History

You know all those pretty underground ads that you see in the more slimy places on Manhattan? The ones advertising the underground parties for rich kids who want to get high off of Cardamine and drink through the night, only to wake up the next morning with a huge hangover and no motivation to do anything but spend their parents' money? Dylan's childhood was defined by interaction with that crowd - but not as one those rich kids. No, he was the kid who made those parties possible - doing whatever underground work he could to keep himself fed and clothed, with some semblance of stabliity.

Dylan never knew his parents or family. As far as he's aware, he could have been grown in a lab somewhere. His earliest recollections are of his fight for survival - everything from Cardamine running to party promoting to prostitution - Dylan did whatever was necessary as a kid to survive. Never one to wander and always having a goal in mind, Dylan was exposed to Liberty's seedy underbelly and became a part of it, because that's what was necessary. Unlike most kids caught up in that life, however, he was able to avoid Cardamine addiction himself, or worse being traded off to the underground slave trade in Pittsburgh. But he only avoided it because of the involvement of a Liberty Police detective.

At the age of 19, Dylan's constant minor violations with the law finally turned into something big. Caught up in a bust on a prostitution ring, Dylan's role gave him the possibility of spending most of the rest of his life in LPI Sugarland. However, the arresting detective decided that, instead of throwing Dylan to the wolves in prison, he would personally take on the boy's rehabilitation. And he succeeded. Through mentorship, education and helping Dylan build connections with the lawful factions of Liberty, this detective empowered Dylan. He taught Dylan right from wrong, and how he could survive and make a difference to others. Most importantly, he taught Dylan self respect.

That detective and Dylan are still friends to this day. After a few years, however, Dylan went off on his own, joining the forces of the Liberty Police in his detective savior's footsteps. Now serving as a patrol officer, he hopes to give others the chance that he got - to get away from a life of petty crime, physical danger and the risk of prison. He wants to make a difference, and help keep all of Liberty safe for all citizens.
