Biography:
Living in the territory of the Coalition almost guaranteed a generic life. The entire family spent their lives as factory workers, working various shifts to attain that symbolic paycheck to keep the boat afloat. The youngest daughter in the family of four decided not to follow suit, instead, she conscripted into Nanjing military academy where she took her first steps into her military career.
Military life within the Coalition was not easy neither merciful. Everything had been strict from general appearance to behavior, sculpting and tailoring the best of soldiers in the sector. Liling had performed her preliminary training perfectly and was soon taken by the Marine Corp in Lishui base where she received the rest of her training. Her wittiness and good execution of orders did earn her superiors liking and respect, earning herself some reputation within the corps.
The Junior Lieutenant found herself on the field of Hongzhou military base on Jiangxi, where she had served for two years before receiving a promotion to lieutenant. Soon after, she was redeployed to the CPW-Krivak as part of the security detail onboard the ship, serving there for 6 months before on a 6-month basis for 4 years to different Revolutionary Army warships, participating in various operations of security and offense, getting a promotion to captain. Eventually, she was deployed to CPW-Kuznetsov just in time for the Jiangxi disaster in 817 A.S. Liling , had arrived as part of the relief force to the planet, deploying with the rest of her unit into the industrial district of the planet to eliminate any hostile straggles that managed to split planetside. The obliterated population of the planet made no discrimination, all kind of inhabitants were killed during the crisis, including the captain' s parents who had been found burnt to death inside the factory they'd spent their entire life working in, believing its sturdy walls and roofs would protect them from getting massacred. Liling was given little time to grieve for her lost ones, soon returning back to service with a colder and resentful heart.
The captain's reputation within the corps continued to grow positively for her professionalism, but negatively for her extreme measures, as subjective as that is. Earning herself both friends and enemies of those that approve of her rather distinct perspective and those that don't. She became rather more vocal about her disagreements with her comrades or superiors, almost falling into trouble for it, but always knowing the limit to stop. Despite that, she always kept an eye out for her own, always doing her best not to lose a single soldier or to mess up in an operation. The captain was to become a major a couple years later just before she participated in the offensive operation during the Battle of Duma on Volograd, neutralizing units that participated in the failed coup. Liling suffered a severe near-death wound in her neck during the operation and was hospitalized for 6 months.
The rest of her service saw less action, as she was deployed to a military base on Volograd where she oversaw the company she was assigned to command for four years. Liling had opened her perspective on various ideals and morals of the universe, including the coalition. Helpless people required aid even beyond coalition space, tyrant governments failing to provide aid to people through their corrupt systems, she knew she belonged there and not within the coalition.
