal gusto, worked on the principle of 'If one is good, then 6 must be better!' It was simply that, 6 blasters wrapped up into one mini-gun configuration. Quite nasty pieces of work, able to take on both infantry and light vehicles.

But you don't want to hear about those. You want to hear about more 'splody brains, right? Well, you are in luck. The 'Heavy' noticed a group of hapless Rouges bumbling down the blood slicked corridor and decided today was not a day for mercy.

"Down in front!" He barked, and the third member rolled to the side as the 'Heavy' leveled his weapon. The barrels clicked menacingly as they spun up to speed, faster and faster until with a loud roar the weapon poured deadly energy into the oncoming mass. Bolts flew down the hall and impacted into the Rouges. Those who were lucky saw their chests blossom with blood like obscene flowers then died. Those who were not, well...

Some were cut in half, literally. Others lost limbs, like arms, legs, and heads. Still others just folded like wet cardboard and flew apart into bloody chunks. At last the glowing barrels clicked to a halt, and the blood soaked hallway was now a blood-drenched hallway.

"Clear." He said, a hint of maniacal laughter creeping into his voice.

One of the rifle armed soldiers paused for a moment, then aimed briefly and fired of a round. There was a loud 'CRACK!' as the projectile broke the sound barrier, and the head of a Rouge who had survived the massive onslaught of energy burst open.

"-Now-, it's clear." the soldier grinned at the Heavy from behind her helm. The Heavy just scowled.

"Come on, let's move!" The one with the Scatter Gun urged the team onward, to find still more mutants and Rouges to kill. -Someone- had to keep this place clean, didn't they?
