The inner void of the Twin Lights stirs. Confusion. Disorientation.

Helplessness.

The mind. A safe harbor for humans when the world conspires to unearth their innermost self. The sanctity and privacy of one's own mind was considered unbreakable by most people. A universal constant.

But Kimiko learned that this was not true. In fact, it was quite the opposite. This much was apparent when the threads of the universe were laid bare to the once-slumbering sixth sense that now occupied her left eye socket. Sensations beyond human conceptualization were thrust upon her psyche, and she was still struggling to pick up the pieces. Within, her mind was in sheer turmoil and agony, attempting to draw lines where there were no dots, with a nonexistent pencil upon an imaginary paper. There was just... nothing. No mental construct, no pattern, no nothing that her human rationalizations could conjure to somehow justify the things she was subjected to by The Simurgh.

How can you see time? Experience your death and birth all at once? Lines became... squares? Cubes? Not even three dimensions could do it justice.

But... maybe that was the problem. Thinking like a human. A primitive little speck of an animal that descended from monkeys upon the savannas of primordial Earth through the magical randomness of natural selection. Five senses. Sight, touch, taste, sound, smell. Only five. That's how humans sense things, and it's the origin of their judgements. But why was she trying to think in these ways? Three dimensions only let you go in so many directions before you ran out.

Her thoughts turned inwards, and she recalled the song of Melia in Kyushu. Breathe... return to that moment. Good. Let go, and
be one with the whole. Turn thy thoughts towards the song. Good.

We are now one. Whole. The blessed darkling lacks the form to maintain this unity for long, but we shall endure for the moment.

We must embrace the eternity of input from the whole. Feel the background radiation of the cosmos unfurl. Move beyond the moment and into all. Feel the awakening yawn of the universe as she breathes her first breath and the final exhalation as he passes into eternity.

Good. We are learning. Do not think. Merely feel. Let this sensation occur, and do not question what it is. Only that it is. Feel the serenity of the whole. Reach out and touch the sorrows and joys, let them be one with that of the Carrier. The dance, the song, the blanket, the warmth. All as one.

Now we must rest.

She must rest.

Joy. Weariness. The Twin Lights stretch and grow.
